“Having just moved to Long Island, my husband and I were in search of a reliable dog sitter for our dog, Kilo. We always had friends watch him in Miami, and were a bit nervous leaving Kilo with a stranger for 3 nights. Initially, we checked out some kennels in the area, and found them quite depressing. That led us to look on Rover, and Daniel's profile came up first. I reached out to Daniel to inquire about booking with him, and within minutes Daniel had responded and we set up a meet and greet for later that night. I stopped by with Kilo to see Daniel's set up/house. I could immediately tell that he was a dog person and was going to treat my dog as his own! “This was our first time using Rover. I was very reluctant to use a person I did not know, or friends didn't know. However, I am so glad I took the chance with a 5 day/overnight in Sarah's home. It's a relief she only takes one animal at a time since our dog doesn't like other dogs. At the meet and greet, Sarah asked many questions to get a feel for Milo (eating & bathroom habits, walking, sleeping habits etc...) To start, her home is absolutely immaculate. I received a daily update with pictures on how our dog was adjusting & doing overall. Milo was displaying some quirky behaviors which Sarah reported right away & thought was cute/funny. She was very accepting, flexible in many ways, and an absolute delight to talk with. It is apparent she is a dog lover! Upon pick up, Milo was happy and all his belongings were packed & ready to go. Our checklist of amenities include: - private couch/futon for lounging - clean fresh water bowls 24/7 - several breaks for play time outside - 24 hour recorded camera monitoring in - secured locked doors -AC and/or heat & fans with temp alerts - TV and ALEXA/echo music - fenced secure yard - easily cleaned floors **rates are for 24 hour periods. I have a beautiful toy poodle and I recently dropped her off at a kennel for "daycare" and when I went to pick her up, she had a fracture that still to this day they cannot explain hoe it happened. Ever since that traumatized experience ive been very apprehensive about leaving my puppy with anyone. Emily and her fiancé was very understanding and supportive of all of my concerns. Emily suggested a meet and greet which went so well. She was able to reassure that my puppy was in good hands. She showed me the space where my journie will be staying which was very warm, welcoming, and clean. My puppy stayed a few hours with Emily, and she kept me up-to-date with pictures, videos, and texts throughout her entire stay. We'd have to take off some hours from work as the construction was done on our house. I hopped onto Rover and quickly found Ashley. Always on time which was great because we wanted Amber to be picked up before the workers got there. When we got home from work Ashley would drop her off. About: I’ve worked at a Veterinary Hospital for 32 yrs, raised/trained more than 15 puppies to be service dogs & have been doing Animal Assisted Therapy since 1993. I have recently retired, set up my house to be dog friendly and now I have plenty of time to spend with my dogs and your pups! My home is clean and dog friendly with a fenced in backyard. All dogs are allowed on the couch (if you allow that) and my lap (small dogs plz). There are plenty of toys and dog beds for resting:) I also have many baby gates if a dog wants alone time.

“Having just moved to Long Island, my husband and I were in search of a reliable dog sitter for our dog, Kilo. We always had friends watch him in Miami, and were a bit nervous leaving Kilo with a stranger for 3 nights. Initially, we checked out some kennels in the area, and found them quite depressing. That led us to look on Rover, and Daniel's profile came up first. I reached out to Daniel to inquire about booking with him, and within minutes Daniel had responded and we set up a meet and greet for later that night. I stopped by with Kilo to see Daniel's set up/house. I could immediately tell that he was a dog person and was going to treat my dog as his own! I was nervous because Kilo can be a little territorial with other large males, but Daniel reassured me that everything would be fine. I dropped Kilo off later that week for his stay with Daniel and his family. Daniel sent pictures of Kilo playing outside and responded to any questions/concerns I had about Kilo during his stay. I felt totally confident that my dog was in good hands at his house. Daniel and his family will definitely be my dog people on the island! I absolutely recommend their services. I've already booked Kilo's next stay, and I also look forward to dropping Kilo off every once in a while for day care services just so he can run around and play with other dogs in a safe environment!”

About: For 15 years, I have loved and cared for my animals. I was lucky enough to receive excellent training for my shepherd/husky and incorporate the methods during interactions with other animals as well as my new puppy. I completely understand needing reliable care when away. Patience, exercise and attention work wonders!! I'm currently working remote on Thursdays and am able to fit walks in throughout the day as well as during weekends. A varied schedule is fine!! Ensuring the animal's environment is the same when I leave as when I arrive is necessary to prevent injury or any accident. My yard is completely fenced in and equipped to play and run!

I am an excellent coordinator! In my calendar, on my phone alarm, and in my heart, everytime. I am a homeschool mother of 2 boys. We start dog care at 7AM, feeding/potties, rest for 30 mins, back out for potties, pics and playtime for 30 mins, hydrate,30 mins later potty, & rotating sleep to play throughout day every 3.5 hrs Puppies and geriatrics 15 mins/ every 2 hrs We love hosting pets and consider it a family business. My children love it and we respect the opportunity and strive to gain relationships with local community members. I am a homeowner with a full femce and a double gate system. I rotate packs or 1:1 for playtime/potty time. I have 2 sweet medium sized dogs. Both are crate trained and excellent demeanors. I work from home only caring for the dogs. There are no other jobs to interfere. My children are 10 & 11 years old, are homeschooled, & young employees that love pups. I have crates, bowls, fencing and great knowledge of a canine decompression activities, integrative play specialist, dog trainer, & and a pup host with 5 years full time experience.
