About: I have cared for my own dog for the past 13 years and sadly he died in February 2025. I walked him around my neighborhood consistently for all those years and now having that routine gone is difficult. Before having him as my own, I also helped take care of my families dog for several years. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages and demeanors and all sizes too :) I am attending SUNY Cortland right now and that is the only large barrier in my weekly schedule. I can care and/or walk dogs after 7pm on Monday and Wednesdays. I am available after 4pm on Tuesday and Thursday. Friday and Saturday I can provide care all day with a days notice. Without notice I will most likely be working on Friday and therefore not available until after 4pm that day. I can house-sit on Fridays and Saturdays and into Sunday afternoon as well! I will maintain a safe and calm environment for your pet while caring for them and allow them to initiate any desired games or actions. I am willing to accommodate however you prefer for your dog when caring for them, just let me know of anything necessary :) Any questions or concerns for your dog's care are welcomed and appreciated as I prefer a heads up in advance of anything unusual or to keep an eye out/for. Thanks :)
“Molly and Nik took excellent care of my dog! They sent daily photos of their adventures together and it brought me so much joy to see Dodger having a great time with Molly’s two dogs. I will absolutely book them again when we are out of town. Dodger had such a great time! Thank you again!”

About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I can handle the most challenging of dogs down to little babies and everything in between. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention when I'm around! I give all dogs the same love and affection I would give my own dog and see the importance of cuddle and buddy time along with good exercise. I show confidence when I'm with a dog so that they know there is trust with me from the beginning. I currently work part time, so have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby. I am always available after 3:00 p.m. during the week, before 8:00 a.m. or anytime on the weekends. I've got a very pet friendly home. I live in a single story, ranch house that has a fully fenced back yard. I do not have children at home that we would need to worry about and I'm very respectful if needed to go into a client's home. Safety and security are always at the forefront.
“Yakelin has been a super lovely and caring dog sitter for my fur baby, Tonton. She and her family all shared a lot of love and care for my dog. We appreciate their attention to my dog’s medical conditions, and frequent updates with videos and pictures. The love and warmth we received from her and family is highly appreciated!”

“Absolutely love Marisol! She’s sweet, caring, nurturing, and holds a safe space for our puppy. Zero complaints about her service and will continue to book her as much as we can.”

“Tia is absolutely fantastic! She and her family took such great care of our dog. This is the third time we’ve left her with Tia and have had a great experience every time. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind while away. Highly recommend Tia to anyone looking for reliable and compassionate pet care!”

“Meghan was awesome, she took great care of my dog and kept me updated throughout the stay, she's also a great photographer so you'd get nice shots of your pets, a 100% recommended.”

“Courtney did a great job taking care of our 4 kitties. Even our extremely anxious ones were fond of her, which speaks volumes! We would definitely use her services again in the future.”
“Jillian did an amazing job with my dog Oakley. On the 1st day Oakley was unsure of her and giving her a hard time. Jillian suggested taking the visit down to 30 mins from an hour so it wasn’t to much for him. She did not give up on Oakley and was very patient until he was more comfortable with her. By the end of the week he was much more comfortable and excited to see her”

“My very shy cat opened up to her very quickly. She leaves very thorough updates and takes a lot of nice pictures. She always makes sure we are on the same page with care, etc.”

“Lee is a fantastic sitter! She is very responsive to all communications and goes out of her way to be helpful in any way. She obviously loves animals and truly enjoys caring for them. She did a great job in following all instructions provided and spent a good deal of time giving our kitty lots of pets while we were gone. We will definitely rebook Lee in the future!”

“Jessica is just the sweetest! She was so wonderful with our kitties, I could tell by the pictures that they love her!! Next time we go away, we will be requesting Jessica!!!!!!!”

“This was the first time we used Nora and she was awesome. My dogs immediately took to her. She kept them busy doing all the things they love, which includes exploring outdoors and playing hard. We will definitely use Nora again.”

“Kristen was great! She gave me regular updates and took pictures of my cats so I knew how they were doing. It was such a relief to know that they were well taken care of and in good hands while I was away. Even my shy cat warmed up to her!”

About: Growing up, I’ve always had so many pets. My family has always seemed to attract strays, and I always loved to be involved in taking care of them. I’ve had and taken care of many different breeds and ages of cats and dogs. I currently own 3 cats and take care of my moms dog often. I was on Rover for a while after covid and am now looking for some extra income post-grad. I work remote so will be around and available during work hours! I am not currently working so I can be available on demand to take care of your pets! My schedule is very light in order to give them the attention and care they need. In my home, my pets are treated like my own children. Only pet owners know the feeling! To keep pets healthy, you have to keep them happy. Many people only think taking care of pets is feeding, giving them water, changing the litter, but pets love to feel appreciated! Walking them, playing with them, it’s all very important, and I want to offer this for your pets.

“Kimberly was amazing! Her communication was great, she sent pictures of every walk along with a map of where they went, and overall she took wonderful care of our dog Fitz. We are so glad to have found her! :)”

“Pam did an amazing job with my 3 kitties. She sent pictures with all of the updates, and was even able to win over the shy guy of the bunch. Will continue to book in the future.”

I love all kinds of animals and am ready to take care of yours! I'm currently off for the summer as I work for a school district, so I typically am available most days ! I'll try my best to update days I'm unavailable. I currently have two golden retrievers. One is a puppy, and the other is 10 years old. I do not currently have a fenced in yard.

About: I have two boy cats and one of them has experienced kidney stones. I have had to administer liquid and pill medicine many times. I maintain litter boxes daily and I always spoil my boys with the best food toys and treats. I also know how to fend off food fiends. Playtime is my favorite time I try to mix things up and provide something new for them to experience every day.

“Fourth time using Kristen and she’s just as great as the first time I used her. She’s so good with the boys and even offered to do another feeding session given the bad weather. She’s definitely my go-to!”

About: I have always had a way with animals. They seem able to feel the peace and caring in me so that aren’t afraid.I am personable and genuinely care for people and animals . I am 58 years old and have extra time to take care of your pet. I don’t work a full time job anymore so I am available mostly anytime I am needed If you need me to stay in your home to care for your pet, I am respectful of your house and everything within it. I own my house and know the anxiety of leaving someone you don’t know in your home wondering what your home will look like when you get back. “Hi there! This was my very first time using Rover and I was certainly very nervous to entrust my little guy with a new sitter since our recent move! However, Alex was fabulous ! He is everything you could want and more from a sitter and from a caregiver to your furry friends/family. Alex is extremely responsive, he arranged for at least 2 visits to meet my cat Oliver and to review schedule, questions, concerns, diet etc. Before actually starting the pet sitting. He got to know Oliver and his demeanor, and my cat took to Alex right away. Alex is gentle, playful and affectionate and you can see that he genuinely cares. I always worry when returning back from a trip about how Oliver may be and how my home may look, and Alex took such great care of my cat and my home looks just as I left it. I now feel comfortable going on more trips to see loved ones and I couldn't have done this without Alex.”

“Paige housesitted for a week. She was very communicative and proactive in Elle's care. I had just moved to the area and Paige was understanding of the moving boxes still around. The apartment was left clean and Elle was clearly very comfortable with Paige.”

About: Though my years of cat care experience are less than my years of dog care experience, I have taken care of numerous cats in those years, including feeding, administering medications, cleaning litter boxes and sharing love with all of the precious kitties I have met! :)
“Amanda is absolutely wonderful and oh so sweet! My cat will typically hide on anyone that’s looking after him while I am away… not this time. He trusted her right from the start, which speaks volumes. The daily updates / photos that she sent me helped immensely too. I highly recommend Amanda, she is undoubtedly the best. If you’re looking for someone that will love your kitty as much as you, she is your girl!”

“Our dogs were well cared for and tired out when we picked them up! Extra attention was given to special dietary instructions for one of them and pick up and drop off was efficient. We were glad to use them again and know they were in good hands!”

“Susan had been watching our dog, Ivy, since she was a puppy and I can’t say enough about how much love and care she has received. Susan treats Ivy like her very own and showers her with affection. Whether it’s for a day or a week’s stay, I highly recommend her!”

“Mariana delivered excellent care for my dog, Farley. She is well-versed and very passionate about her care. Farley is still adjusting to his new home here and I was very lucky to find Mariana as she is perfect for my dog’s needs when I have to be out of town without him. Throughout the day she sent me videos and pictures updating what they were doing and how his behavior was. This makes me feel that he’s getting the exclusive care deserved for service. I feel as though he is not only being with a sitter, but a professional tending specifically to my pup. She is knowledgeable and understanding of him, and what seems to be all pets she’s looked after. I highly suggest to contact Mariana if you ever need care for your pet. Her enthusiasm, charisma and care is unmatched. I have already rebooked and plan to do so upon her availability in the future! Woof Woof Bark, -Farley☘️🐾”

About: Having been through a fairly traumatic dog attack myself, I made it my mission to learn all about dog's behavior and why they do what they do. I have studied different ways of training and learning how to react to certain situations with them. I promise to love and give all the fun play time, cuddle time, and attention to your favorite furry friend! Your doggy can sleep in my bed and hang out on the couch. If you are anything like me, your dog is your best friend and child! I had an amazing female Boston Terrier who lived to 13 1/2. I am versed in care of elderly dogs. My new venture is a deaf puppy. We are learning hand signals for training. He is very friendly and loves to make new friends. If you have any questions about what I'm willing to do, or can and can't do, please don't hesitate to ask me! I work for a family business, and can bring my dog to work. Therefore, your pup will be able to come to work with me! I will love your baby as if it was my own. Dogs will always be leashed outside. They are allowed on furniture here and are welcome to snuggle anytime! But if you have different rules , please tell me so I can abide by them.
“Tofu got to spend time with Brent—booked last minute for a forgotten work meeting—and even went for a ride in the car! She came home safe, clean, and happy. We absolutely trust Brent with our girl!”

“Our usual sitter Chelsea was unavailable and recommended Marisol. Isla loved her time with Marisol and Benito! This is the first real off leash (fenced in yard) play she's had with a dog closer to her size and she loved it. They really made her feel welcome and taken care of and all that play left her tuckered out. We even got ideas for a couple new toys for her.”

“Cassandra did a great job walking our dog. She was flexible in her scheduling and timely in her responses. Due to the hot weather, she wisely provided water and shade breaks which I appreciated. Thank you Cassandra, I will use you again in the future!”

About: What sets me apart is my experience working with dogs of all personalities and needs, especially reactive dogs and strong pullers. I have completed training with my own reactive chocolate lab through Justin’s Canine Campus, along with continuing training work at home, which has taught me patience, consistency, and how to read dog behavior closely. As a teacher, I’m dependable, calm, and attentive, and I naturally bring those qualities into caring for pets. I’ve loved animals since I was young and also continue to volunteer at animal shelters (Helping Hounds & HumaneCNY) giving me experience with dogs who may need extra patience, structure, or reassurance. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. As a teacher, I have summers off and will soon be working part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, playtime, and quality attention. During the school year, I’m also an early bird and start my mornings with an average 2-mile walk with my own dog, so staying active and keeping pets on a routine is something I truly enjoy. I care for every pet as if they were my own and always focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In a client’s home, I try to keep pets on their normal routine with feeding, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and plenty of attention and affection. I also make sure their space stays clean and that they feel calm while their owners are away.
“Pam is very friendly impersonal. I’ve been using her regularly now for many weeks and she always fulfills her commitments and lets me know ahead of time of any changes in her schedule. She also tends to be somewhat flexible and communicates very well.”

“Jessica was always on time and was able to be flexible when I needed. She followed all instructions exceptionally well and the dogs loved her, I look forward to having her take care of them again”

“Nicole is amazing. From the very start she was reliable with messages and prompt in showing up to my home. My dog Toto just adored her. He willingly left for his walk, tail wagging, on each occasion. I would highly recommend Nicole for animal care. She is a gem!!”

“Maddie is wonderful! We had a lovely meet and greet on Friday and she walked my dog Monday midday while I was at work. Definitely will be a repeat customer. Thanks again girl!”

I've taken care of an array of animals since I was a kid from hamsters to dogs to little frogs! I currently have a 2.5 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix who I've worked with through several training classes. I'm happy to help and follow through with current trainings you are working with your pup on while I interact with them. I'm able to remove ticks and have a first aid kit always on had and a base medicinal understanding and can administer medication if needed. I'm also doggy and human first aid certified (American Red Cross). Does your dog have a special diet? Bon appetit, I'll be sure to get them their right food at the right time! Senior dogs need love too, I'll be patient and we can take a nice and easy stroll or take a little car ride! We also have a large basement with room to run there too. In your home, I follow your rules and will respect your privacy. Please inform me of any specific requirements in your home or anything I should be aware of. I will act professionally and respectfully, just like I would ask someone if they were entering my home. I am flexible so just let me know of anything and I can adapt!

If i could have kept them all I would have but I had to make room for the next fur baby in need. I currently work full-time as a RN but have the opportunity to work from home on a regular basis. Animals with special needs are also not a problem for me! I’ve cared for multiple cats and dogs with special needs including diabetes, manual bladder expressions, and mobility/paralysis issues. I’m currently home from college for the summer (Vet Tech Student) and am looking for jobs that allow me to keep working around animals during this time! I follow instructions given by the owner and often send pictures as updates of how the babies are doing! I can crate, walk, feed, water, play with, and bathe animals (if needed). I also can trim nails if asked! I can send pictures after as proof I didn’t quick them to ensure safety and trust between both you and I, as well as your pet and I!
About: I’ve been around pets my whole life and genuinely love all animals. I had my first cat at age 4 and grew up with both cats and dogs. I also lived with a rescued pit bull for several years (she had a rough past and didn’t do well around other dogs), so I have some experience with anxious pups on walks. I understand how important it is to build trust and work at a pet’s pace. Whether your pet is social and playful or a bit shy and needs space, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at and give them the best care possible. Even with a full-time job in finance, I make time for what matters—and for me, that includes animals. I work a standard weekday schedule, but my evenings and weekends are all open for pet care. The flexibility of my job may allow for a late morning - early afternoon check-in. Whether its a walk, evening check-in, or weekend drop-ins, I’m happy to build a schedule that fits your pet’s needs. I also spend most of my downtime at home, so if your pets need longer visits, I can give them plenty of attention and company. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and committed to keeping your pet’s routine as normal and comforting as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely—whether it’s feeding, medications, walking schedules, or just the way your pet likes their favorite toy tossed. I know every animal is different, and I take the time to get to know their personality and needs. If we arrange care in my home, your pet will be treated like one of my own. I have a calm, pet-friendly space and three cat companions who are used to other animals and are gentle and well-socialized. I always do a slow introduction and only bring in pets that I know will be comfortable in that environment. Safety and comfort are my top priorities, whether I’m in your home or you're trusting your pet with mine.

“The Huijun family provided excellent care for Snow. They kept me updated daily with photos and videos, maintained prompt and clear communication, and were very accommodating with drop-off and pickup times. Their flexibility made our travel experience much smoother. Definitely will choose them again. Highly recommend!”

“Lindsey was amazing with my dog, Teddy! He had such a great time on her farm — it truly felt like a little vacation for him. She took wonderful care of him and kept me updated with fantastic photos and detailed messages about how he was doing. I really appreciated the communication and felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. I would happily recommend Lindsey to anyone and will definitely book with her again in the future!”

“Rachel was excellent!! She sent me so many photos of Betty having a good time with her dog, as well some content of Betty lounging around with her kids. I felt at ease my whole trip because I could tell my dog was cared for and most of all, happy. I would for sure book with Rachel again!”

“It appears Nicholas enjoyed his time with Mary too much! He has been moping around the house getting used to a home without more people and pets. It was great receiving daily pictures and the care couldn’t have been more loving. I will definitely try to book with Mary whenever I travel in the future.”

“Ginger had such a good time - she couldn’t decide if she wanted to stay or come home! Wonderful family, home, and care. Flexible sitters. Will return!”

“Meghan was awesome, she took great care of my dog and kept me updated throughout the stay, she's also a great photographer so you'd get nice shots of your pets, a 100% recommended.”

“Maya was such an attentive and caring dog sitter!! We felt so comfortable leaving our pup with her. Our dog can be a little shy at first, but with Maya she instantly felt at home. Maya was very communicative and made sure our pup was given lots of attention. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring stay for their pup!”

“Tana was great with our older golden retriever, I would highly recommend to anyone. Was responsive, sent lots of pictures and updates; we could tell he was well cared for and got lots of love!!!!”
“Wow! I left my 6 month puppy with Jaclyn and he was FAR from angelic. She was patient and even gave him multiple baths when he ate a bottle off the counter and got an upset stomach. I highly recommend!”

“Riley had a wonderful day! I received a video and pictures throughout the day. Matt and Ashley are very responsive. Riley loved playing with the two resident dogs and another guest pup. I felt confident leaving Riley because I knew she would be well taken care of. I highly recommend Matt and Ashley.”

About: I have over 10 years of hands-on professional dog care experience working in dog daycares, boarding kennels, and grooming facilities in both Colorado and New York. I’ve managed large daycare playgroups of 15–20 dogs, monitored interactions, redirected rough play, and maintained calm, structured environments. One of our daily staff challenges involved having an entire group line up and hold a sit at the same time—something I was proud to accomplish more than once. I also worked at a boarding and grooming kennel in Durango, CO owned by a competitive dog-show handler with extremely high standards. Because staff was small, I gained extensive one-on-one experience with dogs of all breeds and temperaments, including nail trims (even nervous dogs), coat-specific brushing, ear and dental care, bathing, drying, and boarding routines. I also handled front-desk responsibilities, scheduling, and check-ins. At home, I live with two very friendly dogs of my own—Cooper, a beagle, and Tucker, an Australian Shepherd–beagle mix. They are social, affectionate, and almost always carrying a ball around the house. We play daily enrichment games such as hide-and-seek: I’ll have them wait in another room while I hide their balls or bedtime treats, and when I let them out, them they make a mad dash to look for them. It’s one of their favorite parts of the day and a fun way to keep them moving and engaged when it's too cold outside or when I'm doing things around the house. Our home is fully set up for boarding with a large fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor play, plus a dedicated dog-care nook stocked with harnesses, leashes, winter jackets, brushes, and treats. Living with my own dogs full-time means I’m experienced with routines, energy management, introductions, and helping new pups feel comfortable quickly. Cooper and Tucker enjoy meeting new friends, and I carefully supervise all group play. What truly drives me is how much joy dogs bring into everyday life, which is why I chose to follow that passion into my career. Being around happy, healthy dogs is contagious in the best way, and creating an environment where they feel safe, loved, and excited to be here is what I aim for every day. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I’m home often and structure my days around indoor and outdoor playtime, enrichment activities, meals, and rest breaks. Dogs in my care receive plenty of attention, supervised yard time, and companionship throughout the day rather than being left alone for long stretches. I’m available for in-home boarding and extended stays, and I plan my schedule to make sure every dog gets consistent care, exercise, and individual attention. My home is fully set up for dogs, with a large fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor play and plenty of space indoors to relax. I live with two friendly dogs, Cooper and Tucker, and always supervise interactions, and group play. I live with my mother, so she may be around occasionally but it is only me who will be looking after and taking care of the pups. She is aware of my services and is happy to open the home to more dogs for sitting and more pals for Cooper and Tucker! I follow each dog’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, medication instructions, and preferred activity levels. Dogs can be separated for meals or downtime if needed, and I’m comfortable using crates or quiet spaces based on what makes them feel most secure. We also have a dedicated dog-care nook stocked with harnesses, leashes, winter jackets, brushes, and treats so guests are always prepared for Syracuse weather. Cleanliness, hygiene, and calm handling are priorities here. You’ll receive regular photo updates and messages so you can feel confident your pup is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away(:
“Sarah was wonderful! We received update photos every day and our pup came home clearly well cared for and happy after over a week of being away. We were worried about our small dog being around her larger ones, but she arranged a meet and greet prior to taking King Tut. Her dogs were sweet and gentle with him. During the week we got photos of all three happily cuddled together. Would recommend Sarah S. and would definitely return should we need a dog-sitter!”

“Lisa and Jon took care of my dog for a full week and they were excellent. Great communication, and regular updates with pictures, and our dogs seemed to get along great. We had no issues and I’ll definitely be coming back to Lisa and Jon the next time I have to leave town :)”
