About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I can handle the most challenging of dogs down to little babies and everything in between. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention when I'm around! I give all dogs the same love and affection I would give my own dog and see the importance of cuddle and buddy time along with good exercise. About: (Saying up front that I am not comfortable using a prong collar, so if that’s something you use on your dog, I don’t believe I’m a right fit for the service you want. Please don’t invite me to your home and surprise me with a prong collar—I will not use it on your dog.) Now here’s my bio: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

I am willing to give medications if needed, I have experience from working at ASPCA. I also love to groom and give baths so your dog will never come home dirty, and nails can be trimmed as needed. I also have taken care of friends and family’s pets in their homes while they are away, most owning multiple types of pets from dogs, cats, and even bearded dragons. I currently work a full-time job at a bakery. My shifts/days off would be: Tuesday-Friday 4am-2pm Saturday-Sunday open availability For any overnight sitting needs, I will probably do best with an owner looking for a weekend sitter as my 10hr shifts can be a long time away from the home. On the other hand, for any drop in visits or walks I am free after I get out of work at 2pm to assist in any late afternoon care! As well as my open availability on the weekends I can not unfortunately offer to care for pets in my own home, as it is unfenced and has a cat residing that does best as a single pet. This is something I can recognize, so it is best that I come to the clients home. A pet communicates with people in so many ways, and the best way to create a safe environment for both you and the pet is to understand those behaviors. I have a good understanding of reading an animal and when boundaries are being set, whether they are done with play time and need space, or need some extra attention. Any pet care details left by the owner, I follow very closely to give the pet the closest experience they can get to a typical day in the home with the owner.

“Lindsey is a great dog sitter! I wasn't able to have my dog Zoe with me for Christmas this year, so she got to spend it with Lindsey and her family. Zoe was right at home there on "the farm" and really enjoyed being part of the family. She made some new friends with the chickens and horses and Lindsey's two dogs who were very friendly with Zoe. About: I’ve handled dogs for the AKC since I was 12 years old starting in junior handling and worked my way up to professional handling very quickly. I am open all days of the week and I live right next-door. (Same building) The dogs will be cared for as I would my own and taking out consistently also making sure they have plenty freshwater in this heat. Along with lots of belly rubs!! The facility can be locked. I am there constantly and there’s plenty of room. I’m always available and I make sure that every pup is happy. If you have a puppy or dog with severe separation anxiety I can sleep downstairs with your dog also.
