“Roscoe is a rescue dog that we adopted in May this year. We were very concerned to be leaving for a vacation just 2 months later. He is such a great dog & we didn't want for him to think we were abandoning him. As soon as we met Sherri we were sure we had an answer to our prayers. We could not have found a better place for Roscoe to be. He had a wonderful week at Sherri's. We received many updates & pictures on how he was doing & never for a minute worried about him because it was obvious how much fun he was having. We enjoyed our vacation guilt free because we knew Roscoe was getting as much love & attention as we give him. About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I can handle the most challenging of dogs down to little babies and everything in between. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention when I'm around! I give all dogs the same love and affection I would give my own dog and see the importance of cuddle and buddy time along with good exercise. I show confidence when I'm with a dog so that they know there is trust with me from the beginning. I currently work part time, so have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby. I am always available after 3:00 p.m. during the week, before 8:00 a.m. or anytime on the weekends. I've got a very pet friendly home. I live in a single story, ranch house that has a fully fenced back yard. I do not have children at home that we would need to worry about and I'm very respectful if needed to go into a client's home. About: Hi there! I’ve been dedicated to working with animals since I was 16, earning my Veterinary Technician license while in high school in Texas. Over the years, my deep interest in canine behavior led me to manage dog daycares and boarding facilities, as well as shadow experienced dog trainers. When I’m not caring for pets, you can usually find me immersed in my favorite hobby-handling and competing with dogs in conformation shows! With my veterinary background, I bring both clinical confidence and behavioral understanding to every visit. I am completely comfortable administering oral or injectable medications, following precise routines, and managing special needs. Having personally cared for an epileptic dog, I am well-versed in seizure protocols and know how to keep pups calm, safe, and supported. I work full-time during the week but am available to care for your dog from Saturday through Monday. Weekends typically involve nature hikes on various trails, allowing all the dogs to explore new scents and enjoy the outdoors. My dogs are my weekend companions, and your pup will become part of our pack on these adventures. I'm passionate about providing dogs with enriching experiences, and I'm confident your dog will have a fun and fulfilling time with us. I don't have a fenced-in yard, but we do monitor the dogs carefully when they are outside. Depending on the dog, we would either walk them on a leash or allow them to explore under close supervision. We have a crate available if needed, but you are more than welcome to bring your dog's own crate if they feel more comfortable in it. Dogs are welcome on furniture, beds, and throughout the house. Our home is completely dog-friendly.
About: I have cared for my own dog for the past 13 years and sadly he died in February 2025. I walked him around my neighborhood consistently for all those years and now having that routine gone is difficult. Before having him as my own, I also helped take care of my families dog for several years. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages and demeanors and all sizes too :) I am attending SUNY Cortland right now and that is the only large barrier in my weekly schedule. I can care and/or walk dogs after 7pm on Monday and Wednesdays. I am available after 4pm on Tuesday and Thursday. Friday and Saturday I can provide care all day with a days notice. Without notice I will most likely be working on Friday and therefore not available until after 4pm that day. I can house-sit on Fridays and Saturdays and into Sunday afternoon as well! I will maintain a safe and calm environment for your pet while caring for them and allow them to initiate any desired games or actions. I am willing to accommodate however you prefer for your dog when caring for them, just let me know of anything necessary :) Any questions or concerns for your dog's care are welcomed and appreciated as I prefer a heads up in advance of anything unusual or to keep an eye out/for.
