I worked at a doggy daycare for 2 years and as a pet groomer for under 1 year, and I also earned my Dog Training Certification through Animal Behavior College. About: I have had pets most of my life. I quit my job and started a non-profit, St. Lewis Foundation, which didnt work out, so all the animals in my care became my pets. They were mostly senior and unwanted animals, which is where my heart is. I am unemployed right now, looking for remote work . So I am home all day. I have 3 senior cats that sleep up high most of the day, so your pup needs to be okay with cats. All pups sleep with me in my king size bed (if they want to). Central AC (I like it cool) and heating. I have many balls and treats (if allowed) and would love to throw the ball a bit. Back yard is not huge but sufficient. About: Animals and nature have been my greatest passion for as long as I can remember. I’ve been exposed to, and well acquainted to a variety of animals, including fish, rodents, reptiles, dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and even a baby squirrel rescue! I have a very flexible and adaptable schedule and I am open to what works best for you and your pets needs. I am with my dogs all day everyday. They get all of my love and attention. I constantly monitor for potential hazards and act accordingly in order to limit any risks. Cleanliness and order is my main priority as I value a clean and tidy home. I have fresh water out all day and I feed them twice a day. My dogs get a specialized high end kibble which I supplement with fresh meat, organ, eggs, fruits, veggies, goats milk, coconut oil, bone broth, salmon oil, turmeric and a daily vitamin. I wash my dogs as needed or every two weeks. I brush their teeth, fur, and clip their nails weekly as well. I only have high quality chew bones and other toys available that don’t pose a risk as my dogs are heavy chewers.
About: I’ve been pet sitting alone for about 8 years now! Friends, neighbors, and other folks have relied on me to feed and walk their pets as well as house sit. I’ve worked with cats, dogs, almost all domestic farm species, amphibians, reptiles, and fish. I’ve just graduated UVM with an Animal Science degree, where I’ve taken helpful classes such as Intro To Exotic Pet Care class and Canine Behavior where I trained local shelter dogs. The outdoors are so beautiful and even more lovely when you get to share them with a pet. Early morning walks are my personal favorite. Pet visits also work well in my schedule. I don't mind stopping by to let a pet out, feed, clean, and provide enrichment. I love reading and am happy to hang out with pets outside while I do so. Clear communication and meeting the needs of the client are the most important pieces to pet care to me. I like to take notes about expectations and routines, such as feeding or play time, that way I can provide pets with the most consistency and familiarity I can. I like to update folks about their pets by sending photos and messages. And I keep my phone nearby with notifications on throughout my time so that I am available if folks have any questions, concerns, or are just missing their pet and would like a picture!

Each animal is treated like they’re at home, with the option to have their own food and treats, as well as those I provide. Pets are allowed on the couch and can roam freely throughout the house. We do have a designated space for one of my pets due to her tendency to cause destruction if not monitored, but this decision is ultimately based on the needs of each individual pet.
