The older dog gets anxiety when she would stay at a boarding facility due to being around lots of dogs, barking and sleeping in a kennel. She experienced none of that while with Jessica. She came home happy, calm and most importantly, with an appetite. She took them on long walks everyday, played with them and treated them as her own. About: I've had dogs my entire life from puppies to rescues! I've also been a grooming salon manager in Ithaca for 9 years. I've cared for many different breeds, ages, temperaments, and quirks all dogs have and I love them all the same. I have two dogs of my own Luke and Yoda. Luke is a 6 year old lab mix around 35 lbs. He is very loving and playful. Yoda is a 5 year old miniature fox terrier mix who has unlimited energy and is the sweetest snuggler. I am home all day with my baby and two dogs of my own so I can give the same care to some extra dogs! I treat every dog as if they are my own. I have lots of extra blankets to make sure they have there own space (i do recommend to bring some of there stuff like blankets, beds, and toys to make them more comfortable) and have extra room to separate them if they need to be alone. I will always make sure they are comfortable, happy, loved, and safe!

About: I have always had pets in my life. I was born into a house with cats and dogs and have had two dogs for as long as I can remember. I have taken care of the animals when my parents have been gone. We have had dogs old and young of all sizes and I love all animals big and small. I will love on animals and play with them, take care of them or just snuggle if they dont like to play. I will be with the animals as much as possible in between other jobs. I also have worked at petsmart in the pet hotel so I have a lot of knowledge and experience working with pets. I am currently working full time but I can let the dogs out before I go to work and then can go right after work as well. I go in at 8 am and get off at 330 pm I will take special care with each pet and be sure to follow the rules that are set by the pet parent. Because of working at petsmart I pay close attention to details and take special care of pets.

About: I’ve owned cats my whole life. My current cat is a sassy senior tortie named Queen. I'm well versed in reading body language through ears and tail. I have lots of experience with senior cats with health conditions; managing pet prescriptions and special diets. I'm comfortable administering medications if needed. In the past, I’ve taken care of my parent's diabetic asthmatic cat by giving her insulin injections daily as well as using an inhaler on her. Animal rescue is my biggest passion! About: My very first pet of my own is my beautiful calico cat, Nala. I love her beyond words and I would treat your fur baby just how I would want someone to care for mine! I have been cat sitting for over 10 years, as one of my very first jobs was watching my neighbors cat while they were on vacation. She was diabetic so I had to give insulin and make sure she was feeling okay without her mom and dad around. I have 4 kids(1-16) so the dog must be good with small children. I do work during the week. Someone is home during the summer and school breaks. About: I've cared for dogs of different sizes over the years and I love to cuddle, walk, and pamper pups. We have a fenced in back yard and I like to take long walks with dogs if they're up for it. We have a 4 year old boxer/hound mix who is sweet with people but not great with other dogs. We keep him away from guest dogs, there's lots of room in the house for each dog to have their own space and still get lots of love from me and the family. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I take breaks through the day to care for puppies, whether that's a quick potty break, fun walk, or play time with balls and toys. When boarding, I make sure pups get any meds they need, plenty of time outside, and snuggles on the couch (if they're the snuggling type). I know some dogs need longer or shorter walks, and I make adjustments based on what they need.

About: Update: though I am no longer a FT pet sitter, and I’ve returned to work in Liverpool 10-7p M-R/8-5p Friday, I still love to take clients when I can! — I always have waste bags, dog treats, and carriers with me. I have common vet meds memorized. I own plastic syringes. I’m a part of a group that provides emergency wildlife transport & rescue. I don’t scare easily if at all, and I know how to keep your pet, and myself safe— most importantly! I will care for your pet with so much patience, empathy, care, space (if needed), cuddles (if they are asking for it), or whatever is appropriate. Animals can do no wrong out of evil or malice in my eyes, they just need guidance and love and help! My biggest flaw as a sitter is that I tend to over communicate as a baseline — usually out of confirming their health / safety first — but I can discern what is an emergency and send summarized updates (i.e. by night or by weekend if housesitting longterm, for example.) So feel FREE to set a boundary; you can’t hurt my feelings. Just let me know how to reach you (message or call) & for what. My schedule can vary week-to-week — or even day-to-day! — But these days my spouse takes care of our kitties & that frees me up to do this. My weekly schedule is flexible but Friday's I'm unavailble all day due to a full client scheudle that day! I have three dogs, a cat, and some chickens. All my animals are up to date and we have an electric fence to maintain their boundary. They get alot fo walking, running (especially the goldendoodle,) naps, and lovin'. My clients pets get walked twice a day, sometimes three if needed. I have one family who just likes me to go and let them out, play some fetch, and lots of belly rubs. About: I've taken care of dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities for a large portion of my life - from when I was a kid in Jersey until last year, when my sweet and challenging pit bull, Hudson passed away. The fourteen years I spent with him taught me everything I could possibly want to know about how to care for a dog. I love and miss him so. I'm not in a position to adopt a new dog of my own yet, but spending time with yours would be the next best thing! I have a part-time job at a local artist residency with flexible hours. About: I have grown up with animals my whole life. Between dogs, cats and horses I have bathe, fed and taken care of them all. I enjoy being around all different types of animals. I am working part time from 3pm-7pm which will give me plenty of time during the day to take care of your pup or kitty! About: I am just starting to my fourth career, playing with your companion. I recently retired from teaching sustainable development at UAlbany. I now spend my days outside with hairy friend Herman. I picked up my first stray, Bandit, at 9. I have had a at least one dog since then, I am now 63. All from shelters or strays. I also did doggie foster care too. Known to be gentle and friend of the furry ones. I start each day with a morning meander across the 25 acres on a dead end road. Your companion will be well exercised, loved and cared for as long as they get along with my 14 year old hairy friend Herman, who lets cats eat from his dishes. He runs the place when it comes to house rules. He does not have viscous bone in his body. After three careers and global travel I am recently retired. My days are spent gardening, walking, sitting on the porch, listening to music, etc. I am rarely gone more than a few hours as Herman, my four legged friend, needs special care at 14 years old. I am typically up before dawn, no dog or alarm necessary. My day typically begins with me waking predawn and greeting the new day with my hound Herman on the 25 acres we cohabitate. Most is abandoned agriculture returning to forest for 35 plus years that is bisected by a small babbling brook. Breakfast is then served before returning outside. In climate weather I am outside more than 70% of my day outside. At 14 he chooses to stay in sometimes. Your companion will be free to make their own choice too. My life ambition is to nurture life. I have cared for pets since I was born as my family had cats. There is a fenced area that includes four shaded area. There will be plenty of water, including a baby pool for play as well as sprinklers. This area is shares two fences lines with my garden, has direct access to a walk out basement, and is fully visible from my porch. The dogs will have near 24/7 personal attention and care. I live sustainably. There are no chemicals in my lawn or garden. I have an enclosed porch that in the summer is open air, but no steps to escape. Only with your permission would I walk a guest off leash. Before walking them off leash I will need feel 100% confident they respond to command when other distractions are present. Again with your permission I would take your friend to a fenced in dog park visit as a trial run. Herman, my housemate, is a happy healthy 14 year old he is my best reference. He also has final word on all guest of all species. About an 1/2 acre is fenced with direct access from the house through the basement door. It includes shaded doggie lounges, a baby pool in the summer, toys galore, and lots of attention as the space is adjacent to my garden and the covered porch. It has the capacity to be divided if unruly dog needs to be isolated or there are little ones that just need time away from the bigger ones. Indoors, dogs are free to roam in the basement and first floor. If they are cage trained I can accommodate that. The two beds are off limits. To prevent misunderstanding with bed loving dogs I will keep my guest room. Both the porch and the living room couches are fine. Little ones may use chairs too. The house is really set up for Herman’s comfort and safety. The 32x10 covered front porch is a favorite of Herman and all his visiting friends. Your hairy friend will be delighted by this feature too. One more thing, the hardwood floors are currently covered in rubber “yoga mats” as Herman can not cope with slippery floors. There are also many large dog beds that Herman is happy to share. Opps, where are our manners; welcome to our slice of Paradise!😊
