About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

About: I've never understood the "cat person versus dog person" rivalry because I grew up with and love them both! I currently live with two cats and their personalities are completely different even though they are both females and look alike! I enjoy slowly building trust with cats by respecting their boundaries. I love to play and cuddle with cats, but I never force a cat to do anything they don't want to do, which helps them open up to me. I see how cats thrive when I am calm and give them a regular routine.
About: I’ve had a family dog forever! Family and friends are always asking to take care of their pets for a quick walk, potty or dinner. I have my own dog that I take care of so I know how much someone can love their dog as if it’s their child. Your pet will be in good hands! I teach so I am off for the summers. I can drop in over the summer and walk your dog if you’re on a day trip hiking or to the beach! Your dog can even play with mine at a dog park if they get along, she’s up to date on shots and is very friendly! My favorite thing is to be home with my dogs on the weekend so most likely the shortest amount of time your pup(s) will be home without a human is 2-4 hours max. When I am home, the dogs are my first priority, with many walks, brushing, massage and pampering included in each visit! If your pup needs a bath and is well-behaved in the tub, I'd love to freshen them up! (I do not cut nails). All of my pups are on flea and tick prevention year round. Please reach out if you have any questions! I am home all day during the summer months so I can watch your pup 24/7! I have older pups who love to chill and a younger golden who loves to run around and play so whatever kind of dog you have they should fit right in. No aggressive dogs please! We just got a new doggie pool for the heat, and have a pop up agility course to play in.Parks nearby is Knox farm, memorial Park, BurchField and more. About: I used to dog walk a couple dogs. Then I moved onto horses. So I know I can handle the hardest canines. They’re fun to have around. I’m working but also just thinking about doing this instead. Work gets boring and this wouldn’t. I love animals and they tend to love me back. I have a giant yard. They can’t be off leash but we can have fun running in the grass. About: I grew up with cats and my best friend had dogs. I would always help her take care of them and took care of cats as my best friends. When I met my fiancé he had a 5 year old beagle and I fell even more in love with dogs. My dream one day is to open a senior dog sanctuary, but until then, I will take care of my own dogs and help others care for theirs! About: I grew up with a dog until I was 18 (Westie - Minnie) and then after college was adopted by a wonderful rescue sphynx (PyeWacket). Over then next 20 or so years I have had 4 sphyx cats (PyeWacket, Forty Two, Tesla and Cairo) and 1 Lyikoi (Cypher). Over the last year my house has had 4 puppies (from 8 weeks), 2 turtles, 2 Guinea pigs, 2 full size dogs 6 cats and multiple fish. I also often house sit for a very smart chihuahua named Mazie. Currently in between jobs so my schedule is fairly open. Like early and late walks due to the heat but open for anything. Open to late night feedings if needed. I treat your animals like they were my own. Love to play, hang out and what ever your little one needs. Need to make sure they know they are loved.

I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.
About: I have been pet sitting for about 15 years, everything from quick play dates to extended stays lasting over a month. I've worked with a variety of dogs including a 13-year old 4 pound chihuahua, a vizla that required 5 or more hours of solid exercise a day, a 160 pound mastiff that thought he was a lap dog, and a very scared dalmatian/husky/german shepherd mix that needed some serious work on social interations. I've dealt with skunk attacks, bee stings, an intestinal blockage and various types of aggression. I AM NOT CURRENTLY ABLE TO STAY OVERNIGHT DURING SITTINGS. I KEPT IT IN MY PROFILE BECAUSE IT IS LESS EXPENSIVE THAN BOOKING MULTIPLE DROP-INS At the end of last year I ended up taking in 3 Doberman puppies that I had dog sat for regularly. I was able to find a home of one of them but the other two are still with me. Because of this I am not able to do extended stays that require me to be gone overnight or dogs that cannot be left alone for a few hours due to separation anxiety or medical reasons. But if your dog is friendly please consider boarding! I currently work from home with flexible hours most of the time. My schedule is very accommodating and I love being able to take advantage of nice weather or last minute requests. The yard where I am is NOT fenced in, but it is very large with several acres of wooded area in the back. For dogs that need to stay on leash there is a long tie out and plenty of walks. I never let the dogs play outside without supervision. There are two other friendly dogs on the property (in addition to my own 2) and two dogs next-door that come over to play all the time. So we have our own mini, well-mannered, well-socialized dog park.
About: I have been working with dogs since I was in 6th grade. I trained my childhood dog through a 4H program and we completed at the county fair each year in Obedience and Rally. Now I have a rescue who over the past 4 years we've helped work through a lot of reactivity and she now is an active participant in Rally competitions and other classes. As a teacher my summer is wide open for walks and drop in visits. Once the school year starts after school and weekends are open. I'm very comfortable with dogs of various sizes and needs. About: I’ve lived with cats and dogs ever since I could remember! I’ve been pet sitting for my family and friends since I was around 14-15 years old. Some of the pets I’ve previously pet sit include senior dogs, cats of all ages, rodents, fish, and even reptiles. I am comfortable with all sorts of animals, mammals or not. I always aim to treat every single animal with the upmost respect, and as much love and care as I can possibly give them! Some of my special skill include: - giving oral medication - mixing special meals - basic/light dog training - clipping medium-tempered cats nails - caring for aquariums if necessary - basic care for reptiles and rodents - basic cat and dog grooming (brushing, spot cleaning, etc) . I’m currently working part time, so I have a good amount of time for your animals. My goal is to cause as little stress as possible for your animals while they are in my care. About: I’ve been dog and cat sitting (all different breeds) for friends and family over the past couple years, either in their home or my own. I am a figure skating and hockey coach. This requires me to be at the rink for 3-4 hours a day, generally in the afternoon/early evening. All of the office work that I do for it can be completed from home. I have a cat in my own home. If I’m ever to have dogs there, I put him downstairs with his litter box and food so that we don’t have to worry about the pets not getting along.

About: I have been in the animal field for as long as I can remember. When I was younger I took care of horses and volunteered at the Erie County Fair in the horse barn there. Even when I go back to school I will be able to check on your fur babies. My dog is super friendly and will keep your pet occupied if you're okay with it. About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room).
