About: (Saying up front that I am not comfortable using a prong collar, so if that’s something you use on your dog, I don’t believe I’m a right fit for the service you want. Please don’t invite me to your home and surprise me with a prong collar—I will not use it on your dog.) Now here’s my bio: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

About: I grew up with pets. We had: cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. I then worked at a doggy daycare. My knowledge and experience is top knotch. About: Since I was young, I've always lived in a home with dogs. My experience tending to my family's pets (and farm-horses, sheep, and chickens!) gave me necessary experience and dedication to responsibility to house-sit and check in on other family friends' furry family members. I live in a home in Baldwinsville with a medium size yard that would be perfect for a short vacation for your dog (or dogs!)! I have summers mostly off, so if you're planning a summer mini-getaway or need someone to check in on or stay with your pup while you're gone for a night (or two!), I'm more than happy to help! I have experience dealing with older dogs who may need a little extra help getting outside or may need medication, so I also feel that the calm cozy environment I could offer them may be beneficial.
About: I’m missing my best friend of 13 years! For my 10th birthday I adopted a labradoodle puppy and was her main caregiver. I trained her and took her on long walks in Green Lakes State Park in Upstate NY (my hometown) her whole life. Now, I have a hole in my heart and would love to fill it with some new energy. I just started my new job as a Coastal Resiliency Planner and Environmental Engineer after graduate school in Europe for three years. Now I could use an excuse to exercise everyday! I have a long history of feeding, picking up poop, and giving medication as my dog got older. I can handle a strong dog on a walk, but also love setting them off leash in open areas (case by case basis).
