About: Hi my name is Samantha, I have a home I share with my toddler son and we have 1 pup. We have our 10yr old small spaniel mix, Daisy, that I’ve adopted from Texas. She gets along well with other dogs & loves to play. It was apparent that she never experienced her puppy days before our family took her in. I've had her for 8yrs now and she has become so comfortable and happy in her forever home with us and is very active. She loves to go out on walks and is an even better snuggler. I have had animals my entire life so I love to play, walk and go for runs with them. They have free-roam of the house and the fenced in back yard, and I'm ok with them on my furniture. My dog loves to walk when we can get out, but if not, she loves playing outside before I leave for work and as soon as I get home she runs the back yard. I work during the day M-F, however I work from home 2 days/week. I typically spend my nights home. I am in the military reserves so 1 weekend a month I am away from my home and try not to accept sitting during those long days. I would like more company for my dog as we recently lost her older fur-sister, this has been a transition for us all losing our sweet girl. I have plenty of toys and treats, and I ensure dogs always have free roam of our space. I would just ask that I'm made aware of any restrictions, allergies, behavior issues, etc. ahead of time. I will make sure your dog has the best service and attention in my home and will keep you up to date with their activities by texting pictures and video's through out their stay if you ever wanted! I work M-F, mix-matched teleworking days (flexible). I get up in the morning to let my dog play in the back yard, then she eats before I leave for work. We like to play in the back yard every 1-3hrs and we take breaks frequently so there would be some indoor and outdoor exposure for daily play (weather pending). My yard is fully enclosed so I like to bring my dog out with me to play, sniff, lounge and anything else. I have an outside pool that is for dogs so they can get water, play in it or lay down to cool off whenever they’d like. I have a fenced yard and a friendly fur baby to play with. I also have 2 crates available as needed if it’s a preference of yours. In your home, I can follow any instructions left to make sure your fur-baby feels as comfortable as possible at home in their space without you there.

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.
