“As all true dog lovers know, a dog is not just a pet, it is a member of the family. As such, I am very cautious about where and who I leave my dog with. As we had never had to leave our Violet with anyone, my wife and I were very worried when we had to leave our girl for almost 2 weeks. We did not feel comfortable boarding her at a kennel as we didn’t think she would respond well to that environment. So, we went to Rover to see if we could find someone we thought would be a good fit for our Violet. After reading multiple write ups on various Rover sitters, we found Erika who we thought looked like a good fit and was close to our home. At our meet and greet with Erika, my wife and I had perfect peace as we met with Erika and saw the home where Violet would be staying. Erika had a warm and inviting home, a fenced in backyard, and the perfect playmate, ( her dog Huxley) for our girl Violet. My wife and I decided immediately that this home and sitter would be the perfect fit for Violet. We were not disappointed! Erika loved our Violet as much as she loved her own dog and showered her with love and affection. She sent us daily pictures and videos of Violet and her dog playing, napping, and just having a wonderful time. She was having so much fun. We jokingly, worried that Violet wouldn’t want to come home with us after spending time with Erika. Ha Ha. In summary, any dog would be lucky to spend time with Erika. She is an amazing person and we were so happy we found her. This app only let me put in a rating of 5 stars, but if I could have, I would have put in 10 or more stars in rating her performance. We would definitely use Erika again in the future, if and when we needed to board our Violet. My only worry is that after reading my review of Erika, everyone will want to board with her and I won’t be able to have my Violet stay with her when I next need her. Ha ha.”

About: I absolutely adore animals but especially dogs, I worked at a dog kennel for two years, which has helped me to gain experience around dogs of any and all different sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments/requirements. I have been dog sitting/walking and doing overnight stays for 3 years and take great pride in taking care of your pet as if they’re my own! I am working part time at a kennel right now, however my shifts are very short (5 hours max but typically 2.5-3 hours). I get my schedule on a week to week basis, so if you want to guarantee that I have the availability to watch your pup, let me know at least 2 weeks in advance and I will happily request off from work to help you out (please still feel free to reach out even if its less than 2 weeks in advance, I likely will still be able to help you out). Having such short shifts, im available for pop-ins and walks the majority of the day, however there should be no problem with staying overnight as my latest shift is from 8:15-9:15pm at the kennel for let out. I will care for your pet as if it’s my own to ensure their safety and enjoyment for the time I am with them, as well as making sure your home is safe while you are away. I will follow any and all instructions that are given to me to guarantee everything runs smoothly and that your pup has a great and safe time!

About: Hi my name is Samantha, I have a home I share with my toddler son and we have 1 pup. We have our 10yr old small spaniel mix, Daisy, that I’ve adopted from Texas. She gets along well with other dogs & loves to play. It was apparent that she never experienced her puppy days before our family took her in. I've had her for 8yrs now and she has become so comfortable and happy in her forever home with us and is very active. She loves to go out on walks and is an even better snuggler. I have had animals my entire life so I love to play, walk and go for runs with them. They have free-roam of the house and the fenced in back yard, and I'm ok with them on my furniture. My dog loves to walk when we can get out, but if not, she loves playing outside before I leave for work and as soon as I get home she runs the back yard. I work during the day M-F, however I work from home 2 days/week. I typically spend my nights home. I am in the military reserves so 1 weekend a month I am away from my home and try not to accept sitting during those long days. I would like more company for my dog as we recently lost her older fur-sister, this has been a transition for us all losing our sweet girl. I have plenty of toys and treats, and I ensure dogs always have free roam of our space. I would just ask that I'm made aware of any restrictions, allergies, behavior issues, etc. ahead of time. I will make sure your dog has the best service and attention in my home and will keep you up to date with their activities by texting pictures and video's through out their stay if you ever wanted! I work M-F, mix-matched teleworking days (flexible). I get up in the morning to let my dog play in the back yard, then she eats before I leave for work. We like to play in the back yard every 1-3hrs and we take breaks frequently so there would be some indoor and outdoor exposure for daily play (weather pending). My yard is fully enclosed so I like to bring my dog out with me to play, sniff, lounge and anything else. I have an outside pool that is for dogs so they can get water, play in it or lay down to cool off whenever they’d like. I have a fenced yard and a friendly fur baby to play with. I also have 2 crates available as needed if it’s a preference of yours. In your home, I can follow any instructions left to make sure your fur-baby feels as comfortable as possible at home in their space without you there.

Sassy had never been under someone else's care and my aunt was nervous about leaving her with a "stranger". But Mindy was wonderful and allowed us to come for a 'meet and greet' when we arrived in town the day before our booking. My aunt was still nervous about leaving her the next day because Sassy, being a Maltipoo, has separation anxiety. But Mindy knew taking Sassy for a walk right after we left would be a good distraction. About: I’m a fun, patient, attentive and big-hearted animal lover with a lifetime of experience caring for pets. Growing up with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and reptiles, I’ve developed a deep understanding of their needs. I’ve cared for pets ranging from reptiles and fish, to senior dogs and cats, to puplies and brand new kittens. At 19, I adopted my first dog, a Bull Mastiff, and raised him from a 6-week-old puppy to a 140-pound adult. I’ve also cared for my family’s cats after my mother passed, and I lovingly adopted a 12-year-old Cairn Terrier, providing him with care until his passing at 16.5 years. While I have no formal training, I have a natural ability to train animals with patience and love, always using a firm yet gentle approach. I’m experienced in handling a variety of species, including reptiles like ball pythons and geckos, and have even assisted with rescuing wildlife. What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals, my diverse experience, and my ability to provide both playful and responsible care. Your pet will feel loved, safe, and well-cared for with me! I live alone, lost the last of my own critters, and am a seasonal traveler. I go to Argentina for a couple months every winter so I can’t responsibly own pets of my own, but I am built to be around them! I need animals in my life so this is as much for me as it is for you. I work remotely so I have a lot of flexibility especially when it comes to sitting or walking from my home or town. I can be very attentive to your animal to whatever fits their comfort level. I am very active so am I game for hikes, walks, and lots of playing, but can also enjoy a nice sit and snuggle with an elderly friend. About: I have taken care of animals for family and friends for a few years now and want to expanded into caring into looking after the pets if other family’s that want to travel but unfortunately cannot bring their animals with them. I currently work in a restaurant as a line cook and have 5-8 hour days starting as early as 2pm and ending as late as 10pm so I am able to mostly do morning care and late night care but I can adjust my schedule as needed for emergency’s. I am able to adapt to any type of care needed including daily training or cleanup if needed and love to take my own dogs on walks and just relax with them when they are tired.
About: Grief has allowed me bond with dogs. They are so loving and caring. My dogs get me through the day. They recognize when I’m having a rough day. Wake up, get outside. I always make sure my large dogs rest before and after eating. Do not want their stomachs to flip. Walk my dogs every day no matter the weather. The exercise and fresh air is great for all of us. About: Although I've never personally owned a dog, I have experience with pet sitting and walking dogs that belong to my freinds and family members. I work full-time Monday-Friday, however my work schedule is hybrid so it allows me to be flexible to cater to your needs! I am also free all day most Saturdays and Sundays. About: I’m a heavy hearted dog sitter with years of experience, having hosted plenty of dogs (and cats & reptiles) in the safety of my home with no problems whatsoever. I have light vet medical knowledge if you have a pup that needs the extra care. Frequent potty breaks, I like to take them outside about every hour for a tink or quick run. When the weather isn’t snow or rain they can get long walks by the water (if you approve), they always love it. I base my prices so low because I genuinely enjoy this. I am getting by & that’s all I need! Urgent emergencies or for plans ahead! I work from home for myself- I am here and available for the pets 24/7. I am my own boss and take plenty of food, potty, and walk breaks through out the day. It’s great for the dogs and myself!! And when I get back to it I still have the ability to stop what I’m doing at any given moment to give them all my attention and lovings. Being gentle, giving them comfort & space to know they are safe in this strange new place, let them explore and learn their surroundings, while making sure they get the attention/exercise that makes them have a fulfilling day, they are extremely easy to please & I love all of them!!

About: Hi! I’m Mary. I am a stay at home mom of 5 year old twins and a 12 year old shihtzu mix. I became a dog walker 5 days a week in September of 2024 by chance and realized how much I love it. I’ve been around animals my whole life, currently including my 8 chickens! If you’re looking for a dog walker, I walk in all weather. I can also just pop in and hang out for a bit and let them out for a potty, change litter boxes, feed, etc!
