About: I have had pets in my home since birth and am very experienced caring for them. I got my own dog as soon as I was able to at age 18, he lived to be 16. I am experienced with puppies, elderly dogs, dogs with high anxiety, and rambunctious dogs. I'm happy to discuss any dog's particular needs. My husband and I both work from home. We walk our dogs at least once per day depending on weather and time of year. We walk them in the morning in good weather and after work if there is light to do so. Our normal routine is feeding twice a day. We live on 45 acres of unfenced land with an unfenced pond and stream where. I have two big male dogs, an unaltered Golden and an altered mixed pit, and one cat. I also have a baby under one year old.

About: I have cared for and have had my own cats for many years. The oldest was 29, while the youngest was just a couple days. I have bottle fed, administered medications and just been a friend. I have trained a few to play fetch and have been a source of comfort during labor and delivery while 1 was delivering a litter of 9 kittens. I believe cats are wild at heart but love whole heartedly when they find their person/people.

About: Common courtesy and communication is paramount. **Willing to travel up to an hour away. Just because Rover says you are outside my service area it does not always mean you are. I have clients an hour North and South of me. **Necessary update as of 6/21/23** I will require current credit card info be on file at your vet or provided for me in your pet write up ONLY in case of emergency. In the event of an emergency and I could not get a hold of the human, puppies have no pockets to hold a card, the vet required me to pay. I have raised 3 separate RESCUE Rottweilers to be exceptional ambassadors of their breed. I currently do not have any pets since my big boy passed away in 2016. I hope to again one day have my own dogs. Until then I will love YOUR pet. **I DO NOT board animals at my home. Only repeat clients would MAYBE be possible for a very short amount of time.** Clients pets have included many breeds, species for days, weeks. Many Golden Retrievers, Doodles, mixes aka Heinz57s, Old English Sheep dog, lots of kitties, a chameleon, turtles, a bearded dragon, a small bird, fish, Rottweilers, a very challenging but lovable English Bulldog and Huskies one of which was very reactive. Oh and a LOT of house plants! PLEASE NOTE: I am deathly allergic to horses which I am very sad about. Any type of animal requiring LARGE amounts of hay would also be a problem i.e, goats, cows, alpacas I am sorry to say. Small rodent animals requiring hay for food or bedding has not been a big deal. My personnel dogs were very public dogs, parks, events etc. With the ever present fact in mind that as good as my animal was it is still an animal. Never purposely putting them in a situation to be loose (unless at home or a fenced park) or get into anything that could harm them. Read quite a few books/manuals by military working dog trainers in hopes of training a service oriented Rottie. Came very close to passing the Good Citizen certification but my dogs never liked the “stay” part when I had to walk away with my back turned. They just had to be next to me. So close. PLEASE NOTE: I have my preferences set to NOT to show any photos of YOUR pet publicly. I would ask permission first to share. Photos only NEVER infomation of course. My schedule allows me to be available to be in YOUR HOME, with your pets all day/night, unless noted ahead of time and of course trips to the store. I have many types of animals that insist on sleeping in bed just like they do when their people are home which in fine by me. Just take some Benadryl and snuggle on in. I try to stick closely to how the home runs normally so the pets do not have any surprises that can make them anxious. Sleep, food, walks, play time etc. I supervise dogs in their own yard fenced or not. I am very organized and like an outlined idea of their schedule to be written down for me to follow as closely as YOU would.

She stopped by AFTER a full days work, which was at least another 20 minutes in the opposite direction from me. Despite these logistics, Emily showed up consistently early evening immediately after her work day. She performed all the duties necessary during each visit, plus she performed some special handling for a package that arrived while I was away. I would not hesitate using her again, and would recommend her.”

If your pet is staying at my home and really doesn’t like other pets, I could definitely accommodate keeping them separated! I treat my dogs and others as my babies, I’m always letting them out whenever necessary, and making sure to administer any medication properly and on time, I let my personal pets on furniture and beds, but understand if you have rules regarding that and I will be sure to follow those. I have boarded friends dogs at my home before for the past two years, and have cared for both dogs and cats in others homes. I live farther off the road on 31 acres, we have a super large yard, and lots of wooded trails! If I am staying in your home overnights I will need to currently bring along my little senior dog, as he requires medication and supervision from me. He is very well behaved, and is mostly just in my arms being carried the whole time. I’m very flexible, so if you have any questions at all, be sure to reach out to me! I’m currently home full time, so your furbaby will never be left alone and have supervision 24/7! Also, if your pet has a schedule that they’re used, please do let me know so I can continue that! I prefer to take pups out on a leash as my yard is not fenced, however if you feel that your pup would do okay off leash, I can let them off for periods of time. I of course will always be right there with them and supervising! I also have a very large home, so there is plenty of room to play inside as well!
About: Dogs and Cats are just as stressed as you when you have to go out of town. I get it. I want to be here to help your fur baby at home have a low energy time as they are missing their parents when they are gone. I think it’s great to interact as much as possible just as much as I think it’s great give them space when they need it. I do not currently have any pets but I have been volunteering at animal shelters for ten years. Through this experience I was able to learn dog and cat behaviors of all kinds. I go in treating the area like it’s their space and I am just a visitor and not a threat. Usually I bring treats and try to see if it’s a good fit (if allowed).

“My little pup seemed to really enjoy his time with Hope. She made sure he got lots of fresh air which he enjoyed being a city dog. We will be going back to Hope if we are vacationing in the area.”
About: I have had pets in my home since birth and am very experienced caring for them. I got my own dog as soon as I was able to at age 18, he lived to be 16. I am experienced with puppies, elderly dogs, dogs with high anxiety, and rambunctious dogs. I'm happy to discuss any dog's particular needs. My husband and I both work from home. We walk our dogs at least once per day depending on weather and time of year. We walk them in the morning in good weather and after work if there is light to do so. Our normal routine is feeding twice a day. We live on 45 acres of unfenced land with an unfenced pond and stream where. I have two big male dogs, an unaltered Golden and an altered mixed pit, and one cat. I also have a baby under one year old.
“Diedre was amazing with our boy Tito, who has special needs. He has anxiety and was recently diagnosed with epilepsy so is wobbly from the phenobarbital he has to take. He had a lovely playmate and Diedre made sure he wouldn’t slip on the floors and was not left alone at night. She kept me up to date and make me feel a lot better about where he was and how he was doing. I would definitely use them again when we're in the Adirondacks!”

About: I grew up on a farm, which gave me hands-on experience caring for a wide range of animals, including horses, pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, cows, and various small animals. From a young age, I’ve always had dogs and cats in my home, and animal care has been a constant part of my life. I currently work at a dog training facility, where I am continuing to advance my career as a professional dog trainer. On a daily basis, I work with dogs of many breeds, sizes, temperaments, and unique quirks, and I’m confident handling nearly all dogs. I’m experienced in the proper use of training tools such as prong and starmark collars, slip leads, and ecollars. At home, I share my life with four dogs and five cats, further reinforcing my comfort and confidence in multi-pet environments. About: Not only have I had pets ever since I was little but I have been taking care of them. Friends and family have come to me time and time again to board, walk, bathe or just give their dog some fun for a couple hours! Growing up we raised golden puppies so I have lots of experience with puppies and their needs. I used to work at a dog grooming shop, so handling any type of personality is no problem for me. I love getting outside with any furry friend for some fun as well! I’m currently working part-time so my schedule is pretty malleable to help out with pets. Weekends vary depending on the time of year. Happy to work it out at booking. I live in a house and am around to take your pet outside for multiple walks throughout the day. I can also crate them if need be. I do have a kitty so animals need to be able to get along with a cat.
About: I have owned dogs my whole life and am a PhD student looking to use my exercise/break time taking care of your dog! Mondays to Wednesday I have open availability and Thursday to Sundays I am open from about 10AM to 2PM. I am super flexible and happy to follow your doggie rules. I have done formal training for rescue pups and understand dog behaviour/warning signs/signs of stress etc as well as any human can. I like to take my own dog with me most places, hiking, camping, you name it. I have owned dogs from 30lb to 90lb and ones who are super loving and those who are more shy.
