“Bee was great. Was able to get my pups in on short notice. My one dog has fear aggression with some people but was OK for Bee and even warmed up to her. She answered right away when I texted to check in on them. My dogs seemed happy and comfortable when I went to pick them up! Would certainly use her again for future trips if needed.”

“This was my first time leaving my dog with a sitter and I chose them based on their description, reviews and repeat customers on Rover. I was impressed with Steve’s responsiveness and methodical approach at our meet and greet. My dog Portia was immediately comfortable there and returned happy and tired from her stay. I recommend this service and would use them again.”

About: Hi! My name is Julia and i'm 33 years old. I have 2 little boys that are homeschooled. I've been taking care of all sorts of animals since I was a little girl! I have always had a nurturing personality and loved making sure they always had a clean environment and were always cared for. I've always groomed my own pets and I can also give any medications or shots they may need for medical conditions. I'd love to take your dog for a walk or play some fetch in the yard! I'll make sure they feel loved and cared for while you're away. I'm a stay at home mom of 2 little boys! My schedule is pretty flexible as my husband works from home and can take over being with the boys while I tend to your pets. I can play with your pet in your yard or take them for walks! I can crate them as well if needed. I can give food and water, clean litter boxes, and pick up after the dog. If your dog is staying in my home, my cats will be kept seperate from them so there is no issues or worries :)
“Charlene was excellent! Nice safe yard out in the country air. Our Lola felt right at home upon arrival. Charlene provided photos and updates of Lola each day. I'll definitely book her again when needed. Thanks C. & R.!”

“Kathryn and Jared were great with our female pittie with her 11 day stay. Their dogs welcomed her, and they had a great time just by looking at the pictures they sent. We will definitely use them the next time we go on vacation.”

“Dana was wonderful! She took great care of Scooch! She took him on many walks throughout his stay and they had a lot of outside time to enjoy the nice weather. She sent pictures and videos which reassured me that he was happy. Thank you Dana we will definitely be booking with you again !”
“During the introduction meeting Carolina and her family were all so welcoming and kind and Carolina was obviously on point professionally so I was completely comfortable with leaving Onyx with them. The appointment went very smoothly and I highly recommend her to anyone needing a dog-sitter.”

“We were extremely pleased with the care and attention that Michelle gave to our dog Dixie. She took great care of our dog and when we came to pick her up, I think Dixie would have been happy to stay longer. The house, the accommodations and the caretaker were perfect for our dog and she was very relaxed when we came to pick her up. Michelle was a very good "fit" for us and Dixie. We definitely would use Michelle again.”

“I was really nervous leaving my love Leo with a pet sitter, but after our meet and greet with Mary I was much more comfortable. Mary sent us multiple pictures and videos every day which made it much easier to leave him. Leo had so much fun at camp and made new friends, I will definitely be using Mary again in the future!!”

“Lorinda was so sweet and great with Flora. She sent plenty of pictures and her home seemed like a fun place with lots of space for the dogs to run around. If I'm back upstate for family stuff I'd love to have Flora stay with her again!”

“Emily was fantastic with our dog, Noodle! We were only in town for the weekend for the wedding, but if I am ever in the area again, I would book with Emily again in a heartbeat! Our dog can be super shy around new people, and Emily made her feel at home right away! She sent pictures and videos which put my mind at ease that Noodle was settling in perfectly! She was extremely responsive and so caring for our fur baby! Cannot recommend Emily enough!”

About: For nearly 20years I’ve been caring for animals of all types. I have experience with Dogs, Cats, Rodents, Reptiles, and just about everything in between. Family, Friends, Neighbors, Co-Workers and Clients have relied on me to care for their furry family members & I’ve had furry family members of my own my whole life. I have worked with all ages and sizes, and am comfortable with pets with disabilities or medical needs. For the past 16years I’ve cared for people with disabilities as a Direct Support Professional. I am currently doing that as a part-time night shift, so I am available most days and eves, during the week and on weekends! I have loved many forms of my own pets and understand the importance of safety and trust that comes with caring for another’s loved one. I currently plan to do pet walking, play dates, and sitting in your home. May consider overnight stays. May consider boarding on case by case basis. Always open for requests, and again, will consider on a case by case basis.

About: All the animals we have in this world deserve the love and care I am more than excited to provide. Your pet will be in the best hands of this animal whisperer. Since the age I could start walking, I’ve loved animals as my family and have always loved to be around them. I can help keep your babies on their schedules so you can stick to yours too. There is plenty of time for me to get out and about with your faithful companion. I will be able to give them long walks and plenty of time to play. In your home, I can play with your dog with their toys and if you have a yard, we can play fetch and lay out in the sun. Here at my home, you can be assured that I will love them just the same, if not more and keep them on their schedules.

“We’ve always had great experiences using Rover however, Luann went above and beyond anything we could ever imagine. Luann shared pictures of our dog on daily walks, car rides and other doggy adventures throughout the day. Luann is a true pack leader.”

“We were so thankful that Kellyanne was available for us last minute, especially since our boy Odin had recently been dealing with a leg injury. She was so accommodating and made sure we were comfortable, as it was also our first time boarding him. Would definitely recommend Kellyanne!”

About: I am just starting to my fourth career, playing with your companion. I recently retired from teaching sustainable development at UAlbany. I now spend my days outside with hairy friend Herman. I picked up my first stray, Bandit, at 9. I have had a at least one dog since then, I am now 63. All from shelters or strays. I also did doggie foster care too. Known to be gentle and friend of the furry ones. I start each day with a morning meander across the 25 acres on a dead end road. Your companion will be well exercised, loved and cared for as long as they get along with my 14 year old hairy friend Herman, who lets cats eat from his dishes. He runs the place when it comes to house rules. He does not have viscous bone in his body. After three careers and global travel I am recently retired. My days are spent gardening, walking, sitting on the porch, listening to music, etc. I am rarely gone more than a few hours as Herman, my four legged friend, needs special care at 14 years old. I am typically up before dawn, no dog or alarm necessary. My day typically begins with me waking predawn and greeting the new day with my hound Herman on the 25 acres we cohabitate. Most is abandoned agriculture returning to forest for 35 plus years that is bisected by a small babbling brook. Breakfast is then served before returning outside. In climate weather I am outside more than 70% of my day outside. At 14 he chooses to stay in sometimes. Your companion will be free to make their own choice too. My life ambition is to nurture life. I have cared for pets since I was born as my family had cats. There is a fenced area that includes four shaded area. There will be plenty of water, including a baby pool for play as well as sprinklers. This area is shares two fences lines with my garden, has direct access to a walk out basement, and is fully visible from my porch. The dogs will have near 24/7 personal attention and care. I live sustainably. There are no chemicals in my lawn or garden. I have an enclosed porch that in the summer is open air, but no steps to escape. Only with your permission would I walk a guest off leash. Before walking them off leash I will need feel 100% confident they respond to command when other distractions are present. Again with your permission I would take your friend to a fenced in dog park visit as a trial run. Herman, my housemate, is a happy healthy 14 year old he is my best reference. He also has final word on all guest of all species. About an 1/2 acre is fenced with direct access from the house through the basement door. It includes shaded doggie lounges, a baby pool in the summer, toys galore, and lots of attention as the space is adjacent to my garden and the covered porch. It has the capacity to be divided if unruly dog needs to be isolated or there are little ones that just need time away from the bigger ones. Indoors, dogs are free to roam in the basement and first floor. If they are cage trained I can accommodate that. The two beds are off limits. To prevent misunderstanding with bed loving dogs I will keep my guest room. Both the porch and the living room couches are fine. Little ones may use chairs too. The house is really set up for Herman’s comfort and safety. The 32x10 covered front porch is a favorite of Herman and all his visiting friends. Your hairy friend will be delighted by this feature too. One more thing, the hardwood floors are currently covered in rubber “yoga mats” as Herman can not cope with slippery floors. There are also many large dog beds that Herman is happy to share. Opps, where are our manners; welcome to our slice of Paradise!😊

“Melanie is wonderful! Very attentive to our cats and goes above and beyond to care for them, including our diabetic cat who can be fidgety. Would absolutely recommend Melanie!”

“Colleen was very responsive to all messages and came out very early to keep my cats on their regular feeding schedule. They all have very specific food needs and she did a good job ensuring that they were receiving the right food and mixing in enough water. She left good feedback as well to make sure their eating habits were in line with normal. She also was able to get close enough to our shyest cat to send a photo at every visit.”

“Carissa is the best of the best!! She treated our two cats like they were her own while we were away. Her communication was great and we came home to a clean house and two well cared for babies. Highly recommend!!”

About: I've owned 3 cats for 8 years now. I've gained a huge love for cats after finding my 7 year old male cat, Abraham, in a storm back in 2019 and had to get him back to good health as he was very sick. He's been the best addition to our family since!
“Grace is so caring and listened to my specific recommendations for Baxter which made me really happy. She Always shared photos and kept me updated on both visits. I will definitely call her again❤️🙏”

“I can't say enough good things about Johnna. This was my first time having Johnna pet sit for my dog and three casts. She sent me several pictures of the pets and wrote informative reviews of how they were doing. Johnna walked Flossy, my dog each day. She was meticulous in terms of picking up after the animals. When I returned I found the house in order. Johnna is pleasant to work with. I highly recommend her.”

“DelilahaLynn Was absolutely wonderful. She took care of my elderly cat and sent me wonderful pictures of him. Our trip ended up being extended, and she absolutely had no problem with taking care of him for a few more days. I will absolutely book her again when I go on my next trip. I believe you can trust your fur babies in her care.”

Working part time allows me to have more time to play with your dogs. I am able to spend time with your pups on Mondays and Wednesdays anytime 12pm or after. “Kathryn was great. This was the first time leaving our pittie with a stranger, and we were very pleased with the way everything was handled. Kathryn met our expectations, and we look forward to working with her in the near future.”

“They welcomed both my dogs with open arms. One is a dog that is a little stand off-ish with new people and places but they were patient with him. And the other is a young puppy and they did not have an issue with the "puppy behaviors". I worked a very long day and I was so happy to have them be able to watch them. The dogs were nice and tired when I picked them up and they even got some nice goodies.”

About: I have had pets most of my life. I quit my job and started a non-profit, St. Lewis Foundation, which didnt work out, so all the animals in my care became my pets. They were mostly senior and unwanted animals, which is where my heart is. I am unemployed right now, looking for remote work . So I am home all day. I have the time to let your pup out as many times as he/she wants. If they are a little dog I will be right by their side. I am up 6a - 9p. I have 3 senior cats that sleep up high most of the day, so your pup needs to be okay with cats. All pups sleep with me in my king size bed (if they want to). I have a dog bed next to me in my office or a couch in front of a large front window. I have locked screen security doors in case your pup likes to sniff the air. Central AC (I like it cool) and heating. I have many balls and treats (if allowed) and would love to throw the ball a bit. Back yard is not huge but sufficient. All my dogs have passed and I am missing a dog so much but cant commit right now. So let me love on your pup!
“This was my dog's first time with a Rover sitter. Lorinda did her best to get him settled. She understood he was not wanting to be social. She got her chair and stayed by him while he was in her fenced area. Couldn't ask for more.”

About: I have had two cats all of my life, while also pet sitting my friends’ dogs when they went out of town. I am very familiar with both cats and dogs and I am happy to hang out with your pet when you cannot be there for them. I am taking a gap year from school so my schedule is fairly flexible.

“Elizabeth was great! Organized and responsive! She and her family truly let Coach be a part of theirs! In fact, when my dog’s stuffy lost an arm, she sewed it back on for him. Updated were helpful. Coach came back a happy pup!!”
