About: Hey I’m Caroline! My husband and I live with our 2 rescue dachshund mixes, Bert and Reggie, in Taberg, NY. I am currenly accepting new clients for drop-in visits and walking. I have over 20 years of experience with dogs, cats, chickens, small mammals, horses, birds and reptiles. I have experience with dog walking, feeding and watering, administering medications, and training puppes. I have been volunteering at animal shelters for over 10 years. I have had pets such as dogs, cats and small mammals for over 25 years. References can be provided upon request. I work full-time from home in Taberg, NY, so I can do drop-in visits or walks in the Camden/Rome/Utica area on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I am available other weekdays upon request. About: I have grown up around pets my whole life! Dogs, cats. I loved getting to know them all and take care of them. There personalities are all different much like a human and I am always excited to see who they really are. I am looking to get a part time job within the next two weeks. So more than not I will be able to watch and play with my new friends more! I have been around many dogs before even ones that are more aggressive. Over time I have started to learn the signs of two dogs who are uncomfortable with each other. I would never leave a dog with another dog that isn’t comfortable. I can crate the dog or have them there at different times.

About: I grew up with two cats, so I love cats as well as dogs. In 2019, I adopted an incredibly loving, gorgeous lab pit named Lucy, and she keeps me very active every day! She was a rescue dog, and although we were originally fostering her, I bonded with her too much to let her go. I’ve always been a natural introvert and have been drawn to the compassion of animals. I believe we can learn more about our own humanity through caring for animals. I look forward to meeting your amazing furry friends! In addition to Rover, I substitute teach right now, and this allows me to have a very flexible schedule. It's closer to part-time than full-time. About: Animals, especially canines, are my entire life. I'm a pack leader at a dog daycare and it's the best! I have a large amount of experience in the animal care field, and also training in dog and cat behavior. Being a pet parent, I understand that you need to have someone trustworthy while you're away, and I am that person. With my own dogs, we enjoy being outside, a lot. Hiking, walking, swimming...we do it all. Exercise is very important to have a happy and healthy pet. I am a very happy-go-lucky person and dedicate my life to the happiness and wellness of animals. I have 13 different critters in my home, and more often that not: more dogs! I would be more than happy to get together and talk! My daily schedule is flexible. I have 12 dogs of my own that require constant care that include potty breaks and play time. Our pack is only alone for about 4-5 hours a day. All of our dogs (personal, boarding or foster) are generally integrated with the pack. We try to accommodate all dog personalities. If they don't do well in the big pack, we tend to crate and rotate smaller play groups. Wake up is anywhere from 5:30-8:30 am and last potty is around 9-9:30 pm. Feedings are 2-3 times a day that happen in either a crate, pen, or separate area to prevent any issues. Water is always available inside and outside the house. We also have so many toys, like drowning in toys. Our home is structured, but in a chaotic way.

“Our Sophie spent 4 nights at Geoffrey's house while we were away. Geoffrey sent many pictures, videos and updates to let us know how Sophie was doing to reassure us, especially since Sophie has many insecurities/fears that can be difficult to anticipate/understand. We did a meet and greet prior to scheduling our overnight reservation and Geoffrey gave us a thorough tour of where Sophie would be staying and what her days would be like, ensuring us of her safety and comfort while she would be in his care. This was an overall good experience for us and Sophie.”

“I needed a last minute boarding for my dog on Memorial Day Weekend. I had never used Rover previously but a friend recommended it. At first, I was a little nervous leaving my dog with strangers but didn’t have many other options. I brought my dog to Matthew and Christie’s house to meet them and their dog a day or two prior and was immediately relieved. They have a very pet friendly set up, fenced in yard, and our dogs immediately became friends. While I was out of town, they sent me updates and pictures, responded to all my messages immediately, and made me comfortable knowing my dog was in excellent hands. I will definitely be recommending them to anyone who needs a doggy sitter!”
“Prior to booking Kara, I hadn’t used Rover in years and was nervous about leaving my dog in the care of another person—we’re attached at the hip. However, I couldn’t have booked a better person. Kara is extremely communicative and caring, and had plenty of space for my pup to run around and explore. She asked lots of clarifying questions prior to booking, and I could tell she really enjoyed and remained curious about the personality of my dog! I received lots of pictures and quick responses. My energetic Staffordshire Terrier, Toto, enjoyed a long weekend of naps and sunshine, and returned to me vibrant as ever! Kara’s awesome care eased any worries I might have had, and I highly recommend her to anyone who might also be a reluctant helicopter parent like I am! If this if your first Rover rodeo, you can proceed with confidence, which is an amazing feeling to have.”
