“At first I was skeptical about using Rover to find someone to care for my German Shepherd that I just adopted and because of moving reasons I needed a place for him to be until my place was ready. I came across Jin, and she was immediately available, and I couldn't be more lucky to have found such an amazing human been, she took care of my Tony so good, with constant pictures and follow ups about his activities. I will only use her services to care for my dog. She us the best. Thank you so much for taking care my big baby tony.??”

“Crystal was amazing! She took such good care of our dog. She had great communication and sent updates with pictures! We will definitely be asking her again to watch our dog.”

“Kelsey was fantastic with Apollo. We arranged the stay on very short notice, and she was extremely accommodating. She took great care of him from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon and kept us updated throughout the weekend. Apollo seemed happy and relaxed when we picked him up. We would definitely book her again!”

“We were very happy with Denae and Mark taking care of our dog Daisy. We received pictures and updates every day letting us know how Daisy was doing. Daisy seemed to settle in quickly and was able to relax on the couch and sleep in bed. She was taken on walks. Denae and Mark have a very nice home and really love dogs! Would definitely recommend and we would use them again!”

“Hi Everyone my name is Tonka! Woof! I'm 9 and a really fun girl. I love to lounge and eat, yeah, yummy eating anything!!! But don't get me wrong I love to play. I was a little shy at first but snapped out of it fast because Dana and Jeremy took really excellent care if me, belly rubs, letting me on their stuff, and setting up a king size doggie bed for me to watch all the happenings outside the window, Woof!. And they have a great huge awesome fenced in yard to keep me safe but allow me to play! And Jeremy plowed me a path but who needs that, I love to barrel and tunnel right though the snow. Even with my short little legs. Bathroom time and play time combined. It was great. Woof! Oh well they did listen very well to my mom's instructions for feeding. Ho hum, grr, well I like to eat, but they kept me to my feedings and treats allowance. I couldn't pull one over on them. Come on a girl needs to try. Woof! Well that's it for now. I won't be afraid next time my mom goes away, I know I'll get to see Dana and Jeremy and have a blast while she's away. So give them a try, you'll love it. Woof! <3 Tonks”

“Kiara & Yves, did such an amazing job with my little kitty. She was so well cared for and the sitter was super responsive sending many nice updates and photos of Lottie. I would recommend their services to anyone who was looking for a sitter!”

“Anthony did a great job taking care of my pup. She can be shy and fearful in new situations and Anthony did a great job to keep her calm and comfortable. She enjoyed playing with his dogs, Yoki and Canelo. I enjoyed receiving updates and pictures of my pup while I was away which helped me feel at ease. Anthony is calm, reliable and welcoming. I plan to use his services again when I need them.”

“Charlette and her family took such great care of our little baby. She sent several updates and pictures all day. Because of her great care I was able to visit family with no worries about our fur baby. Thank you so much for everything you did for me!!! I will definitely use again if in the area in the future.”

“We feel so fortunate to have found Amanda. Our shy and anxious Dachshund had little experience being left with an unfamiliar person. Amanda’s calm and gentle demeanor was a great match for our dog. She was patient in allowing Luna time to warm up to her, which she eventually did. We highly recommend Amanda and will not hesitate to leave Luna in her care in the future!”

“Elisabeth was absolutely incredible at taking care of our cat. I didn't have to worry for a second while we were on vacation because I knew he was in good hands. She sent lots of pictures and clear feedback and even wrote us an endearing note about her time with our boy. Absolutely would use her services again and again.”

“This was my first time using a sitter from Rover and I’m glad I chose Jenna! She wasn’t pictures and updates every day, and even my shy cat Macey came out to see her! And she made sure my other cat got his thyroid medicine on time every day. Would definitely book with her again!”

About: Hi! I’m Katy! I am a veterinary assistant working at McClelland Small Animal Hospital, and I’m pet sitting to help pay for my dream honeymoon! I’ve had pets my entire life, and I’m so fortunate to be able to help care for others' pets every day. I will love and treat your critters like they are my own, as taking care of animals is truly my passion. I currently work full time at an animal hospital and own 3 dogs, a cat, and a husband (haha) so pet care is second nature to me. When I’m entrusted in caring for your pet and your home, I will be there all night and in the morning before I head into work. I will check on them during my lunch hour and come right back to them right after work. I'm always incredibly respectful of my clients homes, ensuring things are just as neat and tidy (if not more so) than they were when I arrived. Mail will be brought in, trash taken out, and bed linens cleaned. You're on a vacation, why worry about cleaning up when you get home?!
“Ciara took great care of my two cats (18 and 8 yrs)! She also administered my older cat medication twice a day. She sent frequent updates and photos of my babies which really helped to set my mind at ease. I have utilized her services in the past and will not to hesitate to contact her in the future! I recommend her services 100%!”

About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was a child. I had a cat named Snickers who had kittens. Then, I had two boy cats named Butterscotch and Cutie. Then a cat named Molly who passed away from a stomach tumor. Then we had two girls named Pinta and Sandy. I’ve fed my neighbors cat when they were traveling before and also watched my friend’s two cats while he was away. I love them!

About: I’ve always had cats growing up. Currently, I have a Persian cat who is very high maintenance. She requires to be brushed and cleaned every day (and demands a clean litter box at all times). I absolutely adore everything about cats and will provide the best care for yours!
“Emma is a wonderful sitter! We felt at ease being away knowing our cat was in her care. She was very communicative. Our cat warmed up very quickly. She took extra care of our little guy with some extra needs (special diet, medication). Highly recommend Emma. Will be booking again for our next trip!”

“This was the second time we booked Kelsey to take care of our cat, Simon, for a week while we were away on a trip. She did an AMAZING job with him again! She continues to be our first choice for a sitter for him. Simon is very sweet and playful, but can be a bit shy at first and Kelsey has been so patient and kind with him and Simon came out of his shell quickly for pets, playtime, and treats. He ate his food too quick and threw up one day, which Kelsey noticed and noted in the Rover card - she's observant and it was easy enjoying our trip knowing he was in good hands. If you're looking for a communicative, kind, and observant sitter for your cat (or dog), definitely consider Kelsey. As a pet parent you always worry about your pet's health and happiness while you're away and Kelsey does a great job taking care of both.”

“Alyssa was so amazing with my fur babies. She sent daily photos and was extremely communicative. Also cleaned up behind them when they were being a bit naughty (knocked over plants lol) Ultimately, I came home to a clean litter box and extremely happy kittens. I am certain they will miss her and I intend to rebook with Alyssa in the future.”

“She is so perfect for all pets. I have dogs of all sizes and personalities and she handles them all with care. I absolutely love her and she will always be my go to whenever I need a sitter. I got new photos and constant updates while I was at work I knew they were at home having so much fun!!!! Thank You!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Caitlin was great! We have an indoor/outdoor cat and she came every day to check on her to make sure everything was ok. Kept in touch and gave us updates. When we go on vacation again, we'll be reaching out. P.s. Cutie is home safe and sound ☺️”

“Karen was amazing with my 2 furry guys! She was calm, caring and took great attention to them. Jack needed daily pills and she was able to do that effortlessly. Karen shared multiple daily texts and pictures too! She was so gracious and left my house very clean upon returning from a week long family vacation. Very kind, respectable and caring-top notch and I highly recommend. Thank you Karen!!”

I have also briefly owned horses building the skillset of hygiene care for larger animals. I absolutely love dogs. I have had experience with small dogs all the way up to English Mastiff and Ridgeback sizes. I have been a helpful pet sitter for many family members and some friends. I absolutely love animals and plan to incorporate them into my therapeutic process with clients in the future. I love to be outside year-round, especially fall and winter, so I will be active with animals in snow/cold or sunshine which means walks and playing! I have three cats who have everything they need including love and grooming! I have a three-legged cat who requires more care for hygiene and grooming, so he gets lion cuts every so often. All of my cats get treats and are spoiled with love. I am flexible and willing to work around whatever is needed for safety and the environment. I would prefer to do house visits and drop-ins to feed/let outside, etc. I would need to be provided equipment like leashes, crates, food bowls, food, etc. I do not want to disrupt your pet's routine or familiarity of their own materials.
About: I've grown up with pets my entire life and have had 2 of my own dogs. They both had medical issues so I am very familiar with administering medications and preparing special meals. My home is currently pet-free and I would be so happy to spend time with your dog while you're away. I have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby. I currently work part time and always have Wednesdays and Fridays-Sundays off. I also have some Tuesdays off, and if I do work on Tuesdays it is only from 8-2. Mondays can be discussed. My house has a fully fenced in backyard and I never leave dogs outside unattended. Dogs are welcome to snuggle on my furniture and in bed with me if they like. If your dog is crate trained, feel free to bring their crate or I have a large one they can use. There are no other dogs or children in my home so your dog gets my full attention!
“An amazing sitter! She went above and beyond for us. So thankful for her and being able to drop in last minute for us. I would recommend to anyone. She handled our crazy pups so well.”

“Kiara and Yves did an amazing job watching Teddy. Once I dropped him off, he felt right at home. Kiara kept on contact with me throughout the booking to update me on Teddys status and sent several pics. Will definitely book with Kiara and Yves again if we’re in the area.”

“The Best ! We left Fergie with Crystal 2 different days so we could go sight seeing and couldn't be happier with her level of care. The first day Fergie whined a little when we left; the 2nd day she didn't even notice that we left. She loved being with Crystal & we received lots of pictures of their walks & activites. Don't hesitate to allow Crystal to watch your pup. We'll contact her again the next time we're in the Buffalo area. Thanks Crystal !”

About: I’ve taken care of many different dogs over the years and have worked at PetSmart as a pets hotel associate. I have two dogs (10 and 3 years old). I’ve also owned four cats and babysat family and friends pets before! I am home all day so I am fully available to provide care to pets. I live in an apartment with two dogs and live in walking distance to a park where my dogs love to walk. I have two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your pet if desired. I am home all day and take my dogs for at least three walks a day and we usually visit a park daily.
About: I have raised two dogs (one large bread and one small bread) both from puppy to 16 & 17yrs old. I have had three cats (one still residing with me). Currently I dog sit two fur babies since 2020. In a week I am losing one of my buddies due to his parents relocating. I am already missing him and am hoping to make some new walking and cuddling partners. I work part time on weekends but can sit with advanced notice. Monday til Wednesday I am available for anytime on shorter notice. When I have your furry sweetheart I do not leave them by themselves at all,so I like to schedule when there is nothing to conflict with the time I have them. When in my house they have no restrictions from me, only what the parent wants. I have an outside bathroom area on leash for quick bathroom trips. I like to go for at least one or two long walks per day, weather permitting and your dogs abilities. I live in a walkable neighborhood and close to parks. When at your house I will follow whatever routine your partner is used to.
“Alexis is a wonderful dog sitter. She is responsive and understanding of my dogs individual needs. He's an older boy and appreciates a good lap or couch for requent relaxation and Alexis is willing to provide that. This was our second time at doggy day care with Alexis and he rushed out of the car to visit her again!”

“Lucy had a great time! She played and rested and played some more. Their home is lovely and the yard is safely enclosed for outdoor fun. They are very accommodating to our weird schedule. We shall return and relax knowing Lucy is well cared for!”

“My fur girl really enjoys her time with Melissa — Melissa is in tune with her needs and can read her cues well. I’d recommend Melissa to anyone who has a fur baby who needs extra TLC!”

“Akeira was such a responsible and kind dogsitter. She kept me updated regularly, which made a big difference. Her dog, Eleanor, is wonderfully gentle and got along so well with my pups. Akeira really put care and attention into making sure they were happy and healthy, including taking them on walks. The fact that my dogs were excited to see her every morning at drop-off says everything. I’d happily trust her with them again.”

“Mindy is an excellent, patient and understanding dog sitter. She watched our puppy for a few days, and made more progress with his loose leash walking than we’ve managed to! She’s a real animal lover, and it shows. Our puppy was super exited to see her when I dropped him off on his third day with her. He got to play in the backyard with other dogs, get accustomed to cats thanks to Mindy’s social Bengal mix, and got plenty of walks, exercise and cozy naps. She sent me photos and videos throughout the day.”

About: Hi! I'm Caitlin and I have worked with animals professionally for over 10 years in grooming, boarding, training and animal shelters. Now, I work remotely and spend my time with my 4 cats :) My specialty and preference is in cat care and senior dogs. However, I will consider all booking requests. I am currently not able to handle very energetic animals, or animals that are very strong. I am better suited to more relaxed pets. **Important** - I currently work a full time job from home and can be flexible with scheduling. I will work from your home if booked for house sitting, so it is required I have a reliable internet connection! - At this time I require m&gs for all house sitting services before bookings, to ensure our expectations meet and to make sure your pet is comfortable with me. For long term house sitting, I highly reccomend a trial run of 1 day of daycare or a drop in visit. I work from home full time so I am available during the workday when most people are away! I love being able to hangout with new friends during my work week. Safety is and always has been my top priority. I am proudly fear free certified and have worked on extensive safety training measures in all of my professional working environments.
“Priya and her family were so good to Koda. He loved spending time with them! She gave us updates throughout the day- great communication overall. I’d definitely have her watch Koda again. He was so happy with her. :)”

About: It's Summertime!!! Bring your Pupp-a-ccinos and PuppCorn for a sleeprover to talk about. We just got a new doggie pool for the heat, and have a pop up agility course to play in. Never will a dog be off leash, will always be supervised on a 25ft long lead to have ample room to play and be safe. Parks nearby is Knox farm, memorial Park, BurchField and more. My car/dog mobile is set up with dog seatbelts so we can safely drive to our next fun destination( if approved by owner). I'm a Licensed Veterinary Technician and have been working in the animal industry for over 15 years. I am able to give quality attention and care all day. License is available upon request. Proof of vaccines and flea/tick prevention required PRIOR to drop off. I try to take only one dog but there may be an overlap of a boarding client and daycare client. Are you looking for someone who can stay with your fur baby and not be kenneled? I'm your woman. Prices may vary dependent on the needs of the client and how extensive it may be. I try to give an enriching environment for all pets that I'm caring for, but if they are more mellow, then I'm very good at snuggling. I enjoy outdoor activities and love to bring any dog who wants to explore nature with me. I can take your dog out on multiple leashed walks a day. We can go to a nearby park or sunbathe on my porch. I treat all pets like they are my own family member.
“Sasha is very personable, great energy...and Homey seemed to enjoy his stay with her on Mother's day...nice to be away and know he was well cared for...lots of pics and updates....highly recommend.”

About: I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a canine concentration, where I trained dogs in obedience, agility, Therapy Dog skills, and Canine Good Citizen preparation. I also earned a Master’s degree in Animal Science with a focus on nutrition and welfare from Cornell University. Previously, I worked as a canine caretaker for the government. Currently, I am an Agriculture Specialist for the government, with the goal of being an agriculture handler, and I am an AKC-certified Canine Good Citizen evaluator. Throughout my career, I’ve worked and volunteered in a variety of animal care settings, including animal shelters, boarding facilities, dog walking services, barns, and emergency veterinary hospitals. These experiences have given me extensive hands-on experience with both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments—including seniors, rescues, and those with medical or behavioral needs. My dog care background includes structured training, physical and mental enrichment, medication administration, and supporting behavior modification programs. I understand that every dog has their own personality, history, and sensitivities, and I approach each one with patience, empathy, and a commitment to positive, individualized care. I also have a strong foundation in cat care. I currently have a rescued cat of my own, and have fostered a 6-week-old kitten, providing around-the-clock attention and support during critical development. In my time working in emergency vet hospitals, I regularly handled cats for exams, administered medications, and assisted vet techs with bloodwork and procedures. I’ve also cared for cats in shelters and boarding facilities, gaining experience in feline behavior, enrichment, and stress-reduction techniques. I’m passionate about providing the highest quality care and comfort to every animal I work with. When I have extra time, I continue to train dogs on the side and am currently pursuing certifications and volunteer work in animal response and search & rescue, with the goal of helping animals affected by natural disasters. Whether your pet is energetic or easygoing, highly trained or just learning, I’m here to ensure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. While my work schedule rotates, I work either 4pm-12am or 8am-4pm, so I will need to work around those hours. I have reliable transportation and am flexible in meeting your pet’s unique needs. I provide a calm, structured environment with plenty of mental and physical stimulation tailored to your pet’s needs. My home includes an unfenced backyard, so I always supervise outdoor time closely. I have an extra crate available for dogs who are crate-trained or need a secure resting space. Your pet will get bathroom breaks and walks before and after my work shifts, and as often as needed on my days off. I’m also happy to go on hikes or explore new areas with your pup—if you’re comfortable with that level of adventure! While I prefer dogs and cats that are good with other cats, I can keep them separated if needed. To stay in my home, they need to be crate trained, potty trained, and not bark excessively/have separation anxiety, as I live in an apartment complex. With a background in animal science and dog training, I can offer helpful training tips or reinforce your current routine. I approach every animal with care, patience, and respect for their individual personality and boundaries. Whether your pet needs structure, exercise, or just a cozy place to feel safe, I’ll make sure they’re cared for like family.
“Sarah was very welcoming and understanding with my fur girl’s initial anxiousness in an unfamiliar environment. She offered much puppy love and reassurance that everything is okay....by mid-morning her charge finally settled down and laid near her towel.”

About: I’ve had a dog all my life. I adopted my most recent pup about 2 years ago and he’s a happy pooch. We walk three times a day and visit our nearby park regularly. He gets his yearly shots and monthly nail trimmings. I am the go-to choice to sit my friends’ pups, and have senior dog and puppy experience. I work from home, so can keep an eye on the pups and play with them regularly. I currently walk my own dog three times a day, visit the nearby park (Harlem rd park) after work most days, and visit Knox Farms dog park once or twice a month in the summer. I have a small yard 90% enclosed, so walk dogs regularly. There are friendly neighborhood dogs that we can interact with. I work from home, so play with the pups often. I promptly clean up accidents, if they do happen. I do not smoke and our house does not have animal smells. It is carpeted and we have a big sectional that animals can lounge on. We have a cat that has high safe places he can go to. I reward good behavior with praise and an occasional treat. Bad behavior is met with a stern “No”, but we have not had to break that voice out lately!
“From the very beginning, communication was clear and friendly, and I felt confident leaving my pet in Matthew and Brett’s care. During my dog stay, I received regular updates with photos, which gave me peace of mind and showed that my dog was happy and well looked after. It was clear that they genuinely cared about my furry baby, treating him with the same love and attention they would give their own. I would highly recommend Matthew and Brett to anyone looking for reliable, attentive, and compassionate care for their pets.”
“He’s a great person and a huge animal lover! Apollo loves him and loves playing with the other dogs. I highly recommend Jose for all your pet sitting needs, he’s the best!”

“Julia was so sweet and helped Finney feel right at home. She was attentive to all his needs and even sent me pictures and updates throughout the day to let me know how he was doing. I’m so happy she could help me out!”

“Nafisa was wonderful all week long! She showed up on time or early every day. She was kind enough to give me a heads up before she arrived everyday to give me time to make it to the door and have my dog ready. They bonded immediately and my neighbors noticed how well she manages his large size and energy.”

“The proof of Jackie’s expertise is with the pups. They adored her. She is obviously a dog person. We’ll be booking her again as a sitter. I know that bean and sprout will have a wonderful time with her. Thanks Jackie!”

They have nothing but smiles after every walk with him and he is always so helpful when we find ourselves in a pinch, from giving the girls another walk when we where stuck at the airport to even learning how to feed our bearded dragons for when we go on vacation. We are very very happy with Ian and will continue to book with him for sure.”

They DO get along with other animals. I am available weekends, Saturday and Sunday, all day and weekdays Monday - Friday after 5pm! About: My name is Karlyn. I started working in pet care in 2018 at a pet hotel and doggy daycare. I joined Rover in 2019, and I worked at another dog boarding facility/daycare from 2023-2025. I have extensive training in how to properly care for your dogs (and cats!) I have experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have three rescue dogs; a 12 year old Papillon named Archie, a 2 year old Papillon named Zoloft, and a 6 year old Maltipoo named Toaster! Although I absolutely adore all dogs, small dogs will always hold a special place in my heart. A little more about me: I am 31 years old and I am an on-set prop master in television/film. I am located in Cheektowaga, but I have a car so I don’t mind traveling a few extra miles! I work freelance so I have an abundance of free time between films! I have no other responsibilities when I’m off set, so I can focus all of my energy on your furry friend! I do everything in my power to make each pet feel comfortable and loved. I also spend a lot of time exercising and mentally stimulating each pet.
“This was my first time using Rover and it was just a day before I went out of town for 2 days. She replied within minutes of the initial request and asked to stop by that afternoon to meet my fluffy one and see if it was a good fit. I'm glad it was. She was very communicative and she eased my first-time-leaving-my-dog-with- a-stranger nerves. We chatted about how hot it would be (90+) and she took the dog where they didn't have to walk on the hot pavement much and had some shade. She paid attention to how my dog was handling the heat and when my dog wanted to head home. She sent pictures and updates for each walk. I will absolutely use her again when the need arises.”

About: I have had a number of small pets over the years, including, the two rescue cats I currently share with my partner. I have also had small dogs and taken care of family member’s large and other types of dogs. I love all animals and can’t wait to meet yours! I work virtually and make my own schedule so I can make pet care fit all throughout the day depending on their needs! I can be very flexible. I can offer pets any care they need- snuggles, walks, play or space if that’s what they prefer. Of course, I will be attentive to food, water, and potty time/litter boxes.
About: I’ve always been around dogs and cats growing up. My grandmother owned an in-home dog grooming business that I assisted with from a young age. I’ve had my own family dogs since the age of 7. Whenever friends or family have gone out of town, they trusted me to look after their dogs as well as cats. Currently I have a 3-year-old catahoula leopard / lab mix and an 8-year-old brown tabby cat. During the week I work 9-5 from home. I tend to have most of my meetings early in the morning due to time zone differences, meaning I have the majority of the day to look after your dog. On weekends my availability can start as early as 9AM. I am typically available I don’t ski or snowboard – so you don’t have to worry about me being in the mountains. 1. There are many outdoor parks near my apartment building, as well as a dog run in the apartment complex itself. My 3-year-old pup is extremely friendly and playful, meaning your furry friend will always have someone to keep them company, should they want a friend.
“Nicole has been fantastic to work with! She has taken Oliver on several walks and is always on time and gives us great notes and photos. And Oliver loves her, which is the most important part!”

Woof! <3 Tonks”

“Monica was so great! She was super attentive to Auggi, reached out if she noticed anything out of the norm, and did a great job at sending me photos and updates. I don't think my dog wanted to come home with me haha! Will definitely be using Monica again.”

“Our dog, Millie, seemed like she had a great time with Megan and her kids! Megan was friendly and very communicative the whole time. We received lots of picture, video, and text updates. We would definitely use her again!”

“Kash always has a great time staying with Annalisa. Annalisa is understanding, patient and attentive. She accommodates Kash’s food diet and even gave the bowls I used back to me lol That’s a first. Nonetheless, we will continue to use her services for in home boarding whether I’m traveling out of state or the country or just need a few days to myself! 100% recommend her.”

“Denise was just awesome. She really make us feel that Pepe was just another one of the family. Great communication and she just showed how he loves animals and cares about them. Will definitely ask Denise again in future occasions.”

“Melissa came through for me on short notice to take care of my fur baby. She sent pictures to ease my mind and even gave my dog a little spa treatment. Thanks for loving my baby while I was away!”

About: I’ve always had dogs and cats my whole life. I’ve watched friends’ pets in the past to help them out. I’ve boarded and walked on multiple occasions. I work during the day M-F. During the summer my two very responsible 19 and 20 year olds are home to help out and play with the animals as well. I’m looking at this as a learning opportunity in responsibility for them. I have a small yard and live in a nice neighborhood that is good for walking. I have a dog named Westley who is 3 1/2 and a cat, Daisy, that is 6. Both have been around both dogs and cats. Daisy generally will hide if she’s scared. Westley loves to play.
