About: I’m a 33 year old retired dog groomer and ran large grooming salons in the Pittsburgh area as well as here in New York for a total of 10 years. Was also a kennel boarding assistant as well as a vet assistant for a mobile vaccine clinic serving Niagara Falls, Watertown, Rochester and other areas. I have had everything from chihuahuas to Rottweilers and pit bulls. I treat pets like my children and love all shapes and sizes and able to provide medication as well as any other special need requests. I know basic first aid but I do not have pet CPR certification. I also have plenty of references and client feedback if needed to ensure you get the care your pet needs and deserves. I have an open schedule so if you need times outside of my availability please message me and I may be able to work with your schedule! About: I've had pets in my life since the day I was born, and as a teen I spent several years working in an animal shelter, caring for animals and working with the health team. I'm experienced with puppies, elderly dogs, dogs with behavioral challenges, and visually impaired and deaf animals. I've also cared for dogs with serious health needs like cancer and diabetes. I'm not a vet or vet tech, but I'm comfortable with basic care like changing a bandage, and I know how to respond in an emergency and reach the nearest emergency care. I've boarded dogs over 100 pounds, and they do great with my dog Leo, a 16 pound Jack Russell dachshund mix who has graduated from obedience and agility courses about five times. I also sit cats, birds, small critters, and reptiles. For dogs, I like to start with a neutral meet and greet, so I ask for two weeks notice, though I'm flexible in emergencies. If you'd like, I can also arrange grooming and specialized training as an additional service while your pet is in my care, provided through a licensed groomer and trainer. Your pet will be treated like family. I work from home, so I offer daytime care during work hours as well as overnight boarding while you travel. Your pet gets plenty of one-on-one time and extra TLC when needed. All pet care happens in my home on a quiet street in the Village of Manchester. I work remotely, so your pet is never left alone for long. Dogs get lots of one-on-one time, and I'm happy to send updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I start with a neutral meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along with my dog Leo. I have a large backyard with natural tree lines and barriers, but safety comes first. Any dog in my care stays on a leash or tie out whenever they're outside, with no exceptions, even if a yard is fenced. I'm happy to take short walks into the yard, and if your pet prefers pet pads, I can provide those. Cats get a quiet room behind closed doors, separate from my own cats, and can stay in their crate, come out, or sit with me in my office. I know how to respond in an emergency and how to reach the nearest emergency care.

I have CPR training and can provide comfort for the anxious friends too! I am disabled, but have 100% commitment and free time to help your fur baby out. My schedule is open and readily available. About: 2 years ago I got my first dog, Taro, as a puppy of not even 2 months. Since then, I've immersed myself in dog training and constantly get compliments on how well-behaved my dog is. In the middle of the COVID pandemic I took some time while my classes were remote to learn and travel. One of such experiences was a 3 month stay in North Carolina with a family who had raised a number of award-winning, hunting dogs and had just adopted 2 new puppies for training. In that time I learned alot about dog obedience and good manners training. I believe my unique experiences with dogs the last nearly 2 years set me apart from a standard pet carer. I'm willing to walk dogs who have difficulties with pulling on the leash or jumping on strangers during walks. If given a regular schedule with your dog and your permission to use training treats I would be happy to help your dog improve on these problem behaviors. *Note* *I would not be bringing mine or any other client dogs on any scheduled client walks unless you give permission to. When Taro was a puppy I would sometimes take him on walks with well-behaved, older dogs to get him socialized to other dogs. If this is something you'd like me to work on with your dog that can be discussed* I have generally open availability. I walk my own dog twice day with some longer walks reserved for training sessions. I am available after 4pm most weekdays and as needed on weekends. To the specifications of the owner. I take great care to not disrupt the life of my client pup too much just because their parents are out of town.
