She she said couldn’t do the overnight, I let it go, then she said that she couldn’t stay the whole day with my cat, she will be in and out all day, I let it go. I paid her a premium to house sit, what could I do? I had an auto accident and didn’t feel well so I let it go again. My cat will cry if she is left alone, I have a very elderly and frail husband that was at home and kept my cat company otherwise I would cancelled my trip and stayed at home. If I hire someone to house sit it’s at one price, to come in and out the whole day it’s at another price. In the future I will not repeat this kind of arrangement again.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats ever since I was 17-18 years old. I have watched friends cats and I have watched family’s dogs. I am a quick learner if there is something special you need me to do for your pet. While I have not babysat dogs that often, I am very good with them and have taken care of them before I am currently unemployed so I have plenty of time to walk, play with and take care of your furry little friends/family. I am also highly mindful of the weather, ensuring paws are protected from hot pavement and that pups stay hydrated. Home Security: When entering and exiting your home, I use extra caution to prevent "door dashing." I treat your home with the same respect and care I give my own. After our visit or walk, i take a moment to send you a detailed "Report Card." You'll get a summary of our route, their behavior, and-of course- at least 2-3 great action shots from our time together. I treat every schedule with the same reliability I'd want for my own pets. Rochester weather can be unpredictable! For the safety of your pet, I may shorten walks during extreme heat (90+) or dangerous wind chills. About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I was responsible for walking the family dog when I was younger, volunteered at a shelter walking dogs every Saturday morning for 5 years, and have owned a dog myself for the last 20 years. My current dog, Bruce, and I are a registered therapy dog team, which required a lot of training and building of trust between us. He's a border collie (though he's slowed down in his old age) that needs his daily walks and play time. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets with someone. You need to be able to trust them and I promise to take care of your dog with as much love and care as I take care of my own. I have 4 cats, so you pup MUST be good with cats. I work from home everyday so I am able to take care of potty breaks as needed and provide attention and playtime throughout the day. Building trust with an animal is etremely important. I am careful to keep an eye on body language so that I know when an animal wants more or less attention, needs to go for a walk, or needs to play. My own dog has been trained to walk on a loose leash by my side and does not pull. I've had plenty of experience walking shelter dogs who had no training though, so I can handle quite a bit. I regularly interact with my cats depending upon what type of interaction they want. I have two cats who love to play with toys on strings, and two other cats who prefer to be showered with pets. I am a believer that if you pay attention the animal will let you know what it's boundaries are.
