She enjoys long walks with her dog friends and playing with her human brothers and sisters. Scrappy is a 14 year old Westie/ Bischon Frise mix who enjoys snuggles from his family and his bed. He is blind but navigates and acts like he can see. I did have a third fur baby that crossed the rainbow bridge last year as he lost his fight with cancer. About: I have been dog sitting for a couple years already, I love to dog watch and have 2 fur babies of my own! Both of my dogs are predominantly pit bull so I am super comfortable handling bigger dogs or even dogs with attitudes. Family friends trust me to care for their pets while they are gone and I will always care for other pets as if they are my own. I love animals and if theres any other animals other than cats or dogs feel free to reach out! I used to have ball python and also know how to care for reptiles. For many years we shared our home with Lucy who was a diabetic rescue We educated ourselves on her special needs including insulin injections. Rainy days were spent curled up on the sofa, and there were treats too. There were walks in the forest and by the river, which Maddie loves. Maddie clearly enjoyed her 3 days, enabling us to sight see in NYC without worry. Generously, Barbara dropped us at the rail station when she collected Maddie, and picked us up again. She was really flexible with my dates, which I couldn’t confirm until the last minute, and even then had to alter them. She was also friendly, chatty and warm, a pleasure to meet her.”

About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with cats, but most of my family had dogs, so I have always been around them. This love for animals also got me into the veterinary field, which I have 6 years experience in. I have years of experience walking, handling, and playing with dogs and now have the experience to give oral medications or injections if needed. I currently don’t have any dogs, but I do have 2 cats. During my day I always make sure I wake up early enough to feed them and clean the litter box. After coming home from work, I feed them dinner and spend some time brushing and playing with them. I then clean the litter box before going to bed and repeat the next day. In my home, I have installed screen doors on the entry doors to prevent my cats from escaping but so they also can see the outside activity. I have socket covers to prevent them from playing in it and make sure to cover all wires so they don’t think they are toys.

“David was THE BEST!! I left my dog in David's care for two weeks and I never had a single moment of worry or doubt. He was a thoughtful, dedicated sitter who went above and beyond. My dog Charlie has trauma/aggression issues that make it hard for me to feel safe leaving him with a sitter, but David was extremely attentive and extremely careful. And when my dog got finicky with anxiety and didn't want to touch his meals, David went the extra mile with treats and enticements to keep him eating regularly. Charlie was in the best hands around.
