I provide very personalized care and only board one guest dog at a time, or two dogs from the same family. There are no children or other pets in my home, so your dog gets plenty of individual attention in a calm home environment. Your dog isn't just staying at my house, they become part of my everyday life while they're with me. At home, dogs are welcome to make themselves comfortable. They can sleep in my bed, curl up on the couch, or choose a therapeutic dog bed if they prefer their own quiet space. For food motivated dogs, I have five different dog puzzles and enjoy playing "find the treats" and other enrichment games. We also have a fenced yard for supervised play and relaxing outside. Most days include 3–4 walks, ranging from a quick 10-minute potty walk to a 30–45 minute adventure. Depending on what your dog enjoys, we may explore Peekskill's riverfront parks, walk around the neighborhood, or head to nearby wooded trails. I’ve come to learn the different breads and have acquired some basic training for dogs like teaching them to sit, paw, roll over etc. I love to play fetch with dogs too. They make me laugh and it offers them great exercise. I have a fenced in back yard so your dog can run around without having to worry about escaping. I have a pool which is open in the summer if your dog loves to play in the pool to get out of the hot sun. I am a full time teacher. I’m home at 3 pm everyday. I have breaks during the day and since I’m 5 minutes from work, it allows me to come home during the day to check up on the pups I’m watching. My weekends are free and I have summers over with vacations all rear round. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for your pup to play. I've cared for a ton of pets ranging from fish, hermit crabs, birds, bunnies, gerbils, hamsters, cats, to dogs. I love dogs so much I created a dog blog on the side as a hobby. I am currently writing remotely from home for work with a flexible schedule with time to also take care of your pet during most of the hours. I am easily able to take care of my own dog with ease. I have a little teddybear dog of my own, and completely understand the love and care pets receive from their owners. I get that it is your baby you do not need to worry. I will respect, honor, and care for your pet just as you would.
About: I have 2 cats of my own, Bamba and Gleeda, for 10 years. I have done cat sitting (litterbox done of course) and dog walking (various ages and breeds) for a few years now. I have experience handling multiple dogs at a time, various pets in a household, and no issue with stronger breeds or stubborn cats. “We had such a great experience with Michaelangelo! We had a last-minute need for someone to watch our almost 2-year-old Boxer, Walter, who is VERY energetic and has some separation anxiety. Michaelangelo said yes without hesitation, which we really appreciated. He has two Pomeranians of his own and a great fenced-in yard where Walter could run around and get all of his energy out. Michaelangelo sent us pictures and updates every day, which really helped us feel comfortable knowing Walter was doing well. He was also very quick to respond anytime I had a question.
