About: I’ve had dogs my whole life but only started sitting in 2019 after graduating college. I love and can care for dogs of all sizes but my apartment can only fit <60 lbs comfortably. He was open to meeting with us before we left on vacation and asked great questions (vet info, local contacts, likes and dislikes, etc). We usually leave Miso at a boarder, but since our trip was going to be longer than usual we were hoping to find someone local that could give Miso more personal attention and affection - Aaron made us feel comfortable leaving Miso with him for an extended period of time. I work from home 4 days of the work week and even on the day that I’m away, pets are never left alone for more than 5-6 hours a day, which is rare at that. About: My name is Melissa and I have taken care of animals since my first dog in second grade. I previously had a Labrador and Shih-Tzu who both lived until old age. I also fostered older dogs who could not find homes due to their age. I currently have a one year old yellow lab mix. He’s dog and cat friendly. In order to board your dog, your dog must be dog friendly. I also require a meet and greet to ensure it’s a good fit. Buddy is not neutered so unspayed females are not a good fit. I offer boarding in my home. I live in a second story apartment in an old building with a large yard. There is a picture of my apartment located within my pictures. I only board one animal at a time as it's a one bedroom apartment. It allows me to spend quality time with your pet! For boarding I do provide dishes and toys, but many animals prefer to have some of their own. I have open availability on weekends, however I work from home on weekdays and there may be times I need to be out of my home for up to three hours. I have a camera in my home and will be able to remotely check on your pet if I need to be away for work. I will always inform you prior to the booking if I have appointments out of the home. I am experienced feeding animals in a variety of ways and will follow your instructions on feeding and walking.
