About: I will provide a on-the-ready daycare/check-in service. Check in's will include play time engagement, spending time with them if they have been alone, walks, administer medicine if need be, and overall quality check in. I can provide these services at a moments notice with being local to Burlington, and can also provide these services over an extended period of time to suite your schedule. Daily check in's can last anywhere from 30 mins to one hour, depending on your needs. I work full time but my schedule is flexible. I have watched and cared for multiple family friends cats and dogs since my teens, as well as now helping colleagues watch their pets while traveling out of town. My experience ranges from the simple check in's; walks, playtime, feeding - to administering shots, ear spray, tic and flea medicine, etc. I currently work a hybrid schedule Mon-Thurs in office and half-day Fridays from home, moving back to full-day Friday's from home come fall. Even when in office, my schedule is flexible and I am out of work by 4pm, and can step out quick if need be throughout the day, making sudden pop-in visits easy for me. And making scheduled visits even easier. I live on a quieter street and my apartment is set back from the road, giving peace of mind when out on walks or in the yard. Crating is always an option if you are more comfortable and familiar with that.

“I would highly recommend Dawn to take care of your fur baby; she cared for my rambunctious Goldendoodle as if he were her own. She is conveniently located in a quaint neighborhood that has limited traffic and no unleashed dogs; so, in addition to getting exercise in Dawn’s fenced in backyard, my puppy got exercise when Dawn walked around the neighborhood. After playing with toys supplied by Dawn, my dog cozied up to her dog for a nap. About: I've had pets my entire life. For over 40 years, I've raised puppies and kitties into well-behaved, loved members of my family. I have some experience giving medicine and training. I work from home 4 days of the work week and even on the day that I’m away, pets are never left alone for more than 5-6 hours a day, which is rare at that. I walk our dog daily and there is plenty of time to go out and play in a fenced yard multiples times during the day. As mentioned above, we lets our dogs get plenty of fresh air and exercise and they are rarely alone for long stretches at a time. If I'm taking care of a pet in their own home, those pets can get walks and regular visits based on their needs.

About: I have always been around dogs and other pets since I was a baby, and have always loved and cherished them. As an adult we have raised and taken care of three cats and dogs. While in the military for 10 years, I was responsible for taking care of many other pets, especially dogs, for other service members while they traveled or deployed. My dog Nigel and I tend to make fast friends with any other dogs we meet! I recently got out of the military, and moved back home to Vermont. I am currently not working, and will be working on online college courses from home for the foreseeable future. Therefore I have a very flexible schedule, and can make all the time necessary to keep any pets entertained and well taken care of! I have a very sweet four year old male English Cream Golden Retriever, named Nigel, who loves friends more than anything (other than treats) and will be my permanent doggie daycare assistant. We have a large 2.5 acre property that is partially fenced, with large yard space to run in, and wooded nature trails in the back for walks and lots of sniffs. We are also about 5 minutes away from a beautiful dog park and miles of nature trails that we try to go to every day.

About: Long story short: I have YEARS of experience and a deep love of all animals! I'm great with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities! Happy to walk them all! Must be kid and puppy friendly if sitting happens in my home. I am also great with cats for in-your-home pet-sitting or drop in visits! The Long Version: I've had dogs in my home since I was a kid. I also have experience with cats, as we had cats first when I was younger, and at one point had multiple cats in the home at once...and also had two cats and two dogs at one time. In college I volunteered at a local rescue and walked dogs of all sizes and personalities several days a week. I ended up adopting one of those dogs, and had her from the age of about 4, until her passing a couple years ago at around age 15. She was an absolute love, but she also could be very reactive on walks/ in public. She was extremely particular about which dogs she approved and even when she found one she'd be okay with, she often took quite a careful, long introduction to make it work. We went through behavioral training and made some progress, and I was able to take her on many adventures, even despite her still being a bit reactive. I learned a lot about dog behavior and socialization with her. Over the years we also rehab'd an ACL injury and recovery, and had to make life/ home/ meds modifications as she got older and needed some more senior dog TLC. I am happy to visit/ walk any dogs, behavioral "quirks" and all, as long as I know about their strengths, challenges, and how to support them, in advance. For boarding/ any care within my own home, I am only able to accept dogs that are excellent with young children and puppies. I have two dog-loving kids under age 5, and we have a super sweet lab puppy, so she is currently small, but growing fast! I'm a teacher, so my schedule varies based on the time of year! During the school year: I can do weekend walks, or dog sitting, ideally at my home, through the weekend. During the summer months: My schedule is flexible! I'm happy to do quick potty breaks for pups during the day, regular walks, filling in for random days if you have to work longer than usual, boarding/ dog sitting (again, ideally at my home since I have two little kids and my own puppy). I've always loved my pets as members of the family and I will give your pet all the love and care that I'd give my own! I am happy to follow any pre-established expectations and appreciate knowing anything that's going to help make my time with your pet as comfortable and fun for them as possible in your absence. I also love capturing adorable pictures of animals lounging, playing, etc. so I will definitely send pics during / after my visit if you want them! We allow our puppy on furniture, but I will of course follow any rules/ standard expectations that you have established for your pets and/or your home.

I love watching a variety of dogs ( small to large) and both of my dogs love to play with other dogs! For the dogs I have watched, I send daily photos and updates as needed. About: I’ve had dogs since I was a toddler. I currently have an almost 1-year old big goofy catahoula leopard/pitbull mix. I routinely dog sit for extended family and I have fostered for a local dog rescue. One of my favorite activities is taking a dog for a nice neighborhood walk or an active hike. If your dog comes here for a stay, they are treated as a member of the family. They’re welcome to lounge on the couch and we even love to bring them on outings with us if your dog would enjoy it. About: I’ve worked with dogs on and off for years but have had dogs all of my life. I have given played with big packs of pups and done solo play times as well. I have a flexible schedule that will let me have more availability for your fluffy friends to get out and play and exercise. I’m looking for a long term dog caring commitment to start off my new year. I am not able to do home care ( in my home) at this time. I do have two wonderful dogs who love to have play dates at puppy parks and go for long walks.

About: As a dog mom of three, I understand how important routine, safety, and trust are when someone else is caring for your dog. I provide in-home sitting, walks, and drop-in visits. I’ve cared for both large and small breeds, as well as puppies and senior dogs. I’m comfortable administering medications if needed. About: Aside from having a family dog for 15 years, I have house/pet-sitting experience working for family members and close friends since 2007. I have never met a pet I didn’t adore. I’m self-employed, which means very flexible hours. Weekends are not out of the question with notice. I always try to find ways to make scheduling work. About: I will provide a on-the-ready daycare/check-in service. Check in's will include play time engagement, spending time with them if they have been alone, walks, administer medicine if need be, and overall quality check in. I can provide these services at a moments notice with being local to Burlington, and can also provide these services over an extended period of time to suite your schedule. Daily check in's can last anywhere from 30 mins to one hour, depending on your needs. I work full time but my schedule is flexible. I have watched and cared for multiple family friends cats and dogs since my teens, as well as now helping colleagues watch their pets while traveling out of town. My experience ranges from the simple check in's; walks, playtime, feeding - to administering shots, ear spray, tic and flea medicine, etc. I currently work a hybrid schedule Mon-Thurs in office and half-day Fridays from home, moving back to full-day Friday's from home come fall. Even when in office, my schedule is flexible and I am out of work by 4pm, and can step out quick if need be throughout the day, making sudden pop-in visits easy for me. And making scheduled visits even easier. I live on a quieter street and my apartment is set back from the road, giving peace of mind when out on walks or in the yard. Crating is always an option if you are more comfortable and familiar with that.

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I’m also studying veterinary medicine, giving me a strong understanding of animal health and behavior. Over the years, I’ve dog sat for many families, caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I work part time and I have a yard and a full apartment where an animal could be very comfortable in. I’m very active and take many walks throughout the day. I have a lot of space in our home. A lot of space for a dog bed or crate to be in the bedroom or even sleep in the bed. I have a private yard that is set away from the street and other neighbors with friendly dogs. I follow each pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, walks, fresh food and water, and lots of love. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident their pet is happy and well cared for while they’re away.
