My Boxer has separation anxiety so bad she got severe colitis last time I had to travel, so I knew a kennel setting would not be good for her. “Melissa is a true saint! My family was on a 2.5 week road trip with our 11 month old Akita puppy, Frida, when we decided to make a stop a the Great Blue Heron festival in Sherman, NY. Being on the road and leaving our puppy with a stranger seemed intimidating, especially considering her shy nature, but Melissa was great! Frida was very reserved with Melissa at first, but eventually warmed up. Melissa sent pictures and videos that showed she was having a great time. She went above and beyond to make sure Frida had access to activities that she enjoyed and even set up play dates with other young dogs. I am so so grateful we found Melissa and we were able to leave our pup with someone who put so much love and care into her time with Frida.”
About: Hi there, I’m Maddie! I grew up with animals and now have two dogs of my own. I volunteer once a week at my local humane society and have had experience fostering. About: My whole life I was never able to have pets up until two years ago which is when I got my first girl, Jojo. She changed my life completely and so I had to get her a sister. My love for them is unmatched and even though I don’t have training what I do have is unconditional love and plenty of free time. I recently resigned from my job so I do not have a work schedule to work around so I am able to give my pets as well as yours all the attention and care that they need. I do have a fenced yard so if they need to go outside for potty or play there is no risk of them running off. I also two dogs at home as previously mentioned but I do have a dog gate inside if your pet needs some alone time. I separate my dogs during meal times and sometimes just to give individual attention. Both my dogs are girls and they are sweet and very playful.

About: I have "officially" been petsitting consistently since 2022, but I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses as pets and my love for animals has never waned. Currently I own 2 goldendoodles and they are my "kids". Pets/services I have experience with and are willing to offer are: -Dogs (large & small), cats (house & barn), horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, chickens, pigs, goats -Administering medications, eye & ear drops, supplements, and special foods for special diets -Staying overnight in clients' homes to care for pets in their usual, comfortable environments (I do not board pets in my own home) -Dropping into clients' homes to feed, let out, and/or just play with their pets or keep them company! -Light cleaning/tidying up around clients' homes, as I always like to leave them looking even better after I stay there. I strive to treat and care for my clients' pets as if they are my own, because that is what I would want and expect for my own pets! I work a full-time job in downtown Jamestown, NY Monday-Friday, usually between the hours of 10:00am-6:00pm, but these hours can be flexible at times. I also work occasional shifts at a horse farm, typically 1-3 times a week for anywhere from 2-5 hours per shift. This leaves me with the following (generally consistent) availability for pet care for my Rover clients: -Monday-Friday: Early morning feedings & check-ins; midday feedings & check-ins (if located within 15 minutes of downtown Jamestown); evening feedings, check-ins, & social interaction/hanging out once I am done with my full-time job for the day. I am even open to staying overnight in a client’s home on weeknights to ensure I am providing the best pet care I can while juggling my full-time job. -Weekends: I can typically hang around in a client’s home with your pets all day Saturday and Sunday, or I can just stop by for feedings & check-ins throughout the day. I can also typically stay overnight in a client’s home Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. I am willing to work to tweak my schedule as much as I can within my means, in order to meet the needs of my clients and their pets. :) I prefer to only care for my clients' pets in their own home since pets are typically most comfortable in their usual environments. As long as I am at a client's home, pets will receive more than just the minimum care and attention they require. I will gladly engage in their favorite activities with them, whether that be fetch, snuggling on the couch, or giving them belly rubs!

About: I have had dogs all my life and spent over 20 years as a Pet Groomer both in a shop and mobile. I have had continued education in cat grooming, dog grooming, skin care, etc. I specialized in senior and anxiety dogs. I have had upward of 9 dogs at one time and they did not all get along. I have also owned a diabetic dog. I also have a Reiki background. Currently I am retired from pet grooming and I own another business that is seasonal therefore my schedule is pretty flexible and my availability is pretty open too. I have a small fenced yard in a low traffic community that is good for walks too. I am familiar with crate training and can accommodate that if needed. I also have gates if access needs to be limited to parts of my house. Example, I do have stairs and can block them if pet is unable to do stairs.

I am comfortable giving oral meds, comfortable learning other routes of medication administration if needed. Currently will only board cats from the same home or young puppies (message for more details) at a time due to other animals in the house. Your fur baby will have their very Owen room with a gate door that is about 6ft tall to keep them safe and comfortable when I am not watching them or letting them out for play time. I will follow your set schedule for feedings and play time. If I am boarding an animal they are my soul focus till pick up time. About: Hello, I grew up in a household with 5 dogs and was always around helping with them in any way I could. I recently worked at a doggy daycare/hotel for about two years. Throughout my years of pet sitting I’ve done it all, whether it was feeding, bathing, or cleaning up after them. I’ve taken care of all ages of dogs, cats, birds, and even a pig before. I love all animals and would love to be considered for any pet care needs! I currently am working part time but am home most of the time. When I am home, the dogs and I play inside and out. Your pets won’t go more than 4 hours alone. I have a mostly fenced in yard for us to go out and play in. I always make sure my dogs are well taken care of and exercised. I always go outside with the animals so they won't run away and so I can keep an eye on them. I also walk dogs to get some exercise and play with them. I make sure to give them a lot of attention.
About: Have trained and raised 3 beautiful dogs and have family within the foster and veterinary fields. Having a few pit bulls, have basic obedience and leash walking training..we live super close to the water as well as dog parks and playgrounds and would love to help other pups have a good and safe life:) Or a cozy environment if your fur baby prefers a calm safe space. One of us works from home, mainly nights, so there is always someone around to take care of the precious pup..and our weekends consist of hikes, water adventures, less reactive trails, and movie parties! We have a closed in 3 floor apartment as well as multiple courtyards and doggy parks right around the corner from where we live. We live directly next to a school so a fenced in playground (without other dogs) is also available. We have a large and small sized crate with lots of enrichment treat, toys, galore !

My Boxer has separation anxiety so bad she got severe colitis last time I had to travel, so I knew a kennel setting would not be good for her. “Melissa is a true saint! My family was on a 2.5 week road trip with our 11 month old Akita puppy, Frida, when we decided to make a stop a the Great Blue Heron festival in Sherman, NY. Being on the road and leaving our puppy with a stranger seemed intimidating, especially considering her shy nature, but Melissa was great! Frida was very reserved with Melissa at first, but eventually warmed up. Melissa sent pictures and videos that showed she was having a great time. She went above and beyond to make sure Frida had access to activities that she enjoyed and even set up play dates with other young dogs. I am so so grateful we found Melissa and we were able to leave our pup with someone who put so much love and care into her time with Frida.”
About: Hi there, I’m Maddie! I grew up with animals and now have two dogs of my own. I volunteer once a week at my local humane society and have had experience fostering. I understand the need to know that your animal is receiving the best care possible! It’s my goal and mission to treat your pet as I would my own and provide them with the best care possible! Dogs and cats are our loyal companions. They deserve the best that we can provide them with. My schedule is very flexible. I work remotely full time and have control over my schedule during the weekday and weekends. I bring my dogs to work with me when I have to work in the office. I have a fenced in yard that the dogs are able to play in. I have baby gates in the house that can keep pets within a safe boundary. I’m cautious of doors to ensure that pets don’t escape. I’m constantly reading and watching for body language that communicates to me whether your pet is happy, stressed, etc.
About: I have been pet sitting for most of my life. People have always trusted me with their animals - dogs, cats, tortuous, rabbits, fish, and hedgehogs to name a few. I understand that a pet is another family member and deserved to be treated as such. Hire me and have some peace of mind knowing that your pets are being loved on and cared for while you are away. My job is remote and more so dependent on my overall job being done rather than being in front of a computer for set hours. You tell me when you want me to visit and we can make it work. About: I’ve taken care of dogs for the majority of my life. My current furry companion is a 5 year old Golden Retriever and two cats. I have cared for family pets and take in friends animals for short and long term. I’m currently on summer break from working in the schools, so I am very flexible schedule-wise. I live in the country and have lots of space to walk pets and enjoy the outdoors. My pets are sociable and love other people and animals. We can enjoy the outdoors, snuggle up inside, and just enjoy furry family members. Looking forward to quality time and more pets to love.
