“Our two very busy dogs recently spent four nights in the care of Jennifer and her whole family while we were spending the Thanksgiving holiday at a nearby Airbnb that did not allow dogs. It could not have gone any better. The dogs were warmly welcomed and got lots of attention. It felt like we were dropping them off at summer camp. They even got to try herding goats for the first time! Both of Jennifer’s dogs seemed to do very well with ours. We got plenty of updates throughout the visit. We hope to be able to bring our dogs to Jennifer again next year.”

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of dogs since I was a young child. Neighbors, family and friends have all asked me to pet sit! I now have a 2 year old rescue name Genny! She is very sweet, a big girl at 95lbs but extremely submissive in all situations! She would love a play mate and extra walks! Work from home M-F. On my lunch we always take a walk usually about 2 miles and Genny get plenty of potty breaks and outdoors time! About: Albeit having no years of 'professional' caring, I have been a dog and cat mom all of my life. Since I was born my family has had 2-3 dogs and 5-6 cats at a time on our farm, and I raised, trained and took care of all of them myself since my parents were not too big on animals. The sole reason we had so many is because we lived on a farm and I adored them. Every year of my life I have cared for at least one animal or another, ever since I was in grade school. For cats and dogs alike, I myself used to bathe them, feed them, groom them and take them to the vet if they were sick. As of right now, I have no animals to look after, so I would love to put those skills to good use. This being said, I have ample experience with animals, and I adore them. I have babysat animals for my friends several times, always without incident. I understand their signs and needs, have plenty of patience and can be gentle but firm when needed. I treat them as if they were my own children. I am also a trained emergency service medical provider, so I know how to perform first aid and lifesaving measures if need be (not that it will ever be needed, don't worry!). I am flexible with the services I provide: if your pet has any special needs/medications that they need to take/any sicknesses, or anything else, inform me and I will be happy to babysit for them and care for them for as long as you need! Some of the services I can provide include but are not limited to: bathing, walking, training, and cuddling! I will treat your babies with love and kindness while you're away! Rest assured, they will be in good, trained hands. I currently work from home, and would have no problem going on walks or playing games such as fetch to tire out high energy dogs! I already have a daily routine with my own dog, which consists of taking him on regular potty breaks, brushing his teeth, and playing games to tire him out if its too cold to go on walks outside! We have a yard thats not fenced in, but have lines and long leashes to take your fur baby outside! There is one senior dog, one younger dog, and to cats all to give company to your pet! Both dogs are very friendly, and the cats mostly keep to themselves in the room. The dogs will always be in my sight, so that we can hang out, play, and I can tend to their needs! I only work 2-3 days a week and even on the days I do work I have most of the day free. My schedule allows me to be home when most people are working and need their pets to be checked on! About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

About: I have had my own pets since I was 18yrs old. Large ones, small one all different personalities. For some reason animals love me as much as I love them. I enjoy forming that bond with them. I will treat your animals as if they are my own. I will respect you home as I expect mine too be treated. I used Rover in my home before I decided I wanted to take care of others animals. I expected no one to touch anything of mine unless it pertained to the animals. I currently work a fairly flexible job so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I have two of my own dogs so house sitting needs to be flexible I have a fairly large sized yard that your pups can run in. My two fur babies are very friendly and will gladly keep your pups company

My Boxer has separation anxiety so bad she got severe colitis last time I had to travel, so I knew a kennel setting would not be good for her. Getting pictures of the dogs completely relaxed and comfortable put my fears at rest almost immediately! Katie took excellent care of the dogs and took care on my worries as well!
