About: I've had dogs since I was a kid. My wife works from home, and I've been a stay-at-home dad to our 2 daughters for the past 6 years. They will both be at school this year, and we'd like to host some dogs at our house during the daytime. We have a full acre, fenced in backyard. Our dog Sampson (90lb lab mix) loves to play and is really looking forward to having some buddies around. About: I started walking my next door neighbor’s Boston Terrier when I was around 10. She knew I was an animal lover, and even let me experiment with some training with her pup. This led to me getting into agility training and just general dog training, which I have started to pick back up again. I am known as the family dog sitter, as my family has a combination of Pit Bulls, Bernedoodles, and hunting breeds, so I’ve worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes and stubbornness! Aside from dogs, I grew up volunteering at shelters where I adopted my own cat when I was 15, and eventually even landed a job as a zookeeper! As far as my own pets go, I currently keep it to my cat, fish and my wonderful Bearded Dragon, Albus. From my own pets, work experience, and love of training, I really have worked with everything from lizards to rodents to dogs to elephants! Specific skills: - Puppy/Adult dog training - Hoofstock care and training (goats, horses, exotics) - Reptile care I currently work from home, so I have the availability to work from wherever I need to. This also gives me the option to walk/train during my breaks. I have weekend availability as needed as well. I am able to stay over at a pet owner’s home if needed, however I prefer to host pets in my own home whenever possible. I currently have a 1 year old mixed breed who absolutely LOVES having the company! As always, your pet’s safety is my number one concern. I am trained in identifying and understanding animal behavior and will not put your animal in a position where they do not feel safe. I am also a huge advocate for leash laws and ADA regulations protecting service dogs, so these will always be respected and enforced in my care. I am a huge advocate for animal enrichment, working as a zookeeper in the past taught me how important mental stimulation is for an animal, and how when paired with proper exercise can mitigate behavioral issues in pets. About: A little bit about me, I am going on to my second year at MCC and after plan on joining the Air Force! I currently have a part time job at a restaurant but have gotten the unfortunate news that they will be shutting down my store so I am looking to have this as a part time job for now then hopefully transition it into a full time job. I have been taking care of animals since my early teenage years starting off with a close family friend and her 2 poodle mix’s. They would be dropped off at my house around 9:00 am and then get pick up at 6:00pm. I have bathed, cleaned, and even trained some dogs (simple commands). In addition, I have also taken care of multiple furry felines and have had many cats of my own so I am also quite familiar with their needs as well. I am wanting to soon be Pet CPR and First Aid Certified. I have always been interested in pet-care I just didn’t know how to go about it until I found out about rover! I will be putting all my focus on pet-care as my full time job. Since I am just starting out I will only have weekday availability 11-9 and will only offer drop in’s and walk services Monday-Friday and house sitting Tuesday-Thursday. Currently pet care is my full time priority. My schedule is based on the pets and owners needs. I am happy to adjust accordingly based on individual pet requirements. I will follow your directions to a tee and of course make sure that their safety and health is my top priority. About: Experienced Pet Caretaker: From Puppies' Playtime to Senior Pill Prowess! I have cared for many puppies, as well as our Seniors. I love to play with the puppies, however, I love making sure the seniors get the cuddles and treats they desire! I have a senior in my own home and administer daily pills, multiple times per day. I also have a pitbull puppy who will run herself ragged outside while chasing balls, gardening, and just running around. She also loves hikes and walks! I run my own massage business for in home massage. I am only working three days a week for a few hours at a time. Taking care of the pets is really easy with my schedule! I can carve out as much time as they might need in my day. I aim to keep there routine as normal as possible. I am very flexible in making sure I can do that! I personally feed my own dogs two times per day (morning and night). I have crated my dogs at night for many years, but that is because they love their space. I don't mind having the animals out and about if that is what they prefer! I love to take my own animals on several walks per day, especially with apartment living! We can do anything from short walks to long hikes. I also have had to give my own dogs medications and am no stranger to senior care.
About: I enjoy being around dogs, as i have one of my own now, i had dogs growing up and they have always been a friend i needed. I’m always the person at the gathering that spends more time with the dog rather than people lol. I have wanted to become a veterinarian since a kid, although i grew out of that, i know my purpose is to work with the voiceless, animals. (although they have their own voice lol). I’m currently doing this for experience due to being in school full time/work. I plan on advancing my knowledge in animal behavior. I am currently working full time Friday-Sunday. I am free Monday/Thursday. Thursday is not open as a service because i am only available until 12pm. I am very aware of surroundings during dog walks and aware that dogs will be dogs. I’ve studied multiple breeds and i am one to know that some breeds react differently than others, such as my own dog. I think dogs are misunderstanding and people don’t realize they do not think like humans. It is not easy to trust someone with your furry loved one, trust your intuition. I treat others peoples pet like i would want mine to be treated, with respect, patience and love.
