Despite her rarely seeing our rescue tom, Mr Rockefeller, as this was the first time since we rescued him 3 years ago that we were leaving him 'alone,' she demonstrated enormous compassion and patience. Impressed that during our first, introductory meeting, she brought a little pillow of catnip so our cat could get accustomed to the smell of her (with the positive reinforcement of a 'nip buzz). The daily checkin with photo had us reassured, if not occasionally bemused (photographing the beta fish she also fed was easier than the cat, lol) and a lovely touch was her environmental conscientiousness in cleaning and setting aside each metal can of wet cat food for recycling -- a green soul after our own hearts! About: I have been caring for pets for friends and family for many years. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty when it comes to cleaning up pet messes. Plus I love sending photos to owners to assure them that their pets are happy and cared for. I am mostly available weeknights and weekends. I am currently working full-time, but I have the ability to check in on pets during the day if needed. Weekday mornings are usually a little busy for me. My experience with dogs are mainly of the bigger size (I had a pitbull/boxer mix and a pure bred chow chow).
