About: I will provide a on-the-ready daycare/check-in service. Check in's will include play time engagement, spending time with them if they have been alone, walks, administer medicine if need be, and overall quality check in. I can provide these services at a moments notice with being local to Burlington, and can also provide these services over an extended period of time to suite your schedule. Daily check in's can last anywhere from 30 mins to one hour, depending on your needs. I work full time but my schedule is flexible. I have watched and cared for multiple family friends cats and dogs since my teens, as well as now helping colleagues watch their pets while traveling out of town. My experience ranges from the simple check in's; walks, playtime, feeding - to administering shots, ear spray, tic and flea medicine, etc. I currently work a hybrid schedule Mon-Thurs in office and half-day Fridays from home, moving back to full-day Friday's from home come fall. Even when in office, my schedule is flexible and I am out of work by 4pm, and can step out quick if need be throughout the day, making sudden pop-in visits easy for me. And making scheduled visits even easier. I live on a quieter street and my apartment is set back from the road, giving peace of mind when out on walks or in the yard. Crating is always an option if you are more comfortable and familiar with that.

“Nicholas was a great caretaker for our 9 year old dog. He has a great backyard which our dog loved and a warm family environment. Nicholas was very flexible with us as our plans changed and he is extremely easy to work with. Would highly recommend and we are going to rebook.”

“Aiden was great with Lana. He sent photos of her, got out for walks and was very responsive to questions. She came back happy and healthy. Will for sure be reaching out again for Lana in the future.”

“Keelie had an awesome day with John! The backyard is perfect for any size dog but especially for larger dogs with lots of energy! He also sent me some photos during the day so I knew that she was living her best life. She hesitated when it was time to get in the car and leave. I was visiting VT from NC for an ailing family member and I am so grateful that John squeezed Keelie in to his "pack" at the very last minute and even allowed us to come over the night before for a meet & greet. Weather your visiting the area and don't want to leave your pet(s) alone at your hotel or local to the area, you would be hard-pressed to find a better caregiver :)”

“Ruchi was amazing with Frida! This was my first time leaving Frida with a pet sitter, so I was a little nervous, but Ruchi made the whole experience so much easier. She was very patient with Frida, especially at the beginning when she was a little nervous and unsure about being in a new place. Ruchi kept me updated throughout her stay, and it was so nice to see Frida becoming more and more comfortable with her and her family. When I picked Frida up, she was happy to see me, but she was also clearly very happy and comfortable with Ruchi. She even went back to her almost as if she was saying thank you and goodbye, which made me feel really good about leaving her there. Ruchi and her family are truly dog lovers, and you can tell they are very knowledgeable and experienced with dogs. I felt like Frida was in very good hands. I would definitely book with Ruchi again and highly recommend her! ❤️🐾”

“Catherine was an amazing pet sitter! Joey had a great time with her, and I loved receiving lots of photos and videos while I was away. I honestly think Joey enjoyed his time with her just as much as she enjoyed having him. Catherine was flexible, responded promptly to messages, and made the whole experience stress-free. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter.”

“Christina was amazing! She took care of our small pup, Hazel, for 5 days and did a fantastic job. We felt completely at ease knowing Hazel was safe and well cared for in Christina’s hands. She sent us daily updates and photos, which made us feel so connected even while we were away. It’s clear that Christina truly loves animals and goes above and beyond to make sure they’re happy and comfortable. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!”

“I always get nervous leaving Bert, especially with someone new, but Natalie and Pat (and Scarlette) made me feel so at ease. They showered Bert with love and sent me frequent pictures and updates. I knew he was well taken care of in their care. I will absolutely be bringing Bert back :) I can't thank you guys enough!”

“Aaron was a great fit for our dog - Miso loved spending the week with him. It took a few days for Miso to adjust to his first ever sitter and Aaron handled it well - checking in with us when he noticed that Miso wasn't eating and seemed a little home sick. By the end of the week, Miso seemed to be having a great time. Aaron sent pictures and updates throughout the week, which was really appreciated. We would highly recommend Aaron. He was open to meeting with us before we left on vacation and asked great questions (vet info, local contacts, likes and dislikes, etc). We usually leave Miso at a boarder, but since our trip was going to be longer than usual we were hoping to find someone local that could give Miso more personal attention and affection - Aaron made us feel comfortable leaving Miso with him for an extended period of time. Thanks for taking such good care of Miso for us, Aaron!”

“Sarah was very communicative and sent lots of photos. I was also so glad my dog Nova was able to run around and play a bunch with their dog Roxy while I was away. Thanks again!”

“Matt accepted our last-minute boarding request and took excellent care of our high-maintenance dog for an entire weekend. We appreciated how he accommodated her eccentric behavior with a smile, and we look forward to booking him again!”

“JD and his family took excellent care of my two dogs, Dot and Tot. They were caring, meticulous about schedules, and communicative to me throughout the weekend. Their house is located next to a large park with a variety of hiking trails - an excellent location providing plenty of walking and exercise opportunities. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again when I come back up!”

“Sonya was wonderful and incredibly caring with my three Pomeranians. She kept me updated with regular communication and took exceptional care of my dogs. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands.”

About: I’ve spent many years volunteering at shelters. Dog walking at a very young age started walking dogs in my neighborhood as a kid. It’s only progressed from there. I have training skills in potty training, commands, etc. I have some minimal behavioral training as well. I wake up at 6:00 am everyday. The dogs will get fed shortly after being walked. From there they will be walked every 4 hours. Plus they will get play time for example hike, running, fetch, swimming, etc. I do have 4 dogs in my home. They are all very friendly and well trained. They have been through extensive dog training. I also have enrichment toys to help keep your pups occupied. I have the ability to separate the dogs if needed. I do also have the knowledge of medication administration. I do make sure to monitor the entire time. Will be sure to send photo and video updates.
“The ultimate pet sitter! Deborah is amazing in her attention to every dog trait and instantly creates rapport with the dog. Her place is perfect for dog care with a fenced area for outdoor fun. Deborah is a blessing.”

“Paul was a good fit for Arlee and me. He fed Arlee to my specifications, and sent photos throughout Arlee’s stay. Arlee was calm and content when I picked him up. I would choose Paul again for taking such good care of my pup!”

“Absolute lifesaver! Not only was she able to care for Echo when a last minute emergency came up, she kept me posted on how she was behaving the whole time. My dog has anxiety and every picture I received made it clear Echo felt comfortable and safe. I'm super grateful for what she was able to do”

“Ben did an amazing job I was in training for 5 days but then got stuck in travel hell with his Global Travel nightmare for an additional five days and Ben was able to extend his days. I'm so thankful”
“Erica is fantastic! This was our first time using a pet sitting service and we were nervous, but Erica quickly put our minds at ease. She came over before the booking to meet our cat, Gilbert, and they immediately clicked. She is clearly a pet-person. We booked Erica for a week of drop-in visits while we were away on vacation. She was punctual and a great communicator, sending pictures of our fur baby each day. There was a major snowstorm and 12+ hour power outage while we were away, and Erica went above and beyond to communicate with us and make sure Gilbert’s needs were met. She even shoveled our walkway! We highly recommend Erica and will definitely book with her again.”

“Karen was absolutely wonderful with my two cats. She stayed in my house with them for over a week during Christmas and New Years, was a great communicator, kept me updated with photos, and I felt very reassured leaving my pets with someone so responsible. Upon my return everything was tidy, the cats were well fed with extra food and water laid out, and litter boxes cleaned. It was a great experience and so wonderful having her take care of them while I was away so I could relax and enjoy my vacation worry free.”

They were also super flexible and accommodating with our drop off and pickup schedule. By the end of the week our dog was so excited to go visit every day. “Max my pug had the best day ever! Christina updated me regularly during his stay. I could see he was very well taken care of and comfortable with her dogs and the house. She even talked to me about checking his hearing which confirmed what i had been recognizing myself. Max says next time he is in need of a dog sitter Christina is his choice:)”

About: Dog-obsessed 27-year-old with a lifetime of experience. I grew up with five dogs and adopted my own rescue pup Callie a few years ago — so I know dogs, and I know what it's like to trust someone else with yours. I'll take your pup on sniff-led walks, set up treat scavenger hunts, send you tons of photos (if you want), and give your dog the best staycation ever while you're away. I'm home most of the day, I respond fast, and your dog will be treated like royalty. Active pup? I'm a runner and biker training for an Ironman — happy to take them on real adventures. Your dog will be treated like family, because dogs ARE the family. I have a very flexible schedule currently. My schedule on Rover is always up to date! I love to walk every day, and I’d much rather walk with a cute doggo! I live in a home in with a fenced in yard. I also have tons of space and dogs are always allowed on the furniture!!!
“Darian is awesome. She's dogsat Frida a bunch of times this winter, and she takes great care of her, takes her for walks, and feeds her when I'm out during meal times. She's communicative, on time, and always keeps me up to date on how the day is going, which is so great for peace of mind. Very happy and grateful that's she's able to watch Frida!”

About: I've had pets my entire life. For over 40 years, I've raised puppies and kitties into well-behaved, loved members of my family. I have some experience giving medicine and training. I work from home 4 days of the work week and even on the day that I’m away, pets are never left alone for more than 5-6 hours a day, which is rare at that. I walk our dog daily and there is plenty of time to go out and play in a fenced yard multiples times during the day. As mentioned above, we lets our dogs get plenty of fresh air and exercise and they are rarely alone for long stretches at a time. If I'm taking care of a pet in their own home, those pets can get walks and regular visits based on their needs.
“John is more than amazing. He is so caring, loving and kind to our Pup. Milkyway is so happy when we leave him and the entire family makes pup feel at home. I knew the first time I met John and his family they were an excellent choice. They treat pup as if he is one of their very own furr babies. I highly recommend John. Don’t think twice, contact John for his services.”

“Rosen was great and so was his sweet pup! Rosen responds quickly and is reliable. My dog and his played on and off all day and Rosen brought them out for a walk also. He was attentive and took good care of my pup. I think he loves dogs and my dog returned happy and tired!”

“Hannah was available last minute, and we really appreciate it. She was very communicative throughout the day. Tex gets a little too excited in new places, so I’m sure he was very high energy. He’s now resting well thanks to Hannah’s great care.”

“What a gem Chris is! Super kind and responsive and did a terrific job caring for our Yorkie for the day. His place is clean and our little guy felt comfortable right away. We will be sure to book him again the next time we’re in Burlington. Thanks Chris!”

“Louis & Haley put Archie at ease right away with their calm, welcoming manner. It was his first visit and I left him for 3.5 hours. He was calm and happy when I picked him up. I know he would be happy to go back and hang with them again.”

“Pete and Alex were so wonderful! They took great care of our 6-month-old puppy Juniper. She got lots of exercise with them and came home happy and tired! We would absolutely book with them again!”

About: Long story short: I have YEARS of experience and a deep love of all animals! I'm great with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities! Happy to walk them all! Must be kid and puppy friendly if sitting happens in my home. I am also great with cats for in-your-home pet-sitting or drop in visits! The Long Version: I've had dogs in my home since I was a kid. I also have experience with cats, as we had cats first when I was younger, and at one point had multiple cats in the home at once...and also had two cats and two dogs at one time. In college I volunteered at a local rescue and walked dogs of all sizes and personalities several days a week. I ended up adopting one of those dogs, and had her from the age of about 4, until her passing a couple years ago at around age 15. She was an absolute love, but she also could be very reactive on walks/ in public. She was extremely particular about which dogs she approved and even when she found one she'd be okay with, she often took quite a careful, long introduction to make it work. We went through behavioral training and made some progress, and I was able to take her on many adventures, even despite her still being a bit reactive. I learned a lot about dog behavior and socialization with her. Over the years we also rehab'd an ACL injury and recovery, and had to make life/ home/ meds modifications as she got older and needed some more senior dog TLC. I am happy to visit/ walk any dogs, behavioral "quirks" and all, as long as I know about their strengths, challenges, and how to support them, in advance. For boarding/ any care within my own home, I am only able to accept dogs that are excellent with young children and puppies. I have two dog-loving kids under age 5, and we have a super sweet lab puppy, so she is currently small, but growing fast! I'm a teacher, so my schedule varies based on the time of year! During the school year: I can do weekend walks, or dog sitting, ideally at my home, through the weekend. During the summer months: My schedule is flexible! I'm happy to do quick potty breaks for pups during the day, regular walks, filling in for random days if you have to work longer than usual, boarding/ dog sitting (again, ideally at my home since I have two little kids and my own puppy). I've always loved my pets as members of the family and I will give your pet all the love and care that I'd give my own! I am happy to follow any pre-established expectations and appreciate knowing anything that's going to help make my time with your pet as comfortable and fun for them as possible in your absence. I also love capturing adorable pictures of animals lounging, playing, etc. so I will definitely send pics during / after my visit if you want them! We allow our puppy on furniture, but I will of course follow any rules/ standard expectations that you have established for your pets and/or your home.
About: Hello! I am an animal lover from way back, I grew up with many animals from rabbits to geese to horses- so if you have any of those too that will work for me. I love connecting with dogs of all breeds and walking them throughout the neighborhood, or going for a hike, or taking them to a park. I am available for walks, check-ins, and boarding in my own home, where I have a yard and am close to multiple walking trails. Expectations and boundaries are important, as are use of cues and reward systems. Everyone's system looks a little different, and I am happy to provide continuity to promote good behavior for your pet. Let's meet and chat to find if it would be a good fit! My schedule is fairly flexible and open! I’m happy to accommodate you and your pet’s schedule. Typically I take myself out for walks at least twice daily :) My home is well-loved and welcoming. I have family visiting regularly and am also close to trails which are so much fun to explore with dogs!

About: I have 5 animals at home (3 cats & 2 dogs) that i love dearly and consider my children. I have had all my animals since they were babies, so I am comfortable with puppies and kittens. I am comfortable and have experience with giving medicine as well, if needed. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to coordinate drop ins or walks at just about any time of the day. I have raised all my animals since they were babies, so I am comfortable with working with whatever routine your animals are in (ie. leash training, crate training).
About: I’ve loved animals my entire life and would love to be a companion for your pets! Young to senior, low to high energy I’m there! I work full time as a registered nurse and have every Monday off and then every other week off. I’m pretty flexible! Let me know what you need! Although I can’t care for your pets in my home, I can offer dog-walking, drop in playtime/hangouts, enrichment games and even take your pup hiking if you’d like!
About: I have had pets my whole life. I currently have a small farm. I have chickens, ducks, turkies, pigs, dogs and cats. Alone with rabbits and guinea pigs. we are a very pet friendly area. About: My name is Melissa and I have taken care of animals since my first dog in second grade. I previously had a Labrador and Shih-Tzu who both lived until old age. I also fostered older dogs who could not find homes due to their age. I currently have a one year old yellow lab mix. He’s dog and cat friendly. In order to board your dog, your dog must be dog friendly. I also require a meet and greet to ensure it’s a good fit. Buddy is not neutered so unspayed females are not a good fit. I offer boarding in my home. I live in a second story apartment in an old building with a large yard. There is a picture of my apartment located within my pictures. I only board one animal at a time as it's a one bedroom apartment. It allows me to spend quality time with your pet! For boarding I do provide dishes and toys, but many animals prefer to have some of their own. I have open availability on weekends, however I work from home on weekdays and there may be times I need to be out of my home for up to three hours. I have a camera in my home and will be able to remotely check on your pet if I need to be away for work. I will always inform you prior to the booking if I have appointments out of the home. I am experienced feeding animals in a variety of ways and will follow your instructions on feeding and walking. I ensure animals are well cared for, played with, and that they receive the attention and care needed.
“Even though she had a busy schedule, Julia was able to accommodate my girls schedule for a walk (through some crazy weather too). Def would book Julia again to take care of my two senior girls.”
