About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I rescued my first dog from the local humane society when I was 11, and that experience started a lifelong passion for caring for animals. Before becoming a nurse, I worked as a veterinary assistant for two local animal hospitals where I gained valuable hands-on experience with animal care and handling. I developed skills in basic training, puppy socialization, reading animal body language, medication administration, subcutaneous fluids, nail trimming, grooming, and bathing. I also volunteered for several years with a local dog rescue as a foster, helping provide temporary homes, structure, and love for dogs before their adoptions. Many needed socialization, basic training, and a calm environment to help them thrive. I later served as the rescue’s foster and event coordinator until 2020. Today I share my home with three of my own beloved dogs. In my free time I enjoy traveling, camping, hiking with my dogs, training with our Belgian Malinois, and watching my daughter ride her horse. About: Growing up with 6 dogs in our home at once, I have a special connection and love for animals. Working with rescues, pure breed dogs, females in heat and knowing how to whelp, has given me plenty of experience. I have been boarding dogs in my home for over 7 years. I am home full time, with the occasional errand to run. There is a place to hike, with great trails, right up the road from my home. I have a fenced in yard where dogs can run, play and hangout in the sun. I live on 9 acers, for us to explore and go for walks. I have dogs of my own, so your dog will have plenty of socialization and play time. Raw food diet or special dietary issues are not a problem. Meet and greet is required for all potential stays.

We have a nice yard and some great local parks/ trails If the need more exercise. I have an unfenced yard but will keep pups on leash and safe. I do have a two year old cat named Oyni- ideally the dog and cat get along but my in laws love hanging with him so we could have him go there if they don’t. (He is great with dogs)
About: I’ve been doing pet sitting and dog walking for over five years now, and I have become the top caregiver in the area. I’m a huge animal lover who really enjoys spending time with animals. I will work from your home during the week. I can be out for four hours at a time on occasion for meetings. I am available within ten miles of Poughkeepsie. Kingston and Newburgh are out of my range. I follow directions to a tee when providing in home sittings, and I ensure a nice clean home upon your return. I also do my best to encourage pets to keep their minds in a calm state.
About: I have had and taken care of pets for as long as I can remember. I am a part time groomer as well so I enjoy maintaining a certain level of care for any dogs that I am around. “I cannot recommend Stephen enough. He took amazing care of our Buddy while we were away. He communicated and sent us videos and updates every day. He was cautious when introducing Buddy to the other dogs in his care and we had a meet and greet prior to the stay which I appreciate, he goes above and beyond to make sure the dogs in his care are compatible to keep all dogs safe. I look forward to using him in the future and I know Buddy will too. You can see that dogs in Stephens care are treated as his own and that is so comforting when leaving your dog in his care.”

“Maggie is AMAZING. as a first time Rover user i was nervous and skeptical as i’m sure most pet parents may be before their first booking. my husband and i had a trip planned upstate and found ourselves without a sitter at the last minute. we figured it’d be better to leave our pup with a stranger nearby vs back home 3+ hours away. after searching for a while we found maggie and trusted all her great reviews. we absolutely made the right choice. she was so reassuring and communicative the whole time, asked for more detail with his care instructions than not, and has a big fenced in yard that her visiting pups can safely play in. she sent photos and videos the whole weekend and made my pup so comfortable that he didn’t go on hunger strike like he usually does when we leave him with friends or family. he even felt comfy enough to cuddle with her, which says a lot of her handling of animals. they just trust her. if you’re having doubts i hope this review gives you some confidence. we’ll be booking maggie again when we’re in the area for sure.”
