“Kassandra and Johnathan were great with our Puppy Leo! He is a big ball of energy and they were great with him and he loved playing with their dog Charlie. I would recommend to anyone in the area and will definitely bring Leo back when we need boarding again!”

“Rebecca was an outstanding dog sitter and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She was attentive, easy to communicate with, and clearly cared about our dog as if he were her own. She kept us updated with photos of their walks, playtime, and even downtime, which really showed how comfortable and happy he was in her care. It was easily the best boarding experience our dog has ever had, and we could tell he genuinely enjoyed his time with her. I can’t recommend Rebecca highly enough and would absolutely trust her again in the future.”

“Ericca was quick to respond and helped us for doggy day care with 1 days notice. She was friendly and sent updates throughout the day on our dog. We’d love to use her again in the future!”

“Kate is sooo wonderful! It was my first time looking for a sitter and i was worried because I never left my dog with someone that’s not my family members or friends but my Bella took to her right away and gets so excited to see her. Kate is very responsive to texts and keeps me posted with photos I feel so much at ease knowing that my pup is well looked after. Thank you Kate for taking such a good care of my dog while I was away 🙏🏻”

“Larry took excellent care of our dog while we were away for the weekend. He was extremely professional and made sure to ask questions to ensure our dog was as comfortable as possible. We received updates during our time away on how our little guy was doing. We were extremely satisfied with our experience and will definitely keep Larry in mind for our next trip!”

“Carolyn was so amazing with our 3 year old golden, Ellie. She sent photos every day that we were away and updated us on walks or playtime. Ellie looked so happy in every picture and that made me feel confident that she was in good hands while we were on vacation. Carolyn is funny and so sweet. She’s a dog lover at heart and it shows in how she cared for Ellie. Ellie can’t wait to go back!”

“Laurie was great! Was a little worried being our first time using the site but was very happy he was well taken care of! We got pictures of his stay and he had a bunch of dogs to play with! Will definitely be happy using her in the future if we need a dog sitter!”

“This was our second booking with Stephanie. She was very accommodating with our dog. It was so helpful that she dropped the dog at our home just as we arrived back home. Our dog arrived happy and well cared for. Stephanie has been reliable, a good communicator, and flexible with each of our bookings. We couldn't ask for a better fit!!”

“Even though this was short notice, Jillian was excellent with Ezra! She sent videos, photos, and updates about what was going on during the night and day. I felt at peace knowing my boy was in great hands. If you're looking for a responsible, loving, caring sitter, look no further.”

“Mellysa was absolutely amazing with our puppy, Juniper! She kept her over Thanksgiving and made sure we knew what Junie was up to the whole time. Mellysa sent adorable photos and videos several times a day, let Junie sleep with her, and just made sure she was safe and happy. Mellysa’s home is safe, her yard is fenced, her pups are friendly. We were able to relax and not worry about our Junie at all, even knowing that she usually hates being away from us. We can’t recommend Mellysa strongly enough and we’ll definitely use her in the future! 🙏”

“Maegan was flexible with our appointment. We had an important meeting on Monday and she canceled Monday. Abby had a good time. She came home and was calmer than she has ever been.”

“Sheronda and her family are awesome! They loved having another pug in the house. Elly loved having a pug friend and running with Molly as well as Chewy was great fun for her. We would highly recommend Sheronda as your next dog sitter.”

“Lyndsay and her family gave our pups the time of their lives! They loved snuggling with the kids and playing in the backyard. Lyndsay was also great about sending photo updates throughout the stay since we were missing our pups! Will book again.”
“Peg was so kind to watch Bogey this weekend when our sitter plans had fallen through last minute. It had been several months since Bogey stayed with Peg, but he was immediately excited when we arrived and rushed toward the house. He loved playing with her pups and the other dogs in the fenced in backyard. I appreciated Peg’s periodic updates during the stay. Highly recommend - your pup will be in great hands!”

“I once again couldn't be happier that I found Mark & Sylva to watch my boys Buddy & Connor. This is the 2nd time they've watched my boys and once again I'm deeply appreciative of the attention and care they give my babies. The pictures and daily updates eased my worries about being gone. I would recommend them to watch your fur babies over and over again.”

“Deborah was Fabulous! ?& I just recently moved to Bennington. Additionally we had housed my parents cat for 10 days after the move (who we had been cohabitating w for 3years) - And!! our new place was being scraped/painted ( Noisy!) Poor Guy was Traumatized & scared - which translated to Me!! being scared & very nervous about being away for 6 days. Deborah sent me very detailed updates/photos after each daily visit. By day three my lil guy had come out of his shell & greeting her w Affection & meows. ?I am eternally grateful and *Bonus* future travel requirements won't cause me nearly the anxiety. Hooray Deborah!!”

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals my entire life. I’ve gotten up every two hours to syringe feed 4 newborn kittens so to me anything is easier than that. I’ve had outdoor cats and indoor cats.
“Stephanie was amazing. We met her once and knew she was the right choice. She was easily able to handle providing medication and special nutritional needs for our two older girls, as well as, keeping our younger guy busy with plenty of playtime. Steph sent plenty of pictures each day along with a detailed recap of each visit. When we were delayed 2 days getting home from our trip she was happy to extend our agreement to help us out of the jam. I would recommend to anyone needing care for their animals… as long as we don’t need her first!”

“Katie was fantastic! She clearly loves cats and even looked in on our chickens making sure they were happy. She came exactly on time and gave Charlie lots of attention as well as feeding him and scooping the litter box. We couldn't have been happier having her at our house!”

About: Common courtesy and communication is paramount. **Willing to travel up to an hour away. Just because Rover says you are outside my service area it does not always mean you are. I have clients an hour North and South of me. **Necessary update as of 6/21/23** I will require current credit card info be on file at your vet or provided for me in your pet write up ONLY in case of emergency. In the event of an emergency and I could not get a hold of the human, puppies have no pockets to hold a card, the vet required me to pay. I have raised 3 separate RESCUE Rottweilers to be exceptional ambassadors of their breed. I currently do not have any pets since my big boy passed away in 2016. I hope to again one day have my own dogs. Until then I will love YOUR pet. **I DO NOT board animals at my home. Only repeat clients would MAYBE be possible for a very short amount of time.** Clients pets have included many breeds, species for days, weeks. Many Golden Retrievers, Doodles, mixes aka Heinz57s, Old English Sheep dog, lots of kitties, a chameleon, turtles, a bearded dragon, a small bird, fish, Rottweilers, a very challenging but lovable English Bulldog and Huskies one of which was very reactive. Oh and a LOT of house plants! PLEASE NOTE: I am deathly allergic to horses which I am very sad about. Any type of animal requiring LARGE amounts of hay would also be a problem i.e, goats, cows, alpacas I am sorry to say. Small rodent animals requiring hay for food or bedding has not been a big deal. My personnel dogs were very public dogs, parks, events etc. With the ever present fact in mind that as good as my animal was it is still an animal. Never purposely putting them in a situation to be loose (unless at home or a fenced park) or get into anything that could harm them. Read quite a few books/manuals by military working dog trainers in hopes of training a service oriented Rottie. Came very close to passing the Good Citizen certification but my dogs never liked the “stay” part when I had to walk away with my back turned. They just had to be next to me. So close. PLEASE NOTE: I have my preferences set to NOT to show any photos of YOUR pet publicly. I would ask permission first to share. Photos only NEVER infomation of course. My schedule allows me to be available to be in YOUR HOME, with your pets all day/night, unless noted ahead of time and of course trips to the store. I have many types of animals that insist on sleeping in bed just like they do when their people are home which in fine by me. Just take some Benadryl and snuggle on in. I try to stick closely to how the home runs normally so the pets do not have any surprises that can make them anxious. Sleep, food, walks, play time etc. I supervise dogs in their own yard fenced or not. I am very organized and like an outlined idea of their schedule to be written down for me to follow as closely as YOU would.
“Ariel was wonderful and went above and beyond to take care of things while I was away! She was my first sitter I’ve ever used through Rover and it was overall a wonderful experience from our meet & greet to getting photos and updates every day while I was away. My kitties definitely enjoyed her company and I would highly recommend!”
“When our cat walked right up to Zhanara and rubbed against her leg, we knew she was a good fit. He doesn't do that for every newcomer. He has some medical needs that were not a problem. Zhanara shared her knowledge and love every day she was here. She respected our home leaving it just as we had left it. We will definitely be asking her to help us again.”

“Colleen was great! She came a few days before to meet my (high maintenance) cat and see the space. She was super warm and nice - I had no qualms about leaving my baby in her care. She updated me a couple times of day, with pictures! My cat was healthy and happy after she left, and the house looked great - she even took out my trash! I would (and will) 100% book Colleen again!!”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Coila
“This guy is absolutely fantastic. I have a GSD who I used to have to pry away from me to get him to go to a kennel. He's had a total transformation since coming here. He plays all day, he's allowed to sleep in the bed if he wants to, and when he became anxious, Awoo gave him the extra attention he was looking for. Awoo's calm, gentle demeanor puts both of my dogs at ease. And he makes sure all of the pups have a good time here. I'm so glad to have found this place.”

“Davis was a wonderful sitter for our pup, Beau. We left Beau with Davis, her partner, and her pups for a few hours while we went to a museum and Beau seemed perfectly content when we picked him up. Thanks, Davis!”

“Ericca was wonderful with our new dog, Arlo. Arlo is a rescue and he is reactive to other dogs and Ericca knew just how to handle him. Arlo spent the entire day with Ericca and he had a great time. We will definitely be working with her again!”

About: Dependable dog walker, puppy playdate scheduler, and boarder! While you're out on vacation, make sure your dog gets a vacation too! We know they'll love it here! Over 15 years experience of dog walking, training, boarding, an interactive dog play. As a small business owner, I'm able to set my own days and to work around clients' needs of sitting, walking, training, and playing with furry friends! We usually spend the majority of our days outside in the fenced in yard. I have a heater on the patio for the frigid days so we can all be comfy and still get out exercise in! Schedules work best for most dogs, with LOTS of outside time! Whether you need me to run and let your buddy outside, take them for a walk, board them while you're on vacation, or bring them here for the day to stay busy and active, I've got you covered!
“Carolyn watched my pup while I was in the area visiting with a friend. She was super easy to communicate with leading up to and during the the stay. Carolyn was so nice and made me feel comfortable leaving Charlie with her. I highly recommend her! Thanks Carolyn!”

“Desiree was amazing, she responds very quickly. My 2 month old puppy came back so exhausted and I had updates and pics throughout the day. I will recommend everyone to her! And she is worth tipping because she gave excellent service.”

“This was our first experience with Rover and our first sitter for our “little” pup. Lauren was great. Very communicative & friendly. Her ranch was such a great experience for our dog with so much to explore. Thank you Lauren”

“These are the best people my dog has encountered. They answered me for a last minute request on Rover which was a huge blessing. My dog got the chance to experience life on a boat for a day. They interacted with her the entire day, and wore her out. They both gave my dog so much love and she needed it because we're going through a hard time with a temporary small living situation. They were very respectful of how I have raised my own dog and wanted to be positive that I was okay with having my dog going on a boat ride. My dog got to swim for the first time.”

About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was 5 years old, when I got my very first dachshunds—Peanut and Sweetie. By the time I was 9, I had adopted a shelter dachshund and raised two more dachshund puppies, bringing my total to five dogs at once. I personally trained all of them, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding dog behavior, especially with independent or energetic breeds like dachshunds. Throughout middle school and my teen years, I helped neighbors by dog sitting, walking, and doing drop-in visits, often just for playtime and companionship. One of the dogs I cared for regularly was a sweet senior named Duke, who I’d take outside and spend time with while his owner was away. These experiences taught me how to adapt my care for both high-energy pups and older dogs who need a gentler, more patient approach. In addition to my pet care experience, I am also a dancer, choreographer, and educator. Through years of teaching and working with students of all ages, I’ve developed strong skills in patience, attentiveness, and understanding individual needs—qualities that naturally carry over into the way I care for animals. I also have years of experience caring for cats—both my family’s and now my own sweet cat, Tom. I understand feline behavior, how to earn their trust, and how to create a calm, safe environment where they feel comfortable while you’re away. As a stay-at-home mom to my 2-month-old baby, I’m home often and have a flexible, attentive schedule. I truly value creating a calm, safe, and loving environment—for both pets and people. Whether it’s puppies, seniors, small breeds, or shy kitties, I bring patience, love, and reliable care to every visit. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life. I genuinely love spending time with animals, and I build my schedule to be available when pets need me most—whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening playtime. I’m flexible, dependable, and happy to accommodate different routines, including weekend or last-minute needs. Caring for pets doesn’t feel like a chore to me—it’s something I truly enjoy. I prioritize each pet’s safety and comfort above all else. In your home, I follow your routines closely to ensure your pet feels secure and stress-free. I always keep a close eye on surroundings during walks, avoiding unsafe areas or triggers. I’m familiar with handling pets with anxiety, special diets, or medication needs, and I treat every space with respect—leaving it clean and exactly how I found it. Whether I’m in your home or caring for your pet during a walk, you can count on me to show up with calm energy, attentiveness, and love.

About: I bring a unique level of structure, energy, and reliability to pet care through my experience as a college coach. My daily work revolves around building routines, paying attention to small details, and making sure individuals are supported and performing at their best — and I carry that same approach into caring for dogs. I am highly dependable and organized, so you can trust that your dog’s schedule, feeding routine, and exercise needs will be handled consistently. I also bring an active lifestyle, which is great for dogs that need engaging walks, playtime, and attention. What sets me apart is the level of care and awareness I provide. I pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and any changes, and I prioritize clear communication so you always feel confident while you are away. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, safe, and well cared for at all times My schedule is currently wide open following the end of the swim season, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care throughout the week and weekends. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog. I create a safe, comfortable environment where your pet feels secure and cared for at all times. I pay close attention to their needs, keep a watchful eye during walks, and always make sure you are updated so you can relax knowing they are in good hands.
“Mark & Sylva were great hosts for my dog when we needed a few hours of care while my son toured a nearby college. They were welcoming and kind and did a great job with her. I'd happily book again if we're in Troy in the future. Thank you!”
“My dog stayed with Julia for the day. Julia was flexible with drop off, easy to coordinate with, is very kind and has a great space! Her dog is wonderful too! I felt very comfortable leaving Bruno at her house and hope to use her again. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you, Julia!”

“Walter had such a wonderful stay! He loved playing with the other puppies and came home ready for a long sleep! Great communication and felt very safe. Thanks so much!”

About: I have had pets since I was 4 years old! I love having pets in my home and making them a part of my family. My dog loves every dog she has ever met and loves to have a playmate! If you bring your pet to my house they will be treated like one of my family members! I work full time Monday-Friday 7:30-4, but my husband works from home and I am home all day during the weekends. My husband also loves dogs and has plenty of free time during his work day to take walks and give lots of love! I have a fenced in back yard with lots of room for running. We are on a cul de sac so there is very little traffic in my part of the neighborhood. My home also has several baby gates to make sure that your pet is safe if I have to leave them in the house for a short amount of time.
About: I’m new to dog sitting professionally, but caring for dogs is something I’ve done my entire life. I grew up around dogs and have hands-on experience with a variety of breeds, including breeding and raising them. This background has given me a strong understanding of dog behavior, needs, and how to handle different temperaments. I currently own a large Great Dane, so I’m very comfortable managing big, powerful dogs as well as smaller breeds. From feeding routines and exercise to recognizing signs of stress or illness, I’m confident in providing attentive, reliable care. My lifelong experience with animals allows me to create a safe, loving, and structured environment for every dog I care for. As a stay-at-home dog mom, caring for animals is already a natural part of my daily life. My schedule is centered around being home, which allows me to give pets the time, attention, and consistency they deserve. Because I’m not juggling a traditional 9–5, I’m able to provide flexible, reliable care—whether that means regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, or just being there to keep your pet company. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine, and I truly enjoy making animals feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. When pets stay in my home, they become part of a calm, loving environment alongside my own dog, who is friendly, social, and used to being around other animals. I always take the time to introduce pets slowly and safely to make sure everyone feels comfortable and gets along well. Throughout their stay, I provide constant supervision, plenty of playtime, regular potty breaks, and a consistent routine. I also pay close attention to each pet’s personality—whether they love to play or prefer a more relaxed, quiet space—and adjust accordingly. If needed, I can separate pets to give them their own space and ensure everyone feels safe. My goal is to create a home-away-from-home where your pet feels secure, happy, and well cared for while also enjoying positive social interaction.
About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. Been boarding and running daycare full time for 10+ years. I have studied dog behaviors, CPR trained, used to train and have spent my life learning dogs. Part of my business is even making pet products like bow ties, bandanas, toys, healthy treats, signs and organic paw wax. I run my boarding and daycare full time. It is what i live every day. I board 7 days a week and run daycare Tues-Fri We have a large dog specific room which daycare is run out of (while boarding your dog can join daycare for no extra cost) this room has a dog door that leads to the large fenced in yard. Once daycare is complete or dog dependent, the door comes open and the pups join our pack (2) snuggling on the couch and begging in the kitchen 😉
“Katie came through for me last minute and was absolutely wonderful with my two pups! I was in Albany for a family event and scrambling to find dog care after my original plans fell through. Thankfully, Katie was available and took great care of them for the day so I could enjoy time with my family stress-free. She was patient, attentive, and especially caring with my sweet 3-legged girl. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. I’m very grateful for her help and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate dog sitter!”

I’m recently retired and know how challenging it can be to find excellent care for our beloved pets. I am home now and would love to relieve your stress about your dog’s care. I live in a rural setting and can take your dog for long walks. My dogs are on an invisible fence system. Boomer and Dash, my two sweet dogs, love other playmates and share toys. Your pup will quickly become one of the family.

“Net did a fantastic job with our dog’s first Rover experience and we were happy to get the photos, update and report cards - assurance our dog was being treated great while we were away. We will be booking with Net again!”

About: I have donated many hours going to my local dog shealter and dealing with many different types of dogs. Learning each of their personalities was one of my favorite things about going there. I then ended up adopting one myself! I have just graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh and still am unsure of my next move in life. I have such a strong passion for animals and love spending time with them and also doing what is necessary to make their lives better. I have a big back yard with no neighboring dogs, this allows for my one dog to have the best time back there. I have a 30 ft leash and balls are provided!
“Renee was an absolute pup saver for me on my Tallahassee work trip! I got stuck in meetings all day, feeling terrible for my pup who was stuck in the hotel room. I was weary of using a stranger to care for my pup but I read some reviews on Renee and decided to hire her on here. She was so responsive and pleasant right off the bat. Renee went to my hotel, got my pup and took him to the dog park while sending pictures the whole time. She certainly eased my anxiety and gave my boy a couple awesome adventures! Thanks so much Renee you were so good to my pup!”

Thank you Kate for taking such a good care of my dog while I was away 🙏🏻”

It had been several months since Bogey stayed with Peg, but he was immediately excited when we arrived and rushed toward the house. “John was amazing! Super responsive, even to a last-minute/ day-of booking! He took wonderful care of our lil Roxy, and sent lots of updates and photos throughout the days, which we so appreciated :) She’s 15 years old and can sometimes be a little skiddish, but she took right to him and he made her feel right at home. He’s a great dog sitter and was very kind and caring, will definitely be booking with him again!”
