My first job was as an Animal Care Technician with the Humane Society, and I later worked at a military veterinary clinic for more than five years. Caring for animals isn’t just a job for me, it’s something I’ve been passionate about since childhood. I’ve always had pets of my own and have rescued many animals over the years. To me, pets are family, not just animals. When your pet stays with me, my home becomes their home. My dog, Zeke and I had a companion kind of relationship, built on mutual respect and happiness; it's something I wouldn't have traded for the world. He sadly passed away in October 2025 after 12 years together, so it would be an understatement to say I'm more than happy to pour extra love to your pup. My wife and I have twin boys who are all grown up and out of the house. As a result of this I have become a little bored. I would appreciate your consideration when deciding on who to entrust the care of your pet while you are away. You will be able to be rest assured that they are being taken care of. I am usually available all the time except for the occasional vacation I might go on. Weekends are no problem either. I am pretty much available year round. I like to hang out with my dog all day. Adding more animals to the mix is no problem. I like taking walks with them and I also have a fenced yard.

About: I’ve grown up with Chinchillas, Cats, Dogs, Ducks, Chickens, & Reptiles. My Fiancé & I currently have 3 Cats (they love dogs- but if any issues - can be kept separate in their cat room to create a more comfortable stay for any pet that doesn’t like cats), between me & my partner- someone is always home to give attention to & play with pets. (Aside from when we go to the store or doctors appointments). Your pets will get the best care!!! Someone will always be home with your pets, either I am home or when I’m at work my fiancé Deanne is home & is also a huge animal lover. The only times someone isn’t home is when we’re grocery shopping or at an appointment. We have the rail trail right in our backyard that goes for miles- it’s a great trail to take dog walks on! We usually do that or use tie outs or the dogs leashes in our yard since we don’t have a fenced in yard, but your pets are never left unattended on the tie-outs, someone will be outside with them at all times

As far as training animals, I did grow up with having to train them so I do have some experience. Sarah and Aaron (and family) took amazing care of our pupper and I'm sure she was likely a bit sad as we drove away when picking her up The peace of mind knowing she was taken care of as a full fledge (visiting) family member meant everything to us. “I highly recommend boarding with Maggie. I have relied on her for dog boarding for several years, since my dog was a puppy. He is prone to stress induced tummy troubles from my longer trips away, but Maggie always takes extra care to ensure he’s happy, comfortable, and cared for—and consequently he’s had no issues from boarding for quite some time. I trust and recommend her care, and my dog is always excited to see her at drop off (which I take as a strong indicator of his comfort level there). I’ve also had spontaneous adjustments to travel plans occur (e.g. cancelled return flights), and Maggie has been flexible in adjusting accommodations as needed and overall has been a great help in reducing the stress that comes with those scenarios.”
