About: Up until around age 10, we had multiple cats in our home of all types and ages. One distinct example was an elderly cat named Socks who we adopted after her owner passed. Socks only liked the presence of my mom at the time but it was a great learning experience regarding the boundaries of certain animals and understanding that they are all worthy of love even if they might not show that love back right away! I now have had a small Tortishell cat named Nyx since 2022 and often cat sit for our friend who has a large formerly outdoor cat of which breed she is not entirely sure.

About: I have taken care of small and large breeds of dogs since the young age of seven. As soon as I was able to as an adult I rescued a dog and a cat because no home is complete without the pitter-patter of furry feet. My pets are more than pets, they're family, and yours will be treated just the same when they're in my care. I have a beagle/poodle mix that is two years old that loves to have friends to play with. He sleeps in the bed, but if you prefer your doggie to be crated I can do that too. I love dogs unconditionally, but I am not afraid to show a little tough love when needed. While I am working, your dog can settle on the couch or one of the many dog beds, or relax and play with my dogs (a Golden Retriever and a Foxhound). If your dog likes the crate, I have an extra for them. When I run errands, your dog will be crated or gated in a separate room from my dogs for safety. I live on 4 acres next and next to a cemetery, so I can take your dog for relaxing walks in a peaceful environment.

“We could not have asked for a better first experience with using Rover for finding a dog sitter. Our dog Bailey was much more relaxed in a home setting than in the large kennel she had stayed at previously. Ema sent us multiple photos daily of Bailey taking long walks, playing with her own dogs, cuddles with her kids, and exhausted from all the fun. “Oreo takes daily pills and has fecal incontinence in her old age, so she can definitely be a handful. Per Amy, Oreo exhibited some very atypical behavior during her stay -- overnight pee accidents in her dog bed, which she hasn't done since puppyhood or with any other carer. We sent diapers to Amy's house mid-stay to attempt to mitigate the issue. I think Amy did her best with our elderly lady, and I'm not sure what would cause this. Oreo drank a ton of water as soon as she got back home, but hasn't had any pee accidents.”
