“Nicholas was a great caretaker for our 9 year old dog. He has a great backyard which our dog loved and a warm family environment. Nicholas was very flexible with us as our plans changed and he is extremely easy to work with. Would highly recommend and we are going to rebook.”

“Ruchi and her husband are so wonderful during our dogs stay at their house. I was a bit nervous as I’ve never left our dogs with a sitter before and she was incredibly communicative and proactive. She sent us so many pictures which set us at ease and she was genuinely kind and lovely. Would recommend!”

“Rosan did a wonderful job watching Kennedy. She is nervous in new places and it seems like she was calm as could be in their home. She had a great time playing with their dog Auggie and came back home tired and happy. Would definitely recommend!”

“Natalie and Patrick took wonderful care of Bert as always. I really appreciate their frequent updates and pictures. He came home a very tired and very happy boy :) He is already looking forward to his next stay.”

“Brooke was great! Sent us texts and pics of Cosette and assured us Cosette was doing well! Difficult to find a pet sitter that you feel very comfortable with and know that your beloved pet is in good hands! We did!!!”

“Jyotidipta and his family took exceptional care of Luna. From the start, they were warm, flexible, and incredibly accommodating. Luna can be a bit anxious when meeting someone new, but they handled it with patience and care, making sure she felt safe and at ease within just a few hours. Their home environment is attentive and engaging. Jyotidipta’s son played a big role in keeping Luna active and happy, with plenty of playtime, exercise, and walks throughout the day. I especially appreciated the regular updates. The photos and videos gave me full peace of mind and showed just how much attention and affection she was receiving. It’s clear Luna was not just looked after, but genuinely cared for. I would confidently recommend Jyotidipta to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful caregiver.”

About: I've had pets my entire life. For over 40 years, I've raised puppies and kitties into well-behaved, loved members of my family. I have some experience giving medicine and training. I work from home 4 days of the work week and even on the day that I’m away, pets are never left alone for more than 5-6 hours a day, which is rare at that. I walk our dog daily and there is plenty of time to go out and play in a fenced yard multiples times during the day. As mentioned above, we lets our dogs get plenty of fresh air and exercise and they are rarely alone for long stretches at a time. If I'm taking care of a pet in their own home, those pets can get walks and regular visits based on their needs.
“John was a fantastic sitter for our very energetic puppy. He provided us with updates multiple times a day and took great care of her. It was so nice to know our little pup was in great hands and had John’s own dogs to play with.”

“Our sweet Vera was recovering from ACL repair, and we are deeply grateful to Deb for taking care of her so beautifully while we attended a 3 day series of wedding events. She made sure Vera had walks of the length and nature she is permitted and cuddled her at night when she needed reassurance about our absence. Her home is incredibly suited to doggie fun and safety with a fenced play yard and even a poo;l on her deck for hot days. Vera loved sitting in the pool while cooling off during our recent heat spell. Deb's extensive knowledge of dog behavior provided new insights to us; she helped us understand some of Vera's responses when we arrived and affirmed the findings of our pet shrink (yes we had one when she was a puppy). Frequent photos and updates from Deb not only exceeded expectations but they also reassured us during a difficult time for leaving Vera. No sitter or boarding facility has made us so happy and comfortable in our three decades of dog ownership. We are deeply grateful to have Deb on our team!”

“Couldn’t imagine better care! I boarded my pup with Michele for a few days, and she was super communicative, flexible and kind. I could tell my pup felt comfortable with her right away. Would recommend her in a heartbeat!”

“I cannot say enough great things about Charlene!! She was so kind and accommodating! She updated with pictures and communication. Lou can be a bit grumpy and doesn’t warm up to strangers very quickly but by night two with Charlene he was snuggling up with her! She is a true dog whisper with a very calming and welcoming demeanor!!! I would recommend her 100 times over!!!! We will 100% be coming back to her!! Lou loved her a ton and played well with her cute pup Scout!”

“Well all I have to say is wow. What a wonderful experience. Best sitter ever. I had used 2 other folks on Rover before and both were not good. She communicated and gave my pup good attention and love. Would highly recommend this sitter”

“We had a sitter back out last minute with a trip we had booked for a couple of months. We have a young, anxious, high strung dog and we were worried about leaving him somewhere that’s too stimulating, like a kennel. We were traveling from Maine to Vermont so I decided to try Rover and see if somebody could watch him for us in the city we were staying in, so we could be available if there was a problem. Paul responded quickly and accepted Bjorn’s stay within five days of the trip. We kept Bjorn during the day but we dropped him off in the evenings. Paul was quick to respond in all communications about Bjorn, whether it be about drop off/pick up, care, questions about how he was doing. He even problem solved when Bjorn was too nervous to use the bathroom, and asked me for tips when he was struggling to eat. We also got pictures throughout his stay. He made me feel super comfortable leaving my nervous baby with him and didn’t make us feel like Bjorn was too much (which I know he is). We appreciated Paul’s care of Bjorn so much, it really took the stress off during our trip.”

About: Long story short: I have YEARS of experience and a deep love of all animals! I'm great with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities! Happy to walk them all! Must be kid-friendly if sitting happens in my home. Good with cats for in-your-home pet-sitting The Long Version: I've had dogs in my home since I was a kid. I also have experience with cats, as we had cats first when I was younger, and at one point had multiple cats in the home at once, and also had two cats and two dogs at one time. In college I volunteered at a local rescue and walked dogs of all sizes and personalities several days a week. I ended up adopting one of those dogs, and had her from the age of about 4, until her passing a couple years ago at around age 15. She was an absolute love, but she also could be very reactive on walks/ in public. She was extremely particular about which dogs she approved and even when she found one she'd be okay with, she often took quite a careful, long introduction to make it work. We went through behavioral training and made some progress, and I was able to take her on many adventures, even despite her still being a bit reactive. I learned a lot about dog behavior and socialization with her. Over the years we also rehab'd an ACL injury and recovery, and had to make life/ home/ meds modifications as she got older and needed some more senior dog TLC. I am happy to visit/ walk any dogs, behavioral "quirks" and all, as long as I know about their strengths, challenges, and how to support them, in advance. For boarding/ any care within my own home, I am only able to accept dogs that are excellent with young children (I have two dog-loving kids under age 5). I'm a teacher, so my schedule varies based on the time of year! During the school year: I can do weekend walks, or dog sitting, ideally at my home, through the weekend. During the summer months: My schedule is flexible! I'm happy to do quick potty breaks for pups during the day, regular walks, filling in for random days you have to work longer than usual, boarding/ dog sitting (again, ideally at my home since I have two little kids) I've always loved my pets as members of the family! I will give your pet all the love and care that I'd give my own! I am happy to follow any pre-established expectations and appreciate knowing anything that's going to help make my time with your pet as comfortable and fun for them as possible in your absence. I also love capturing adorable pictures of animals lounging, playing, etc. so I will definitely send pics during / after my visit if you want them! We don't currently have any pets in our home. Our dogs were allowed on the couch, bed, anywhere, and I was usually curled right up with them, but I of course plan to follow any rules/ standard expectations that you have established for your pets and/or your home.

“Niki gave me such peace of mind during my trip away from my senior dog. He has some health issues and can be a very picky eater but Niki was able to get him to take his meds and eat, so I was able to enjoy my trip and not worry about my pup the whole time. She was so patient with him!! She was also great with my cats and went above and beyond taking care of the group. She gave detailed updates EVERY time she came over, which was so nice. I would absolutely recommend Niki! She really treats your animals like they’re her own!”
“Ben did a wonderful job managing our critters. We were very pleased with his work and will definitely hire him again. He kept us updated while we were away and we didn't have to worry about their safety, care, watering, or feeding. We highly recommend Ben.”

“Jocelyn was great! Provided wonderful updates and was very pleasant to chat with. I knew from the start that our cat was in good hands and Jocelyn kept proving that to be true each day. If you want someone who will go the extra mile to make sure your pets are loved while you’re away, Jocelyn is your person!”

About: I have had cats my entire life and currently have 3 of my own. I treat all my animals like my children. I have had all my cats since they were kittens and my oldest is 13yo. So, i am comfortable with all ages. I am also comfortable and have experience with giving medicine too, if needed.
“Erica is fantastic! This was our first time using a pet sitting service and we were nervous, but Erica quickly put our minds at ease. She came over before the booking to meet our cat, Gilbert, and they immediately clicked. She is clearly a pet-person. We booked Erica for a week of drop-in visits while we were away on vacation. She was punctual and a great communicator, sending pictures of our fur baby each day. There was a major snowstorm and 12+ hour power outage while we were away, and Erica went above and beyond to communicate with us and make sure Gilbert’s needs were met. She even shoveled our walkway! We highly recommend Erica and will definitely book with her again.”

About: Attention to detail and understanding that each pet has unique needs is very important to me. I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved for while you’re away. I’m flexible with my scheduling including last minute bookings when possible. I prioritize clear communication by sending regular updates such as photos/videos and check-ins with owners. Being gentle with senior cats who may need extra attention, slower paced care, or administration of medication during my visit. My goal is to help every pet feel at home and give owners peace of mind.
“Brittany did a great job looking after my cats, everything was well taken care of and I appreciated the status updates and pictures of them she sent. I will definitely book her again.”

About: I own two adorable, silly cats, Toast and Beans. I also grew up with a cat named Maggie and have cat sit for other people’s cats before. I have experience managing two cats that don’t get along well, deep cleaning litter boxes, and giving cats pills and other medications.
About: Have had pets since I was a child, over 20 years. I am a current pet and livestock owner. I have dogs, goats, bunnies and chickens. I am available most week days and every other weekend. I can be flexible, but it would have to work around my full time job. I am willing to drop in and walk your dog for as long as you'd like. Will play catch, ball and run them when possible.
About: I have taken care of all kinds of animals, since growing up on a dairy farm in Charlotte, VT. I love dogs and finally have one of my own, and Austrailian Shepard, he happily plays with all dogs and enjoys off lease pack walks at local areas. I do overnight, day boarding, and pick up to play. I'm very flexible and happy to work at a short notice. I work from home and have my own business that gives the flexibility to work around my dogs schedule. I have a fenced in yard, along with a park right next door. Not only will they be mostly outside while they are here, they will get plenty of exercise and down time if needed.
“I recently hired Jess to take care of my Tommy while I was away, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the very beginning, Jess was professional, communicative, and clearly passionate about animals. During our meet-and-greet, Jess took the time to understand my pet’s routine and needs, which put my mind at ease. When I returned, my Tommy was happy and well-cared for, which is the best indicator of a great pet sitter. I highly recommend Jess to anyone looking for reliable and loving care for their furry family members!”

I’m self-employed, which means very flexible hours. Weekends are not out of the question with notice. I always try to find ways to make scheduling work. I will make sure that your loving companions are safe, fed, walked (if applicable), loved and attended to for the entire duration of my visit.
“Karen was absolutely wonderful with my two cats. She stayed in my house with them for over a week during Christmas and New Years, was a great communicator, kept me updated with photos, and I felt very reassured leaving my pets with someone so responsible. Upon my return everything was tidy, the cats were well fed with extra food and water laid out, and litter boxes cleaned. It was a great experience and so wonderful having her take care of them while I was away so I could relax and enjoy my vacation worry free.”

About: I grew up around dogs. I volunteered with my aunt that rescued dogs until I could get my own. My Aunt has about 10-15 dogs on average at a time and the rescue organization had close to 50 dogs at a time I was volunteering there. I had 2 Wheaten Terrier mixes rescues one 16 years and another 12 years old. I had a 90lb, 11 year old Golden Doodle. I often house sit for my grandparents who have an Airedale Terrier. I also have experience working with dogs in the military. I love working with dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. I am trying out this service to walk some dogs, do some feedings and let outs for bathroom brakes while you're away, but mostly I love dogs. I have experience with dogs with cataracts, arthritis, and incontinence and I have experience working with other dogs with disabilities. I'd be willing to have dogs in my car. I am flexible with your dogs' training requirements. I am working full time and I have the ability to take care of your dog. Id love to take your dog to the park on the weekends. I can not board dogs currently; I'm sorry if this does not meet your needs. I would love to take care of your dog in your home while you're away.

“Rosan was great with our pup! He was very communicative, friendly, and flexible. We were visiting from out of town and booked him for two doggy day care days with really no set itinerary and he was understanding and accommodating :) If we travel back to the area in the future we would absolutely book him again!”

“I would highly recommend Dawn to take care of your fur baby; she cared for my rambunctious Goldendoodle as if he were her own. She is conveniently located in a quaint neighborhood that has limited traffic and no unleashed dogs; so, in addition to getting exercise in Dawn’s fenced in backyard, my puppy got exercise when Dawn walked around the neighborhood. After playing with toys supplied by Dawn, my dog cozied up to her dog for a nap. I was so hesitant to leave my precious baby with a complete stranger (he’s my first ever dog and I love him so much), but after meeting Dawn, I felt completely at ease entrusting her to take the greatest care of him. She definitely has a love of animals. Thank you, Dawn. Rusty ? and Kelly”

“Our dog had an amazing time at daycare with Jake and Echo! They sent us pictures every day to let us know how he was doing and his communication was fantastic. They were also super flexible and accommodating with our drop off and pickup schedule. By the end of the week our dog was so excited to go visit every day. Will absolutely be bringing him back in the future!”

“Saveliy was a great sitter for our dog Lucy while we were on vacation in Lake Placid!! He had a very nice setup in his home for her with multiple dog beds and even one setup by a front window for her to lookout. He was also very communicative and kept us updated throughout the day with pictures which I really appreciated. Especially because Lucy is very timid so I’m always a bit nervous leaving her in new places but he really put us (my husband and I) at ease. I would definitely recommend Saveliy if you need a sitter in the lake placid area!”

“Our dog Lyra had a lovely first day with Eric. Eric sent us frequent photo updates (one of Lyra snuggling on the couch, a great sign) and took her on some walks. Lyra came home calm and content. We'll definitely work with Eric again and would recommend him.”

“Zoraya took great care of Aila! Aila came home well exercised and tired from the day. Zoraya kept me updated on how Aila was doing and had quick response time. I will definitely be rebooking daycare!”

“We couldn’t be more grateful to Jocelyn for taking such great care of Wakely while we were out hiking! She went above and beyond by coming directly to our RV campsite, which made everything so much easier for us. Her communication was fantastic—prompt, clear, and thoughtful throughout the entire process. We especially appreciated the Rover card she shared after her visit with Wakely—it was detailed and reassuring, and it was clear she treated him with so much care. Highly recommend Jocelyn to anyone looking for a dependable, compassionate pet sitter!”

Back in CO I house sat and watched dogs frequently and loved it , now I work at a Canine daycare and Training facility in Plattsburgh Tuesday-Friday. Brings me joy everyday to help people take care of their fur babies ❤️ I work Tuesday through Thursday throughout the day but have a lengthy lunch break that I can leave and assist others with their pets , Friday I have a half day so Im available all afternoon. Saturday- Monday I’m available for overnight boarding and checkins ( walks , feeding , etc ) . Let me care for your fur baby while you’re away ! I have a large yard with one well behaved girl dog and two cats, I can provide a run line if wanted or just frequent leashed walks if that’s preferred . There are plenty of toys and outdoor shade , as well as a baby pool for cooling off in summer . I have a XXL crate so I can crate your animals if wanted/necessary , and a “Pet room” where they can sleep on the bed or chair as they desire.
About: Aside from having a family dog for 15 years, I have house/pet-sitting experience working for family members and close friends since 2007. I have never met a pet I didn’t adore. I’m self-employed, which means very flexible hours. Weekends are not out of the question with notice. I always try to find ways to make scheduling work. I will make sure that your loving companions are safe, fed, walked (if applicable), loved and attended to for the entire duration of my visit.
“Kazmin was a life saver! She was so patient with our pandemic puppy on the first visit and by the second visit they were best buddies!! Kazmin sent loads of pictures from her visit and was timely each day that she came. We couldn’t be more thankful!”

“We hired Shelby to meet us at a half marathon and watch our dogs while we ran. We were traveling from Maryland to Vermont and then on to Rhode Island, and we didn’t want to leave our dogs alone. She was AMAZING! Our 2 dogs loved her from the start and we felt comfortable leaving them with her to keep safe. If we were ever to find ourselves in Vermont again, we would definitely look her up! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: Relationship with animals has always been a passion of mine. I started grooming dogs with my grandmother at the age of 10, but was her assistant long before I earned the title. It brings me joy and fulfillment to care for pups and cats alike, while creating an environment where they (and you) can feel safe and earn my trust in the process. As a part time bartender at Pascolo Restaurant in Downtown Burlington, it would fit into my schedule to walk dogs in the morning, afternoon and early evening as well as weekends. There is a lot of freedom to work around your schedule :) In my home, I live off of Main Street in Vergennes and can provide safe walking around town as well as some of the trails near by. In your home, I am quick to adapt to whatever will make you most comfortable!
About: I’ve been dog sitting since I was 17. I have had lots of experience walking active larger breeds and taking care of puppies, kittens and cats. When I’m not hanging out with animals, I stay active and creative. Over the years I’ve worked as a preschool teacher, full time nanny, swim coach/ instructor and security guard in New York as well as Northern California. I believe that understanding animals vocal and physical actions through sincere intuitive observation, is the most important quality to have when taking care of a pet and their needs. Safety, trust & environment; There are many safe trails throughout the Adirondacks that I’m comfortable walking dogs on and I always bring water to share with a on the go water bowl! When traveling with animals I always put on a gentle playlist I made for my own pets to ensure they don’t get any anxiety from the sounds of being on the road. I have a great amount of experience with bathing/ washing dogs and cats for either sensitive issues or just a routine bath for a muddy pup. I have lots of experience with handling and providing medication to animals, as well as bottle feeding with a gentle approach.

About: As a dog mom of three, I understand how important routine, safety, and trust are when someone else is caring for your dog. I provide in-home sitting, walks, and drop-in visits. I’ve cared for both large and small breeds, as well as puppies and senior dogs. I’m comfortable administering medications if needed. My goal is to make sure both you and your dog feel completely at ease while you’re away. Since I work online from home, I can be with your pets throughout the day, giving them love, attention, walks, playtime, and everything they need. Occasionally, I step out for short house cleanings, but I would only be gone for a couple of hours at most. In your home, I make sure your pets are safe, cared for, and loved. I follow their routines, provide walks and playtime, and keep them happy and comfortable while you’re away.
About: From as far back as I can remember I have been living animals and taking care of them. I have always had a large variety of pets and then worked in Petsmart in high school to gain a greater understanding of pet care needs. My love of animals continued to follow me through out school where I got a degree in environmental biology and have been working with wild life ever since. I still have pets but I would love to meet yours and care for them as if they were my own! So currently I am working seasonally in marine biology and fisheries and have just got off a boat for the season. Because of this I have ample time to tend to your pets needs until I head back out to sea next summer. I will be working part time on the slopes this winter but making time to take care of pets is a routine that I am used to so I would be happy to make my winter schedule work with yours. I believe a tired dog is a good dog, I too need exercise so I plan to keep your pet active and engage to help them get to know me and take their mind off you not being there. I also have a very old arthritic dog at the moment so I realize not all pets should be as physically active as others and will pay close attention to any specific needs your pet has to ensure they are happy and healthy.
About: I have been providing care for animals since I was 13. I have worked with and provided sitting and supervision for animals of all kinds big and small. Having animals of my own, I have come to see the extreme need for good honest sitters to care for your pets while you are away from home. As a nurse for over 33 years, I have also had the privilege of seeing first-hand the impact animals have on a person's life. I will not only take care of all your pet needs, I will assure you and your family will enjoy time away knowing your pets are safe and happy. My current experience has been working with all animals including pregnant mommas, newborns, adults, disability needs, and hospice. I currently am a foster mom and have provided a safe loving environment until they find their forever homes. I have devoted my life caring for pets and do this on a full-time basis to provide and dedicate every moment I have to your pets needs. My home has a fenced in yard, area in my home for privacy and rest, and more love than any one pet could need. I will also do overnights at your home so your pets can feel comfortable in their own environment.

About: I have had dogs my whole life and have taken care of a variety of dogs since I was young, including puppies and senior dogs. I also have raised goats and chickens for years. I have a large fenced in yard for plenty of outdoor playtime and access to acres of wooded trails outside my backyard. I love hiking with dogs as well as playing outside. I treat each dog like a member of my family when they stay with me ensuring they are comfortable, loved, and getting their needs met. I look forward to getting to know your dog. I am available for boarding on the weekends and will customize the care to fit the need of your dog and take the lead from the owner. I have a fully fenced in yard for dogs to safely run around. I follow clear expectations provided by the owner and individualize care to the needs of each dog ensuring they are safe, happy, and comfortable.
“Laura and her family were wonderful with my dog. Laura is very responsive and went out of her way to make drop off and pick up convenient for me. She sent me daily updates, and my dog had a BLAST playing on her beautiful property. I very highly recommend her!”

“Let me just start by saying my dog is kind of a handful with seperation anxiety and a tendency to be pretty vocal, it has been hard to find a sitter that is patient and understanding enough that I also trust with my pup. Kimberly is by far the best dogsitter we’ve ever had, she went above and beyond for my Tony and clearly is very experienced with dogs. He has never been so happy and calm when I’ve picked him up anywhere else, she provided daily pictures/videos/updates and was a breeze to communicate with. Would recommend to anyone and everyone, could not have had a better experience than we did with Kimberly!”
