About: When I was a little girl, I read the warrior cat series and fell in love with cats. I decided I had to have one. It took me over two years to convince my parents, but once I got my first (a five year that had been abandoned at the shelter on Christmas) I was hooked. I love every cat, not just my own. Eventually even the most aloof, unfriendly, feral old curmudgeon of a kitty has my respect. I will never force a cat that doesn't want to be bothered to give me attention. That said, I'm very good at doing towel burritos around them if they do need to get a nail trimming or insulin injection. I love to play with them and find new ways to give them enrichment. About: Aside from growing up caring for animals, I’ve worked at a dog daycare for about a year. During my time there I learned a lot about dog behavior and how to read their body language. Now, I am currently studying canine training and management at SUNY Cobleskill where I work with a variety of canine’s daily. About: Hello, I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 11 years old. From dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, you name it! I’ve trained many puppies and love everyone’s furry friends. Fun Fact my dog at home is scared of thunder, so I always sit in the bathtub with him until he’s ready to come out (photo included) I’ve also babysat and house sat for many years :) I have maximum 2 one hour classes a day with a 3 hour gap in between! So there will be plenty of time for me to take care of your furry friends!!! I live in a single room on campus with loads of space and two beds if the pets want to have a comfy space. Our daily routine naturally includes multiple walks along the scenic D&H Canal trail, which directly borders our property. Because our work keeps us at home, guest pets enjoy consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of playful companionship. Our home sits far back from the road at the end of a long driveway, offering a very quiet, safe environment. We sit on 10 acres of land, featuring 3 groomed acres for supervised play and 7 acres of private woods. While our yard is only partially fenced, we have two large, fully enclosed decks that are completely fenced in—perfect for safe sunbathing, lounging, and secure outdoor activities. We also utilize a collapsible fence that we can pull out and set up to create customized secure boundaries if necessary. For exercise, dogs are strictly supervised and kept on-leash as we head down the driveway to our private access point for the D&H Canal trail, keeping them completely away from traffic.

About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

I would take care of a super senior cat with the same dedication I would a golden retriever puppy. About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life, I have owned and cared for multiple breeds of dogs and cats, big and small, and been a pet sitter for friends and family on and off for the last 10 years. As a result of my experience as a pet parent and sitter I am very comfortable with most breeds. I also have limited experience training full grown dogs as well as puppies. I work from home full time as a software engineer, so I am available for walks as well as check-ins and house or pet sitting every day. I have a fenced in yard as well as a very friendly, calm and well behaved Cavapoo that will be happy to have a friend for the day if they are comfortable with other dogs. If they are not, It is not a problem to keep them separated.

About: I have had pets my whole life and hold animals dear to my heart! I LOVE spending time with them and making them happy. I have cared for dogs and cats for years and am very patient with them. I have a fenced in yard. I would prefer to avoid bringing clients pets into my home because I have 2 cats. But if the dog is friendly enough and has experience with cats I would consider it. My house is fairly big. It has a basement and attic, with 2 floors they’d have room to run and play. I have a medium sized yard so there would be room for them to run and play. “Chester was absolutely fabulous when we had him watch Rocco, our 100lb Catahoula Leopard Dog. My father passed way in a different state so we were trying to find someone to watch Rocco either in our home or theirs so we could attend services. He was a rescue a year ago and didn’t want to put him in a kennel or place where he would think he was being abandoned. After reading that Chester not only boards dogs in his home, but has a large property for long walks and a fenced in area for play, I felt confident contacting him. Chester was able to accommodate our last minute request and had a meet and greet that same day. Rocco met the other dog he was boarding at the time and being Rocco loves other dogs, he was excited to be there which made me feel even better. Having access to other rooms, I one this was the place for him. While away, Chester sent us pictures, videos, and a brief summary every day to let us know how Rocco was doing. We saw Rocco getting walks, playing with the other dogs, getting treats, playing with toys, and just relaxing. That put us at ease knowing Chester treated him like his own. I would definitely recommend Chester and we will definitely have Rocco there again one day.”
