“Melissa is a true saint! My family was on a 2.5 week road trip with our 11 month old Akita puppy, Frida, when we decided to make a stop a the Great Blue Heron festival in Sherman, NY. Being on the road and leaving our puppy with a stranger seemed intimidating, especially considering her shy nature, but Melissa was great! Frida was very reserved with Melissa at first, but eventually warmed up. Melissa sent pictures and videos that showed she was having a great time. She went above and beyond to make sure Frida had access to activities that she enjoyed and even set up play dates with other young dogs. I am so so grateful we found Melissa and we were able to leave our pup with someone who put so much love and care into her time with Frida.”

About: My whole life I was never able to have pets up until two years ago which is when I got my first girl, Jojo. She changed my life completely and so I had to get her a sister. My love for them is unmatched and even though I don’t have training what I do have is unconditional love and plenty of free time. I recently resigned from my job so I do not have a work schedule to work around so I am able to give my pets as well as yours all the attention and care that they need. I do have a fenced yard so if they need to go outside for potty or play there is no risk of them running off. I also two dogs at home as previously mentioned but I do have a dog gate inside if your pet needs some alone time. I separate my dogs during meal times and sometimes just to give individual attention. Both my dogs are girls and they are sweet and very playful.

About: I have "officially" been petsitting consistently since 2022, but I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses as pets and my love for animals has never waned. Currently I own 2 goldendoodles and they are my "kids". Pets/services I have experience with and are willing to offer are: -Dogs (large & small), cats (house & barn), horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, chickens, pigs, goats -Administering medications, eye & ear drops, supplements, and special foods for special diets -Staying overnight in clients' homes to care for pets in their usual, comfortable environments (I do not board pets in my own home) -Dropping into clients' homes to feed, let out, and/or just play with their pets or keep them company! -Light cleaning/tidying up around clients' homes, as I always like to leave them looking even better after I stay there. I work a full-time job in downtown Jamestown, NY Monday-Friday, usually between the hours of 10:00am-6:00pm, but these hours can be flexible at times. I also work occasional shifts at a horse farm, typically 1-3 times a week for anywhere from 2-5 hours per shift. This leaves me with the following (generally consistent) availability for pet care for my Rover clients: -Monday-Friday: Early morning feedings & check-ins; midday feedings & check-ins (if located within 15 minutes of downtown Jamestown); evening feedings, check-ins, & social interaction/hanging out once I am done with my full-time job for the day. I am even open to staying overnight in a client’s home on weeknights to ensure I am providing the best pet care I can while juggling my full-time job. -Weekends: I can typically hang around in a client’s home with your pets all day Saturday and Sunday, or I can just stop by for feedings & check-ins throughout the day. I can also typically stay overnight in a client’s home Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. I am willing to work to tweak my schedule as much as I can within my means, in order to meet the needs of my clients and their pets. :) I prefer to only care for my clients' pets in their own home since pets are typically most comfortable in their usual environments. As long as I am at a client's home, pets will receive more than just the minimum care and attention they require. About: I am a full time vet tech with experience with all types of pets (dogs, cats, pocket pets, etc). I also used to work at a dog daycare part time. My whole career is based around caring for animals, and that's what I love to do most! I also have 2 dogs and a cat of my own. I am available to do walks and check ins on my days off from working my other job. My schedule varies but I can be relatively flexible depending on what is needed. With enough notice, I can adjust my routine as needed to accommodate to your pets' needs. I can not allow other pets into my house due to possessive behavior from my dogs. About: I have had dogs all my life and spent over 20 years as a Pet Groomer both in a shop and mobile. I have had continued education in cat grooming, dog grooming, skin care, etc. I specialized in senior and anxiety dogs. I have had upward of 9 dogs at one time and they did not all get along. I have also owned a diabetic dog. I also have a Reiki background. Currently I am retired from pet grooming and I own another business that is seasonal therefore my schedule is pretty flexible and my availability is pretty open too. I have a small fenced yard in a low traffic community that is good for walks too. I am familiar with crate training and can accommodate that if needed. I also have gates if access needs to be limited to parts of my house. Example, I do have stairs and can block them if pet is unable to do stairs.

I love all animals and would love to be considered for any pet care needs! I currently am working part time but am home most of the time. When I am home, the dogs and I play inside and out. Your pets won’t go more than 4 hours alone. I have a mostly fenced in yard for us to go out and play in. I have one older dog to keep yours company and I have one cat who minds his business and doesn’t bother dogs.

About: Well I am sure everyone on this pawesome app is an avid animal lover, so what sets me apart from the rest? I am an animal enthusiast with many years of various experience under my belt. After growing up a child who loved all creatures and filled her time with animal drawings and paintings, in college I decided to become a certified Puppy Raiser through Guiding Eyes for the Blind, a non-profit internationally accredited guide dog school. It is not a title given out to anyone, I completed the required education and am recognized as a trainer. I have raised/trained a total of one guide dog candidate named Jester. I had him for a total of 14 months. During my experience, I was responsible for all of his health, exercise, food, education and happiness. I also participated in puppy-swaps with other dogs in the program and sometimes I took care of multiple dogs at once. I plan on raising many guide dogs in my future! This program gave me a lot of experience with crate training/acceptance for puppies along with basic obedience skills, and house manners all acquired using positive reinforcement and "puppy parties". You can trust me to take the best care of your dog and well as instill manners with training methods similar to guide dog education. I have always been around dogs and I pride myself in knowing how to adjust to their needs. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I have a lot of experience with older, "geriatric" dogs. My first dog I ever adopted was 12 years old! I know how to keep them comfortable and monitor them carefully while you are away. I previously worked at a small animal veterinary hospital for 5 years, which gave me plenty of experience around all types of animals. I was responsible for all of their needs while they stayed at the hospital; including medicating and and monitoring after a long stay or surgery. I took pride in myself with my ability to keep them clean, safe, healthy, and happy. This position also gave me crucial experience in emergency medicine along with proper judgment when it comes to sick or injured animals.
About: Hi I’m Jenna! I am a huge dog lover, and animal lover in general. My family has had golden retrievers all my life, and I’ve always loved having a companion. Every dog I meet is loved like my own, they really are the best friends we can have! All ages of dogs are in my life and even cats as well. Everyday I am taking care of my own family dogs, so pet care has always been important to me. I’m currently looking to groom, and take care of animals full time. I can take them outside, on walks mostly or if a fenced in yard is at your home I will be out there playing and making sure they are taken care of. “Melissa is a true saint! My family was on a 2.5 week road trip with our 11 month old Akita puppy, Frida, when we decided to make a stop a the Great Blue Heron festival in Sherman, NY. Being on the road and leaving our puppy with a stranger seemed intimidating, especially considering her shy nature, but Melissa was great! Frida was very reserved with Melissa at first, but eventually warmed up. Melissa sent pictures and videos that showed she was having a great time. She went above and beyond to make sure Frida had access to activities that she enjoyed and even set up play dates with other young dogs. I am so so grateful we found Melissa and we were able to leave our pup with someone who put so much love and care into her time with Frida.”
About: Hi there, I’m Maddie! I grew up with animals and now have two dogs of my own. I volunteer once a week at my local humane society and have had experience fostering.
