One of our Persians, Sweetie, was especially close to me. She passed away a few years ago, and losing her truly broke my heart—she was with me for so long and gave me so many wonderful memories. I also spend a lot of time with my family’s dogs—a brown Labrador, a German Shorthaired Pointer, and a pair of Boston Terriers—and I always make sure to play with them whenever we’re together. About: I started walking my next door neighbor’s Boston Terrier when I was around 10. She knew I was an animal lover, and even let me experiment with some training with her pup. This led to me getting into agility training and just general dog training, which I have started to pick back up again. I am known as the family dog sitter, as my family has a combination of Pit Bulls, Bernedoodles, and hunting breeds, so I’ve worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes and stubbornness! Aside from dogs, I grew up volunteering at shelters where I adopted my own cat when I was 15, and eventually even landed a job as a zookeeper! About: A little bit about me, I am going on to my second year at MCC and after plan on joining the Air Force! I currently have a part time job at a restaurant but have gotten the unfortunate news that they will be shutting down my store so I am looking to have this as a part time job for now then hopefully transition it into a full time job. I have been taking care of animals since my early teenage years starting off with a close family friend and her 2 poodle mix’s. They would be dropped off at my house around 9:00 am and then get pick up at 6:00pm. I have bathed, cleaned, and even trained some dogs (simple commands). In addition, I have also taken care of multiple furry felines and have had many cats of my own so I am also quite familiar with their needs as well. I am wanting to soon be Pet CPR and First Aid Certified. I have always been interested in pet-care I just didn’t know how to go about it until I found out about rover! I will be putting all my focus on pet-care as my full time job. Since I am just starting out I will only have weekday availability 11-9 and will only offer drop in’s and walk services Monday-Friday and house sitting Tuesday-Thursday.
