About: I have taken care of dogs of every kind for the past 18 years (since I was 15). I am experienced with cats, birds, and reptiles as well. I have worked as an assistant at an exotic veterinary hospital so I also have knowledge of admitting medicines, fluids, CPR and have access to immediate care when necessary (although situationally dependent would be a small commute). My mother and I had a sitting and boarding business for 10 years in CT so I come with references. I no longer work full time so I have open availability and if you need a house sitter my dog does not come with me he stays with my father. If looking for a drop in for bunnies, birds, reptiles, cats ECT please message me to discuss rates and availability. I am currently between jobs but sometimes work about 3 hours in the evening about 3 nights a week at a part time job. I can manage that schedule around your needs. About: My name is Melissa and I have taken care of animals since my first dog in second grade. I previously had a Labrador and Shih-Tzu who both lived until old age. I also fostered older dogs who could not find homes due to their age. I currently have a one year old yellow lab mix. He’s dog and cat friendly. In order to board your dog, your dog must be dog friendly. I also require a meet and greet to ensure it’s a good fit. Buddy is not neutered so unspayed females are not a good fit. I offer boarding in my home. I live in a second story apartment in an old building with a large yard. There is a picture of my apartment located within my pictures. I only board one animal at a time as it's a one bedroom apartment. It allows me to spend quality time with your pet! For boarding I do provide dishes and toys, but many animals prefer to have some of their own. I have open availability on weekends, however I work from home on weekdays and there may be times I need to be out of my home for up to three hours. I have a camera in my home and will be able to remotely check on your pet if I need to be away for work. I will always inform you prior to the booking if I have appointments out of the home. I am experienced feeding animals in a variety of ways and will follow your instructions on feeding and walking.
