About: I have had many dogs over the years and have trained and cared for all ages and stages. I have experience with reactive dogs, resource guarding, post surgery care, wound care, and medication. I have medic training and am not squeamish when it comes to wounds or illnesses. Public meet ups take place at Ryder park in Dewitt or Canal Landing in Fayetteville. When requesting please provide date and times you are free to meet. I do not offer tours of my home. After a public meet up I can arrange a tour of the yard if needed. This is for safety of dogs and people. Taking a break from the 9-5 job and staying home hanging with the dogs. Have availability to take on a few more dogs due to the passing of my current clients pets. Dogs are unique with their own needs and boundaries. I have a fully fenced back yard that dogs can access using a doggy door. Each dog (or family if siblings want to be together) are booked into their own room that is set up for their specific needs. The dogs gets to decompress and given whatever space they need to be happy and relaxed. I have crates of every size if the dog needs one. I do not crate unless there is a safety concern. Dogs have free reign of the house and yard as long as I am home. If I am not home the dogs are in their rooms which are video monitored (maximum of ~4 hours). The rooms are closed off with gates so dogs have open view of hallways. I use TV or music to create background noise. Dogs do not interact without supervision and any dog introduction is done slowly and never forced. The house is large enough that should a conflict arise the dogs can be placed in separate levels of the house and not interact. When dogs stay with me I see them as my dogs and treat them as family.

About: Since 2014, I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for family, friends, and neighbors. I’ve stayed at other’s houses and have had the pets stay at mine too. I love animals and spending time with them. I had a dog of my own who passed in 2024, and was his primary caretaker. I’ve also nannied human kids aged 8-11 for 3 years. When spending time with pets I am there to be with them and love to play, go for walks, n provide them with proper stimulation and care. I've cared for a dog that would get seizures and provided her with medication and support while she was having them. I've cared for puppies and worked on both crate and potty training with them. I've also cared for older pups that needed a bit more relaxing time or special attention if they were blind or sick. About: I have cared for my own dog for the past 13 years and sadly he died in February 2025. I walked him around my neighborhood consistently for all those years and now having that routine gone is difficult. Before having him as my own, I also helped take care of my families dog for several years. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages and demeanors and all sizes too :) I am attending SUNY Cortland right now and that is the only large barrier in my weekly schedule. I can care and/or walk dogs after 7pm on Monday and Wednesdays. I am available after 4pm on Tuesday and Thursday. Friday and Saturday I can provide care all day with a days notice. Without notice I will most likely be working on Friday and therefore not available until after 4pm that day. I can house-sit on Fridays and Saturdays and into Sunday afternoon as well! I will maintain a safe and calm environment for your pet while caring for them and allow them to initiate any desired games or actions. About: Since I was young, I've always lived in a home with dogs. My experience tending to my family's pets (and farm-horses, sheep, and chickens!) gave me necessary experience and dedication to responsibility to house-sit and check in on other family friends' furry family members. I live in a home in Baldwinsville with a medium size yard that would be perfect for a short vacation for your dog (or dogs!)! I have summers mostly off, so if you're planning a summer mini-getaway or need someone to check in on or stay with your pup while you're gone for a night (or two!), I'm more than happy to help! I have experience dealing with older dogs who may need a little extra help getting outside or may need medication, so I also feel that the calm cozy environment I could offer them may be beneficial.

I am 58 years old and have extra time to take care of your pet. I don’t work a full time job anymore so I am available mostly anytime I am needed If you need me to stay in your home to care for your pet, I am respectful of your house and everything within it. I own my house and know the anxiety of leaving someone you don’t know in your home wondering what your home will look like when you get back. Your home will look exactly the same as it did when you left. Possibly even clear than when you left.
