“I can't say enough about Rory D. Her home was clean, neat, and very organized. She had a separate "bedroom" where Gigi would spend the night and relax when other pets were in the house. During her stay Rory gave Gigi the opportunity to meet and forge a friendship with another cat. I was so pleased! Rory followed all care requests. Rory sent pictures and videos of Gigi throughout her stay. Gigi appeared very content and happy. Gigi was well cared for and healthy when I picked her up at the end of her stay. About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

I am comfortable giving oral meds, comfortable learning other routes of medication administration if needed. Currently will only board cats from the same home or young puppies (message for more details) at a time due to other animals in the house. Your fur baby will have their very Owen room with a gate door that is about 6ft tall to keep them safe and comfortable when I am not watching them or letting them out for play time. I will follow your set schedule for feedings and play time. If I am boarding an animal they are my soul focus till pick up time. I offer daily or every other day pictures/video updates of your pet, my phone is always on so you can always reach me about any concerns. I have one cat and two dogs in the house. They will remain separated from your animal at all times for safety and comfort of your beloved pet. All animals in the house are fully vaccinated including kennel cough. I have had continued education in cat grooming, dog grooming, skin care, etc. I specialized in senior and anxiety dogs. I have had upward of 9 dogs at one time and they did not all get along. About: What sets me apart is my combination of professional experience, hands-on training knowledge, and truly individualized care. I previously worked as a veterinary technician, so I’m very comfortable handling dogs with a wide range of needs, including safely administering medications and recognizing subtle changes in behavior or health. Beyond that, I have personal experience training dogs, including puppies, so I can reinforce good habits, basic commands, and positive behaviors while they’re in my care. I’m also attentive to senior dogs who may need a slower pace, extra patience, or specialized support. About: I've been lucky to share my life with two amazing dogs. One was a sweet 11-year-old deaf golden retriever that I adopted, and my first dog was a German Shepherd that I raised from a puppy until her sad passing. So, I definitely have plenty of puppy experience. For over a year now, I've been a dedicated pet sitter and dog walker, working with several wonderful clients and their furry friends. I always make sure to treat the pets in my care just like my own. I pet sit and dog walk full-time. Potty breaks are no more than 2 hours apart. I am not gone often outside of the home. I really enjoy taking the dogs outside to play every couple of hours. I make sure to feed them twice a day with half portions so they can eat more slowly, unless the owner has different instructions. My home is always neat and welcoming, and I use cozy couch covers so the pets can feel comfortable and free to relax on the couch. Walking dogs is something I truly enjoy, and I can happily handle up to three at a time. It’s a wonderful way for both me and the pups to get some good exercise. I also have a medium-sized, fenced yard where we enjoy playing fetch and taking the dogs for potty breaks. This way, the dogs stay active and are happily tired out when it’s time to go home. While I don’t do house sitting, I always make sure everything is tidy during check-ins, and I take care of the litter, food, and water to keep things comfortable for everyone.

About: Ever since I was born my family always had lots of pets! I’ve taken care of all different breeds of dogs and cats. I care for all of my family’s pets when they’re away. I am a very easy going person who just loves animals and am a good care taker! I’m currently going to school for nursing and I am working part time so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your pets! I love spending time with animals so this is a great fit for me I currently have 2 cats, Knox and Mako. Knox is as sweet as can be and mako is just a kitten still but she’s a cuddle bug.
About: I’ve had animals for about 15 years now, and I’ve taken such great care of them growing up and even now! I’ve always been reliable and anyone I’ve dog sat for can say the same! I currently do a part-time job but I have a lot of availability during the week and all of the weekends to hang out with your animals! I always have an eye of them, and make sure they have someone who will pay attention to them even if I’m busy doing something else! I can also make sure they are in their crate if I’m leaving for a minute or two.

About: Having worked as both a dog trainer and a pet care associate for PetSmart for 3+ years - as well as having always been a pet owner myself - I’ve learned a great deal about how to suit the needs of each and every pet and how to best communicate with them and accommodate their needs! As a teacher aide with summers off, I will have almost complete availability over summer. I am flexible and willing to work with you to figure out what will work best for I can comfortably handle different types of animals with my 2+ years of experience owning my own (cats, dogs, gerbils, hamsters, etc) and working with different species, as well as training dogs at my previous job as a PetSmart worker for 3+ years!

About: Have trained and raised 3 beautiful dogs and have family within the foster and veterinary fields. Having a few pit bulls, have basic obedience and leash walking training..we live super close to the water as well as dog parks and playgrounds and would love to help other pups have a good and safe life:) Or a cozy environment if your fur baby prefers a calm safe space. One of us works from home, mainly nights, so there is always someone around to take care of the precious pup..and our weekends consist of hikes, water adventures, less reactive trails, and movie parties! We have a closed in 3 floor apartment as well as multiple courtyards and doggy parks right around the corner from where we live. We live directly next to a school so a fenced in playground (without other dogs) is also available. We have a large and small sized crate with lots of enrichment treat, toys, galore !

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

My Boxer has separation anxiety so bad she got severe colitis last time I had to travel, so I knew a kennel setting would not be good for her. Getting pictures of the dogs completely relaxed and comfortable put my fears at rest almost immediately! Katie took excellent care of the dogs and took care on my worries as well! I would recommend her without hesitation :)”
