Elise kept me updated with daily messages and the sweetest photos, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. When I got home, Lucy was relaxed, happy, and everything was spotless – her litter box was clean, food and water bowls full, and her favorite toys were clearly played with! It’s clear Elise went above and beyond to make sure Lucy was not only safe, but truly loved while I was gone. I’m so grateful and would absolutely trust her again without hesitation. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi, I’m Michaela! Animals have been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. From dogs and cats to horses, goats, and other livestock, I’ve spent my whole life learning how to handle animals of all sizes with confidence and care. Professionally, I’ve built my career around animal care: • I currently work as a Client Care Specialist at Countryside Veterinary Clinic, where I interact daily with pets and their families, gaining valuable insight into health, behavior, and comfort needs. • I previously worked at the Lewis County Humane Society, where I cared for shelter animals, helped match pets with families, and supported the team with everything from feeding and cleaning to hands-on enrichment and socialization. • I also run my own small business, Kales Kritters, offering grooming, boarding, and in-home care for dogs and cats of all temperaments and needs. • Additionally, I founded A New Leash on Life, a local nonprofit that provides pet supplies, food, and resources to families in need. Between my farm upbringing, shelter work, and veterinary clinic role, I’ve had the privilege of caring for animals in every stage of life — from bottle babies to seniors — and I’m comfortable with special needs, medications, and unique temperaments. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, overnights, or just giving your pet a little extra love while you’re away, I treat every animal like they’re my own.

About: I’ve taken care of so many family cats in the past 3 years. All ages ranging from kittens to seniors, I love all kitties that I meet and I hope that I have the opportunity to help care for yours! I am experienced with providing cats with medications as well as specific feeding and care routines.

“I would definitely recommend Nicole to take care of your furry pet. Our dog usually just finds a corner to mope in. Nicole sent us some photos of Lucky mingling with the other dogs and he looked So happy. Thank you for putting Lucky at ease while staying with you.”

“Oreo loved his stay, I dropped him off on both Saturday and Sunday for a few hours ! Each day , she responded immediately and let me bring him very short notice! She was amazing with him, she sent pictures during his stay ,i can tell he enjoyed the walks ( he’s used to walks in the city not country walks) she kept him on schedule and I loved to see him interact with the other dogs , the new environment , and the love and care Andrea effortlessly gave to Oreo. I will continue to book with her when I’m in the area. Thanks again 🫶🏾”

“Luke was great with Cow! She immediately started playing with her toys with him and that’s a rare occurrence with strangers. She was pooped after a day of walks with him and it was nice to know that she could get some exercise and some couch cuddles, the perfect balance for her. Luke was keen to oblige to all the picky requirements that a chihuahua has. 20/10 would leave Cow with Luke again! Thanks for being flexible with booking and for taking good care of her!”

“Charles took amazing care of Mario! When we picked him up, Mario was happily tired out after all the playing. We were visiting Gananoque on a trip, and it was such a relief to have Charles look after him while we went on a cruise.”

“Debbie has worked with us for about 2 years and has been great with our dog! Our dog started out as a very shy puppy that was scared to be walked down the street and with Debbie’s patients and kindness he now loves to explore on his walks. Debbie is the best dog walker you can find”

About: I have had numerous dogs over the years, from rescue to purebred, ranging from 8 weeks old to adopting a rescue at 4 years old. I am happy to offer professional dog walking and drop-in services. I am currently available Monday-Fridays, morning and lunchtime walks, and all day on Saturdays. My dog walking and drop-in includes walking, spending time with your dog, making sure they have fresh water and food if they need to be fed. I like to meet with you and your dog before I start so they become familiar with me. During this meet and greet I can find out if there are specific needs (oral medications, puppy training, senior dog) you would like me to do while I’m there. I provide updates when I arrive and when I leave letting you know how they are doing. I look forward to meeting you and can be trusted to follow the instructions you provide for the best care and safety for your family dog.

About: I have worked in the animal care industry since I was 14 years old. I grew up with my mother whom bred and showed various different breeds of dogs as well as we kept a small mixed livestock farm. I have worked as an equine manager, I have worked at TSC, and currently am employed at a veterinary clinic where I was originally working with boarders. My skills include basic training, basic grooming, administering preventatives and medication (including insulin), providing effective and safe restraint, and I have taken multiple educational courses on animal welfare, behavior, and stress-free approach to handling. I work full time, but only mid day so I am more than capable of doing morning and afternoon visits as well as mid day on the weekends. I take care of animals the same way I would want to be cared for: with patience, kindness and love but above all safely. Working at a veterinary clinic I have learned a great amount about safe animal care (including with reactive animals).

About: Hi, nice to meet you! Please call me Eliza. Firstly, thank you for considering me to take care of your fur-babies while you're away. Here's a little bit about me and my history with pet care. When I was little, I always knew I wanted to work with animals in some capacity. My journey with pet care began when I was 12 years old. One of my neighbors had a black lab puppy that they never let inside & never had company. One day, I walked up to their door, knocked & asked them to hire me to walk their dog everyday. I never looked back. Since then, friends, family, neighbors & strangers alike have entrusted me with all of their pet's needs. When considering booking with me, please keep in mind that I also work 35 hours a week, giving me plenty of time to pay attention to your pets. I do not have breed restrictions & am happy to work with any special needs or requirements your pet may have. FOR ALL NEW CLIENTS, I do require a meet & greet before booking to ensure that everyone (including your pet) is comfortable and to be able to ask/answer any questions we may have for each other. I've found this helps to ensure trust between all of us. Please be upfront with any triggers or quirks so I know exactly how to take care of your pet. *The meet & greet is a FREE service to ensure we're all a good fit for each other before the stay. For the time being, I do not offer boarding in my home. During my stay with your pets, I provide the utmost care & attention to your pet & their needs. My main priorities are making sure your pet is as safe & as comfortable as possible in an already anxious situation with their parents being away. Thank you so much for considering me to take care of your fur-babies while you're away.
