“Erika saved the day when she so graciously accepted a last minute booking for my cat and kittens I rescued who recently had spay/neuter surgery. My mom lives 7-8 hours away and was in a bad car accident. It was too soon to leave the kittens overnight with drop-ins. Erika came and stayed with them for two nights so I could be with my mom. She was super kind and put me right at ease. She kept me updated and as hard as it is to believe I didn’t worry about them at all. She even set food out for a family of community cats who have mostly moved in on my back porch. I’d hire her again without any reservations. A bonus, the house was all tidied up when I got home from my long trip.”

I have personally trained and fostered two rescue puppies into healthy fun-loving dogs. One- a labrador mix was very anxious at first(he was abandoned with his litter) but after awhile she relaxed and seems like a different dog now! The other is a small Schnauzer mix who was very agreeable from the start with a little bit of potty training issues early on. Now it is smooth sailing and the two play very well together. My current rates reflect that my two pups will be with me during a summer house sit. (See picture of them on New Years Eve above!) Ideally I'd be sitting for a dog that likes other dogs and they could all play together. As a dog sitter I am active and love to keep dogs engaged and having fun. About: My love for dogs knows no bounds! While I started actively caring for dogs about three years ago, I’ve had them in my life since I was 10. Taking my dogs to the beach or on trail walks is part of my daily routine. I realized that if I’m already bringing my own pups on adventures, why not share the fun and include other dogs too! Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. I’m typically signed on from 9am-5pm with periodic meetings, but am able to step away for breaks during the workday. Ensure that your pet is comfortable with me! I usually prefer some extra time together when arriving to make sure they feel safe with me in your home.

About: I'm a long time volunteer with Friends of the Homeless Animals and I have two rescue dogs of my own. We are a dog loving family and have a very pet friendly home, My dogs have always been very welcoming and have been great with the dozens of foster dogs we've had in and out of our house over the last decade. We decided to try boarding in our home-- we know how difficult it is to go away and worry about your pet. We have a lot of experience with all kinds of dogs—our goal is always to give the dogs space and time to relax and feel comfortable. I've done everything from giving insulin shots to oral vaccines. I've had dogs with separation anxiety, dementia, dog aggression--you name an issue, I've had a foster dog with it!, My 26 year old daughter is often with us and is wonderful with dogs and helps out quite a bit. She stands in for me if I have to be away. I work from home, so I am always around. We take walks in our neighborhood and I always make sure someone is around when we are boarding a dog We are fenced in and make it a point to be extremely watchful of the dogs in our home. We don’t take our boarding dogs off the leash.

About: I grew up with dogs and have a very large very hyper guy currently. I started walking dogs when I was in elementary school and dog sat during Covid. I’ve also owned dogs through every stage of their life, from 8 weeks to 16 years old. I work restaurant hours Thursday through Sunday, 3 to 11. This means I have 3 days completely free and I’m available every morning and afternoon. I can’t do anything in my own home because my dog isn’t very good at making friends, but because of that I am very good with walking and caring for more challenging dogs
About: I’ve taken care of the dogs in my neighborhood since I was 11. I’ve dogsat for neighbors and walked dogs before. Most of my family has dogs so when they go out of town I watch their pets. I train for soccer every morning, so dog walking is a great way for me to stay active and keep my legs stretched and warm. I have a super flexible schedule outside of my morning training! I will mainly be walking dogs and will make sure they are hydrated, are able to do their business, and enjoy their time out in the sun and nature! About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, from the day I was born to now! I volunteered at an animal shelter for a year too!
