“We were passing through Rochester and really needed a very trustworthy sitter for our highly separation anxious three legged Jack. So when we found Alex and Bethany and Jack trotted off with them with no anxiety, we knew we'd found the right match. These people clearly have the magic touch and the dedication to take care of any creature with any kind of special need. So I would recommend them a million times over. Honestly feeling kind of bummed we dont live in Rochester and therefore cant call on them more often.”
About: I've had dogs since I was a kid. My wife works from home, and I've been a stay-at-home dad to our 2 daughters for the past 6 years. They will both be at school this year, and we'd like to host some dogs at our house during the daytime. We have a full acre, fenced in backyard. About: Dogs have been a part of my life for a long time. I grew up surrounded by them, but I was lucky enough to work with them as well. I've worked in a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant, as well as volunteered at dog rescues where I helped with rehabilitating dangerous large dogs. I've also worked at a doggie daycare center, where I was responsible for assigning dogs to play groups and monitoring their behavior to ensure their safety. Because of this, I've learned to effectively monitor dog behavior and body language to interpret when they are comfortable, scared, or need to be separated from other dogs. I have experience giving medications and insulin injections, and know how to be careful with older or injured dogs with limited mobility. I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I would be by your dog's side all day. Because of this it can be time for walkies or running around in the fenced yard basically any time doggo needs it. The door to the yard connects to the main living room, so if they want to bounce between being inside and outside it's easy to do so. My son and I also enjoy going for stroller walks around the neighborhood, so doggo gets to tag along with us for that as well to get some sniffs in. I have a fenced in yard for your dog to sprint around, and can take them for walks around the neighborhood. If your pup still gets bored we can take a car ride and go for some walks on nearby nature trails. In my home your pup is welcome to lounge on the furniture with me, and could follow me around throughout the day if they were feeling clingy (like my dog). Dog toys are always scattered around the house, and your pup can help themselves. For boarding, dogs also sleep in the same bedroom as me so they will not be alone overnight. (Exceptions being the dog may sleep in a separate room if they have potty issues, as the bedroom is carpeted.) My standard poodle Eleanor will always be with us, and will occasionally want to play as well. She is typically pretty mellow (after initial meeting) and doesn't run around much, but occasionally she finds a dog she clicks with and will want to play chase with them around the yard if they reciprocate with her. Have an older dog? Don't worry, she is just as happy to lay around with them. ***We do have a baby in the home, which is important to note. Baby is never allowed to touch the guest doggos, and is never left unattended with your dog EVER. We may temporarily keep baby and dog separated in different rooms via a baby gate if the baby is crawling around as we get to know your dog and their reaction to the baby. I am very diligent when it comes to ensuring the safety and comfort of your dog while in the same house with a baby, and their interactions will be monitored and in most cases limited. If you know your dog is reactive to small children, please kindly understand our family home is not a good fit for them.

About: Im used to being around different dogs my whole life I’ve had my own dog for three years. I’ve also taken care of dogs for my friends and family. Right now I am not working since and I’m only 18 so I’m available whenever you need me unless it’s when I’m busy and doing something. About: A little bit about me, I am going on to my second year at MCC and after plan on joining the Air Force! I currently have a part time job at a restaurant but have gotten the unfortunate news that they will be shutting down my store so I am looking to have this as a part time job for now then hopefully transition it into a full time job. I have been taking care of animals since my early teenage years starting off with a close family friend and her 2 poodle mix’s. They would be dropped off at my house around 9:00 am and then get pick up at 6:00pm. I have bathed, cleaned, and even trained some dogs (simple commands). In addition, I have also taken care of multiple furry felines and have had many cats of my own so I am also quite familiar with their needs as well. I am wanting to soon be Pet CPR and First Aid Certified. I have always been interested in pet-care I just didn’t know how to go about it until I found out about rover! I will be putting all my focus on pet-care as my full time job. Since I am just starting out I will only have weekday availability 11-9 and will only offer drop in’s and walk services Monday-Friday and house sitting Tuesday-Thursday. I have been around pets for a long time and feel I am able to pick up on signs if anything might be wrong with your furry friend.
About: I didn’t grow up with dogs of my own but all my friends had dogs and some of my family did, too. I’ve been around Great Danes to little chihuahuas. I do take care of my best friends two dogs when she is working her 12 hour shifts which includes letting them out to potty, feeding them, giving treats and of course all the rubs and lovings. I currently work part time at a doctors office so my afternoons and evenings are very open. Doing care in the morning before work is also not an issue. I do start work at 7am, but I am happy to stay the night or get there early before my shift. I unfortunately would not be able to offer services in my home unless it was a caged or tanked animal because I do have 4 cats currently. One of my cats is absolutely terrified of dogs.

At the time I was pursuing a career as a veterinarian in which I gained multiple years experience as a veterinarian assistant, as well as hands on experience working at a dog boarding facility. I am now part of the Air Force National Guard and I prefer to spend my free time with all the spoiled fur babies. I have my own mode of transportation and can match your pets energy needs, I've taken dogs on runs and also cuddled up for a movie night. I am fluent in English and Spanish and more than happy to accommodate you and your dog. I have a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday and understand that some pets do better when there's someone checking in on them throughout the day. I understand that leaving pets behind for trips can be stressful so I try to stick to their normal routine and extra play time for the high energy pets so that they enjoy and become accustomed to a stranger being with them

About: My family and I have always had pets for as long as I can remember. I also house sat in college between practices, games, and classes for my athletic trainer.
