“Angela is a gem! I was planning a road trip with my 7.5 year old Norwegian Elkhound, Grayson (med. size) from Terre Haute, Indiana to Clinton, NY to visit family just recently in October of 2025. There were a lot of pieces of the of the puzzle to figure out and I started my internet and calling search in August. I was going to be staying at my mother's Senior apartment complex, celebrating her 87th birthday, but they do not allow visiting/staying dogs. My brother lives nearby but due to teenagers coming and going and having a small dog I needed to find other accommodations for Grayson. I called, emailed and options were few and far between. Some boarding kennels were too expensive or already booked, or had rules that the dog must stay until final pickup. Independent pet/home sitters not on Rover did not return emails. I needed to be able to take Grayson out a couple of times during the trip so that my mom could see Grayson as well as enjoy some of the Clinton fun spots with him while there. I also needed to pick Grayson up for the weekend to visit relatives in Massachusetts, then return him for another pet stay the next week. Angela was literally the last person I reached out to (having never used Rover and was unsure at first to use the service) and she got what I was trying to accomplish! We had seamless communication through Rover for initial Q & A and then had a couple of video chats to confirm that this was a match! The Rover app is similar to Airbnb where communication, reservations, and payment are done over the platform. When it was time for travel, Angela let us know she was ready for us! Grayson stayed with Angela Monday through Friday with a mid-week pick up for an afternoon, then picked up Grayson for the weekend getaway visiting relatives. Then Grayson spent Monday through Wednesday of the next week with Angela. Let me just say Grayson fell in love with Angela and Angela fell in love with Grayson! Angela is very attentive with all the details, and all the things you bring to make your pup comfortable (meds, crate, blankets, etc all was handled with care!) Grayson loved all the walks and attention she gave him! It was fun making the drive from Clinton to Angela's, about a 30 min. drive and her town is so pretty, especially with the fall colors and stopping at the local museum and produce stands was so enjoyable. I felt totally comfortable the whole trip that Grayson was well cared for. Angela went the extra mile with lots of attention, walks, brushing and getting an extra bone when I forgot mine. Without Angela, this road trip would not have happened as I really wanted to bring Grayson and have my mom see him as time marches on and wanted mom to see Grayson before any more time went by. Angela made my dream trip come true! Grayson and I even had a side trip to Niagara Falls and I will remember this trip forever! I plan to do this roundtrip again and will definitely book Angela again! I recommend Angela as an exceptional pet/home sitter! For any travelers out there with itineraries like mine, you will be in great hands with Angela! Thank you, Angela, your care for Grayson totally warmed my heart! About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I can handle the most challenging of dogs down to little babies and everything in between. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention when I'm around! I give all dogs the same love and affection I would give my own dog and see the importance of cuddle and buddy time along with good exercise. I show confidence when I'm with a dog so that they know there is trust with me from the beginning. I currently work part time, so have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby. I am always available after 3:00 p.m. during the week, before 8:00 a.m. or anytime on the weekends. I've got a very pet friendly home. I live in a single story, ranch house that has a fully fenced back yard. I do not have children at home that we would need to worry about and I'm very respectful if needed to go into a client's home. We had to switch hotels but weren’t able to get an early check in so we needed to figure a plan for our little Coco for just a few hours. About: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

I am willing to give medications if needed, I have experience from working at ASPCA. I also love to groom and give baths so your dog will never come home dirty, and nails can be trimmed as needed. About: I've been working with animals since I was little. I've worked with all sizes of dogs and also have taken care of cats. I've watched senior pets and pets with specific health needs. About: Hi, my name is Micayla, and I love animals! I have owned dogs for 7 years, but worked with them for much longer. I currently have a super quirky Cavalier puppy named Sadie Pumpkin Waffles. We have completely obedience training, so I know how to keep control of your dog while on a leash, and how to give/reinforce basic cues. I believe we will have a lot of fun while hanging out! My schedule is quite flexible, as I currently work freelance. I can usually accommodate last minute bookings, however I do need to be home to tend to my own dog at least every 8hrs. While conducting drop-in visits, your dogs will get plenty of play time, pets, and snuggles. (And hopefully treats!) They will be let out for potty breaks, and/or taken on walks, then brought inside so that they can continue on with their day.

About: I have had pets in my family for all of my life. Always dogs and cats, but also many different reptiles, birds, rabbits, ferrets, hamsters and both fresh and salt water aquariums. It is all too much work to keep so many pets myself, so I figured Rover was a way that my family and myself can share our love for pets with others’ animals. I am experienced with dogs of all ages from puppies to seniors. Special care or medicines are not an issue for me. I work evening hours, typically 3 or 4PM until 10pm-12am. My wife works 8am- 4pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and works from home on Monday and Thursday. We have two responsible teens who also help with our pet care. Someone is almost always home throughout every day with the exception of up to 2 hours in the afternoon. I have a fenced in yard and an 8 year old dog who loves to play with other dogs. She enjoys when our friends bring over their dogs and she gets to run around in the yard with them. We have a gate to use in the stairs in case the dogs want or need a break from one another. Visiting pets will be kept in the downstairs of the house so the cats have a safe place upstairs. Most of the fenced in backyard is covered by cameras for your peace of mind. As an added bonus, my daughter has a dog agility course complete with jumps that she loves to run our pup through. Your little friend will get plenty of exercise. We also live on a quiet dead-end circle that provides a nice leash walking area with minimal traffic. As far as caring for your pets on your home, I will follow your instructions precisely and leave your house as-is.

“Angela is a gem! I was planning a road trip with my 7.5 year old Norwegian Elkhound, Grayson (med. size) from Terre Haute, Indiana to Clinton, NY to visit family just recently in October of 2025. There were a lot of pieces of the of the puzzle to figure out and I started my internet and calling search in August. I was going to be staying at my mother's Senior apartment complex, celebrating her 87th birthday, but they do not allow visiting/staying dogs. My brother lives nearby but due to teenagers coming and going and having a small dog I needed to find other accommodations for Grayson. I called, emailed and options were few and far between. Some boarding kennels were too expensive or already booked, or had rules that the dog must stay until final pickup. Independent pet/home sitters not on Rover did not return emails. I needed to be able to take Grayson out a couple of times during the trip so that my mom could see Grayson as well as enjoy some of the Clinton fun spots with him while there. I also needed to pick Grayson up for the weekend to visit relatives in Massachusetts, then return him for another pet stay the next week. Angela was literally the last person I reached out to (having never used Rover and was unsure at first to use the service) and she got what I was trying to accomplish! We had seamless communication through Rover for initial Q & A and then had a couple of video chats to confirm that this was a match! The Rover app is similar to Airbnb where communication, reservations, and payment are done over the platform. When it was time for travel, Angela let us know she was ready for us! Grayson stayed with Angela Monday through Friday with a mid-week pick up for an afternoon, then picked up Grayson for the weekend getaway visiting relatives. Then Grayson spent Monday through Wednesday of the next week with Angela. Let me just say Grayson fell in love with Angela and Angela fell in love with Grayson! Angela is very attentive with all the details, and all the things you bring to make your pup comfortable (meds, crate, blankets, etc all was handled with care!) Grayson loved all the walks and attention she gave him! It was fun making the drive from Clinton to Angela's, about a 30 min. drive and her town is so pretty, especially with the fall colors and stopping at the local museum and produce stands was so enjoyable. I felt totally comfortable the whole trip that Grayson was well cared for. Angela went the extra mile with lots of attention, walks, brushing and getting an extra bone when I forgot mine. Without Angela, this road trip would not have happened as I really wanted to bring Grayson and have my mom see him as time marches on and wanted mom to see Grayson before any more time went by. Angela made my dream trip come true! Grayson and I even had a side trip to Niagara Falls and I will remember this trip forever! I plan to do this roundtrip again and will definitely book Angela again! I recommend Angela as an exceptional pet/home sitter! “Prior to booking Kara, I hadn’t used Rover in years and was nervous about leaving my dog in the care of another person—we’re attached at the hip. However, I couldn’t have booked a better person. Kara is extremely communicative and caring, and had plenty of space for my pup to run around and explore. She asked lots of clarifying questions prior to booking, and I could tell she really enjoyed and remained curious about the personality of my dog! I received lots of pictures and quick responses. My energetic Staffordshire Terrier, Toto, enjoyed a long weekend of naps and sunshine, and returned to me vibrant as ever! About: I have over 10 years of hands-on professional dog care experience working in dog daycares, boarding kennels, and grooming facilities in both Colorado and New York. I’ve managed large daycare playgroups of 15–20 dogs, monitored interactions, redirected rough play, and maintained calm, structured environments. One of our daily staff challenges involved having an entire group line up and hold a sit at the same time—something I was proud to accomplish more than once. I also worked at a boarding and grooming kennel in Durango, CO owned by a competitive dog-show handler with extremely high standards. Because staff was small, I gained extensive one-on-one experience with dogs of all breeds and temperaments, including nail trims (even nervous dogs), coat-specific brushing, ear and dental care, bathing, drying, and boarding routines. I also handled front-desk responsibilities, scheduling, and check-ins. At home, I live with two very friendly dogs of my own—Cooper, a beagle, and Tucker, an Australian Shepherd–beagle mix. They are social, affectionate, and almost always carrying a ball around the house. We play daily enrichment games such as hide-and-seek: I’ll have them wait in another room while I hide their balls or bedtime treats, and when I let them out, them they make a mad dash to look for them. It’s one of their favorite parts of the day and a fun way to keep them moving and engaged when it's too cold outside or when I'm doing things around the house. Our home is fully set up for boarding with a large fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor play, plus a dedicated dog-care nook stocked with harnesses, leashes, winter jackets, brushes, and treats. Living with my own dogs full-time means I’m experienced with routines, energy management, introductions, and helping new pups feel comfortable quickly. Cooper and Tucker enjoy meeting new friends, and I carefully supervise all group play. What truly drives me is how much joy dogs bring into everyday life, which is why I chose to follow that passion into my career. Being around happy, healthy dogs is contagious in the best way, and creating an environment where they feel safe, loved, and excited to be here is what I aim for every day. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I’m home often and structure my days around indoor and outdoor playtime, enrichment activities, meals, and rest breaks. Dogs in my care receive plenty of attention, supervised yard time, and companionship throughout the day rather than being left alone for long stretches. I’m available for in-home boarding and extended stays, and I plan my schedule to make sure every dog gets consistent care, exercise, and individual attention. My home is fully set up for dogs, with a large fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor play and plenty of space indoors to relax. I live with two friendly dogs, Cooper and Tucker, and always supervise interactions, and group play. I live with my mother, so she may be around occasionally but it is only me who will be looking after and taking care of the pups. She is aware of my services and is happy to open the home to more dogs for sitting and more pals for Cooper and Tucker! I follow each dog’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, medication instructions, and preferred activity levels. Dogs can be separated for meals or downtime if needed, and I’m comfortable using crates or quiet spaces based on what makes them feel most secure. We also have a dedicated dog-care nook stocked with harnesses, leashes, winter jackets, brushes, and treats so guests are always prepared for Syracuse weather. Cleanliness, hygiene, and calm handling are priorities here. You’ll receive regular photo updates and messages so you can feel confident your pup is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away(:
