“I am one of those overindulgent pet owners. I usually only leave My King Charles cavalier, Fynn, with family or dear friends. A last minute opportunity over Easter weekend found me scrambling for dog care. An acquaintance mentioned Rover.com, a site and service I was unfamiliar with. After searching the site and reading the reviews I had four options close to my home. I call it a gut feeling because I was drawn to Melissa in spite of the fact she had no reviews posted. Melissa responded quickly . She explained she had two small dogs and would like to introduce the dogs first to see if this would work. It was as if she read my mind… Melissa was available later that day and we agreed to take the dogs to the park. Meeting in person, letting the dogs get to know each other immediately put my mind at ease . When I brought Fynn to Melissa to watch for the weekend, she introduced me to her family, her home and where the dogs would play. Once on the road Melissa continued to put me at ease by sending pictures and updates as to how the dogs were faring. Fynn came home happy, well cared for and missing his new buddies. “Erika saved the day when she so graciously accepted a last minute booking for my cat and kittens I rescued who recently had spay/neuter surgery. My mom lives 7-8 hours away and was in a bad car accident. It was too soon to leave the kittens overnight with drop-ins. Erika came and stayed with them for two nights so I could be with my mom. She was super kind and put me right at ease. She kept me updated and as hard as it is to believe I didn’t worry about them at all. She even set food out for a family of community cats who have mostly moved in on my back porch. I’d hire her again without any reservations. A bonus, the house was all tidied up when I got home from my long trip.”

They spend the day with me around the house where they play with each other and where I play games with them. They go on 2-3 walks per day (if the owners allow me to take them for walks) and get plenty of exercise throughout the day. They're fed their dinner between 6pm and 7pm, get their last potty break at about 9pm and then we are done for the day!

I was nervous about disrupting her life yet again by boarding her in addition to exposing her to Jeff's resident dog. Jeff assured me she would be ok and that his dog was very well trained / calming. She has two good sized good natured dogs that kept him busy the entire time we were gone. I highly recommend her if you have a good natured medium sized dog they likes companionship & playtime. My Louie is about 90 lbs just so you have an idea of what I mean by good sized dog. We will absolutely use them again ?”
