She she said couldn’t do the overnight, I let it go, then she said that she couldn’t stay the whole day with my cat, she will be in and out all day, I let it go. I paid her a premium to house sit, what could I do? I had an auto accident and didn’t feel well so I let it go again. My cat will cry if she is left alone, I have a very elderly and frail husband that was at home and kept my cat company otherwise I would cancelled my trip and stayed at home. If I hire someone to house sit it’s at one price, to come in and out the whole day it’s at another price. In the future I will not repeat this kind of arrangement again.”

I am a quick learner if there is something special you need me to do for your pet. I can help most while my big is at school, but I can flex if you need a specific time. He's a border collie (though he's slowed down in his old age) that needs his daily walks and play time. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets with someone. You need to be able to trust them and I promise to take care of your dog with as much love and care as I take care of my own. I have 4 cats, so you pup MUST be good with cats. I work from home everyday so I am able to take care of potty breaks as needed and provide attention and playtime throughout the day. Building trust with an animal is etremely important. I am careful to keep an eye on body language so that I know when an animal wants more or less attention, needs to go for a walk, or needs to play. My own dog has been trained to walk on a loose leash by my side and does not pull. I've had plenty of experience walking shelter dogs who had no training though, so I can handle quite a bit. I regularly interact with my cats depending upon what type of interaction they want. I have two cats who love to play with toys on strings, and two other cats who prefer to be showered with pets. I am a believer that if you pay attention the animal will let you know what it's boundaries are.

About: I have been walking dogs for over 10 years as neighbors had me walk their dogs when I was young. I house and dog sit for my family. I volunteered with a rescue for two years and currently foster for a rescue that I’ve been with for about 4-5 years. I work 8-5 every weekday. I’m good at giving animals space when i know they’re scared or nervous and really make sure I earn an animals trust. I have a beautiful 2 year old baby girl. There is a chance she would be with me for walks and drop ins depending on what day of the week it is. I’m home by 5pm every day and leave between 8/9am depending on if I have my daughter or if she’s with her dad. I have a pup of my own we live in an apartment but we go on daily walks. We like using a harness over just a collar because we don’t want to risk him slipping out of it.

Rochester weather can be unpredictable! For the safety of your pet, I may shorten walks during extreme heat (90+) or dangerous wind chills.
