About: I have taken care of dogs and cats ranging from under one year to 14 years of age. I have administered medication for dogs and cats (orally and via shot). I have provided care for extremely social dogs and anxious pups—I am confident in my ability to provide connection and care.I have also taken care of chickens and am comfortable doing so. I have been living with a golden retriever puppy for the last two years so I’m eager to spend time with some pups of kittens! I am a middle school teacher on summer break. She stayed in my house with them for over a week during Christmas and New Years, was a great communicator, kept me updated with photos, and I felt very reassured leaving my pets with someone so responsible. Upon my return everything was tidy, the cats were well fed with extra food and water laid out, and litter boxes cleaned. It was a great experience and so wonderful having her take care of them while I was away so I could relax and enjoy my vacation worry free.”
About: I have taken care of dogs of every kind for the past 18 years (since I was 15). I am experienced with cats, birds, and reptiles as well. I have worked as an assistant at an exotic veterinary hospital so I also have knowledge of admitting medicines, fluids, CPR and have access to immediate care when necessary (although situationally dependent would be a small commute). My mother and I had a sitting and boarding business for 10 years in CT so I come with references. I no longer work full time so I have open availability and if you need a house sitter my dog does not come with me he stays with my father. She stopped by AFTER a full days work, which was at least another 20 minutes in the opposite direction from me. About: Common courtesy and communication is paramount. **Willing to travel up to an hour away. Just because Rover says you are outside my service area it does not always mean you are. I have clients an hour North and South of me. **Necessary update as of 6/21/23** I will require current credit card info be on file at your vet or provided for me in your pet write up ONLY in case of emergency. In the event of an emergency and I could not get a hold of the human, puppies have no pockets to hold a card, the vet required me to pay. I have raised 3 separate RESCUE Rottweilers to be exceptional ambassadors of their breed. I currently do not have any pets since my big boy passed away in 2016. I hope to again one day have my own dogs. Until then I will love YOUR pet. **I DO NOT board animals at my home. Only repeat clients would MAYBE be possible for a very short amount of time.** Clients pets have included many breeds, species for days, weeks. Many Golden Retrievers, Doodles, mixes aka Heinz57s, Old English Sheep dog, lots of kitties, a chameleon, turtles, a bearded dragon, a small bird, fish, Rottweilers, a very challenging but lovable English Bulldog and Huskies one of which was very reactive. Oh and a LOT of house plants! PLEASE NOTE: I am deathly allergic to horses which I am very sad about. Any type of animal requiring LARGE amounts of hay would also be a problem i.e, goats, cows, alpacas I am sorry to say. Small rodent animals requiring hay for food or bedding has not been a big deal. My personnel dogs were very public dogs, parks, events etc. With the ever present fact in mind that as good as my animal was it is still an animal. Never purposely putting them in a situation to be loose (unless at home or a fenced park) or get into anything that could harm them. Read quite a few books/manuals by military working dog trainers in hopes of training a service oriented Rottie. Came very close to passing the Good Citizen certification but my dogs never liked the “stay” part when I had to walk away with my back turned. They just had to be next to me. So close. PLEASE NOTE: I have my preferences set to NOT to show any photos of YOUR pet publicly. I would ask permission first to share. Photos only NEVER infomation of course. My schedule allows me to be available to be in YOUR HOME, with your pets all day/night, unless noted ahead of time and of course trips to the store. I have many types of animals that insist on sleeping in bed just like they do when their people are home which in fine by me. Just take some Benadryl and snuggle on in. I try to stick closely to how the home runs normally so the pets do not have any surprises that can make them anxious. Sleep, food, walks, play time etc. I supervise dogs in their own yard fenced or not. I am very organized and like an outlined idea of their schedule to be written down for me to follow as closely as YOU would.

About: I've had dogs since I was born, have worked in shelters and keep raising my own puppy dog. I give dogs multiple walks and play with them. If necessary I take them hiking, play fetch outdoor and give them lots of love an attention. I will make your dog feel like family and help with any training that you're working on. I would love to have many digs but at the moment we can only afford one as we travel through occasionally. I also have experience with raising chickens, water fowl, and goats! I am not working at this time, so I am available all through out the day. I am able to work around your daily routines. I am unable to provide boarding services at my apartment because it is too small. However, I am able to come to your home and provide walking services. As well as company for your pet. If allowed, I would bring them to the dog park to get in some good runs.

I also fostered older dogs who could not find homes due to their age. I currently have a one year old yellow lab mix. He’s dog and cat friendly. In order to board your dog, your dog must be dog friendly. I also require a meet and greet to ensure it’s a good fit. Buddy is not neutered so unspayed females are not a good fit. I offer boarding in my home. I live in a second story apartment in an old building with a large yard. There is a picture of my apartment located within my pictures. I only board one animal at a time as it's a one bedroom apartment. It allows me to spend quality time with your pet! For boarding I do provide dishes and toys, but many animals prefer to have some of their own. I have open availability on weekends, however I work from home on weekdays and there may be times I need to be out of my home for up to three hours. I have a camera in my home and will be able to remotely check on your pet if I need to be away for work. I will always inform you prior to the booking if I have appointments out of the home. I am experienced feeding animals in a variety of ways and will follow your instructions on feeding and walking.
