My Boxer has separation anxiety so bad she got severe colitis last time I had to travel, so I knew a kennel setting would not be good for her. “Melissa is a true saint! My family was on a 2.5 week road trip with our 11 month old Akita puppy, Frida, when we decided to make a stop a the Great Blue Heron festival in Sherman, NY. Being on the road and leaving our puppy with a stranger seemed intimidating, especially considering her shy nature, but Melissa was great! Frida was very reserved with Melissa at first, but eventually warmed up. Melissa sent pictures and videos that showed she was having a great time. She went above and beyond to make sure Frida had access to activities that she enjoyed and even set up play dates with other young dogs. I am so so grateful we found Melissa and we were able to leave our pup with someone who put so much love and care into her time with Frida.”

My job is remote and more so dependent on my overall job being done rather than being in front of a computer for set hours. You tell me when you want me to visit and we can make it work. About: I have had dogs all my life and spent over 20 years as a Pet Groomer both in a shop and mobile. I have had continued education in cat grooming, dog grooming, skin care, etc. I specialized in senior and anxiety dogs. I have had upward of 9 dogs at one time and they did not all get along. I have also owned a diabetic dog. I also have a Reiki background. Currently I am retired from pet grooming and I own another business that is seasonal therefore my schedule is pretty flexible and my availability is pretty open too. I have a small fenced yard in a low traffic community that is good for walks too. I am familiar with crate training and can accommodate that if needed. I also have gates if access needs to be limited to parts of my house. Example, I do have stairs and can block them if pet is unable to do stairs.

About: Hello, I grew up in a household with 5 dogs and was always around helping with them in any way I could. I recently worked at a doggy daycare/hotel for about two years. Throughout my years of pet sitting I’ve done it all, whether it was feeding, bathing, or cleaning up after them. I’ve taken care of all ages of dogs, cats, birds, and even a pig before. I love all animals and would love to be considered for any pet care needs! I currently am working part time but am home most of the time. When I am home, the dogs and I play inside and out. Your pets won’t go more than 4 hours alone. I have a mostly fenced in yard for us to go out and play in. I have one older dog to keep yours company and I have one cat who minds his business and doesn’t bother dogs.
