They aren't stuck in a cage laying on a cold concrete floor, like other places. Rosemarie genuinely loves and cares for the dogs that she watches. He communicated well with pics and updates during my dog's visit. During our initial meeting I felt an instant rapport he had with my dog that put me at ease. His home is VERY dog-centric! The visiting dogs are not confined and are free to mingle and find their own place to relax. There are ample dog beds, couches, human beds and floor space for lounging and sleeping. I especially appreciate that Ryan limits the number of dogs he boards at one time to a very small group, & makes sure they vibe well together beforehand. The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”

If desired, we have a tracker collar that gives us live updates of their location to ensure extra precautions. If your dog loves to run and play they will have play of space to do so! About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a child. I owned two Miniature Pinschers growing up and I adopted one Australian Shepherd mix that has special needs as an adult. I trained all of my dogs from the time they were puppies until they passed away as seniors. I also volunteered at the Humane Society of Westchester. I've always enjoyed being around animals since I was young and animals tend to feel the same way about me. Animals who are usually timid around strangers are comfortable around me right away and they seem to trust me right away. I feel like connecting with animals (dogs specifically) is a gift that I have. Being a sitter is a great way for me to use that gift in everyday life. New clients get a free 2027 desk calendar that has photos of my clients and my dog as well (check my photos for a preview). I'm able to adapt to the normal routine of the pets that I'm sitting in order to make the process as smooth as possible. I don't have a lot of room in my studio apartment so I'm only able to watch either 1-2 small dogs or one medium sized dog. Large dogs are too big for my apartment. If I'm at a client's home, I'll change my schedule to meet the needs of the pet. I believe all animals are unique and all have different needs in order to thrive in the environment that they're in. I'm willing to meet those needs by building my schedule around the animals that I'm sitting.

About: I have been an animal lover my whole life, but didn’t truly realize my appreciation for them until high school when I started pet sitting (over ten years ago!) I would watch my friends’ pets when they were on vacation, and felt compelled to make the pets’ stay with me a vacation as well 🐶😊. Since I started watching dogs I always considered them my PIC (partner in crime.). I take them with me on all my adventuress! They meet all my family and friends, and I have even taken a dog on a weekend trip to Block Island (with owners permission of course!) These days, I am home most of the day. I have a small business, which I run out of my home. I am home for majority of the day, but often have to step out for no more than 2 hours at a time. I typically give dogs 2 long walks (30-40 minutes) a day, and take them out in the yard and small walks down the street at least 5 times a day. They get potty breaks every 2-3 hours. I am a VERY active person. I am a marathon runner and avid hiker. No matter what your dog’s activity level is, I will be sure to tucker them out🐶😂. My typical morning and evening walk for dogs is a mile and a half around the reservoir trail in my back yard. I am more than happy to adjust to match your dog’s needs. I live on a small private street. My family and dear neighbors are all nearby. My large yard, close knit community, woods, reservoir trails and loving family truly is a paradise for dogs🐶😊❤️ My schedule varies every day. I can be in and out throughout the day, but never away from home for more than 2-3 hours at a a time. I am typically home for the day by 3pm. Some days I am home all day! It really depends on the week. I live alone and have no pets. I live in a private street with lots of land to explore. I never take dogs off leash when we are outside.

About: Ive had multiple pets as long as ive been alive both cats and dogs! In high school I volunteered with a small dog adoption center in New Hampshire called Mary's dogs, where I worked with older dogs and puppy's in need of homes. I also took and animal science class in my Junior year and was dog CPR certified. I know basic animal first aid as well. Overall I absolutely adore animals of any kind and am willing to work with any pets! This is currently my only job, so I am available almost any time to spend time with and take care of your fuzzy family members. But if you want someone who will treat your pet like a misunderstood genius or a retired diplomat, we’re going to get along great! I am retired so I have a flexible schedule! I can go during the day or stay overnight at your home. Whichever you feel most comfortable with would work! When I come to your house, besides walking/feeding, I do waste cleanup as well. Of course, playing is a must! I will definitely send photos and videos so you know how your furry family member is feeling!

I also am close to a dog friendly park where all dogs are on leashes. I will not take a dog off leash when he/she is in my care. My experience administering medication Yes with my kennel experience, I am very comfortable administering medication. I am also comfortable administering shots for dogs and cats. I am a full time pet care provider and a dog walker and i have been training dogs of all breeds for the last 30 years. He does watch multiple dogs at the same time but we were happy with the socialization for our pups. We had a meet and great ahead of time so I think Rich screens the dogs for temperament. Huge fenced in yard with double gate to prevent slipping out. I wouldn’t hesitate to send my pups back to Rich!”
“Ryan EXCEEDED my expectations! He has an intuitive way with dogs. He is very knowledgable about dogs & dog behavior. Ryan is the real deal-- a true animal lover & kind, decent human being. He communicated well with pics and updates during my dog's visit. During our initial meeting I felt an instant rapport he had with my dog that put me at ease. His home is VERY dog-centric! The visiting dogs are not confined and are free to mingle and find their own place to relax. There are ample dog beds, couches, human beds and floor space for lounging and sleeping. I especially appreciate that Ryan limits the number of dogs he boards at one time to a very small group, & makes sure they vibe well together beforehand. The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”
