During the weekend he stayed at our place, our cat felt comfortable and well cared for. John was very responsive with messages and adapted perfectly to our cat’s routine: she likes to go outside for a couple of minutes to feel the cold and get some fresh air, then come back in for treats. About: I love all animals big and small! I have a variety of experience. I grew up taking care of a Rottweiler and currently have a pit and two cats. I have worked in the past and consistently cared for a deaf and diabetic dog to include administering insulin. I have volunteered at shelters, fostered numerous dogs to include a deaf dog with seizures, interned at a wildlife rehab center for a year, and worked at the Philadelphia Zoo taking care of the goats yard. I worked for 3 years at VIP pet care holding the animals, administering shots , microchips, blood draws and supervising the clinics. I love hiking and anything outdoors so walking your pup would be great for both your pup and myself! 🙂 I’m currently working full time and another part time job so am currently only offering walking services to work around my busy schedule. My schedule varies each week. I have a fenced in yard with one dog and two cats. At this time I am only offering walking services and may consider in home care in the future.

About: *Please read through and understand my policies before booking - your pets well-being is what is most important to me! I have taken care of various pets since I was a kid. I have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, fish, and bearded dragons! I have always been the family/friend go-to for help with animals whether it is walking dogs, house-sitting, ect. I am a huge animal advocate and a Humane Policy Leader Volunteer with the ASPCA. Throughout high school and college, I looked for opportunities to help animals at an individual level (doing some rescue work, rehab work, fundraising, ect.), and it has greatly improved my knowledge about providing care for animals of various needs. I take the health and safety of animals very seriously, and will treat yours as my own. If you book a 24 hour+ period with me as your pet’s only caregiver, I require a minimum of 3 visits daily and will not allow your dog to be alone for more than 12 hours. With cats and other small animals there is flexibility with the amount of drop-ins. I also typically only do last minute bookings for clients I’ve worked with previously because they know my standards and I know their pet’s needs - this helps ensure that the client is comfortable with my care, the pet is comfortable with my care, and I am comfortable providing my services. I am available everyday for pet care and at various times. All scheduling details can be discussed further at a meet and greet to ensure you feel comfortable with the care your pet will be receiving :) I have special experience with diabetic animals, deaf animals, and animals with health/behavior needs. So that I am able to best take care of your pet, please let me know if there is anything I should know about your pet so that I can be prepared to give them the proper care. I would also ask that a meet and greet is set up prior to future visits so that we can ensure your pets comfortability with me while you are away! I will ensure during visits to send pictures of your pet to you and provide a summary of the visit to put your mind at ease, and of course text me on Rover at any point with any concerns or needs. As a fellow animal parent, I understand we experience some separation anxiety from our pets!

My skills include basic training, basic grooming, administering preventatives and medication (including insulin), providing effective and safe restraint, and I have taken multiple educational courses on animal welfare, behavior, and stress-free approach to handling. I work full time, but only mid day so I am more than capable of doing morning and afternoon visits as well as mid day on the weekends. I take care of animals the same way I would want to be cared for: with patience, kindness and love but above all safely. Working at a veterinary clinic I have learned a great amount about safe animal care (including with reactive animals).
