“Lorinda was great—she took care of our puppy last minute so that we could have a slightly more peaceful wedding, and we owe her big time. She and her husband are lovely, and I look forward to working with them again!”

“Amy did a fantastic job with our dog Summit! She welcomed him with open arms as if he was one of her own dogs! She kept us posted with his current status throughout the day including pictures, and was always responsive! 15/10 would book again with Amy!”

“Steve and Patty were able to squeeze us in at the last moment; for that we are truly grateful. Our little pooch had a great time. Maybe it’s my imagination but he was all smiles when we got home as if he was trying to tell me about his week. Steve and Patty are wonderful hosts. I highly recommend them.”

“Our dogs, Bailey and Gracie, had a wonderful time in Mary's care! It is so wonderful to have found a loving and fun environment for the pups when we are out of town. Everything went perfectly and we received plenty of photos and messages during their stay. I highly recommend Mary and Camp IWanna BarkaLot!”

“I'm with my dog 24/7 so it's hard for me to part with her when we travel. We're so glad we found Charlene and Rick. They went above and beyond to make sure that we could wrap up our trip without worries. Our dog loved both of them and we'll definitely ask for their help again when we need it!”

“Bee was a very nice and welcoming dog sitter! She has a very friendly dog, a huge beautiful yard and home that was perfect for my Mastiff to play in. She took notes on my feeding routines, sent pics during the stay and responds quickly to messages for any questions or concerns. She has a great connection with dogs that made my dog feel right at home and I'd definitely use her service in the future.”

“Mandy was happy to see Brian when he came out to greet us and loves Ashley and the children. Brian and Ashley are kind and gentle with our older girl and she is very happy staying with them. I so appreciate getting the daily pictures and updates on how Mandy is doing. I can't imagine leaving her with anyone else!”

About: I have had pets most of my life. I quit my job and started a non-profit, St. Lewis Foundation, which didnt work out, so all the animals in my care became my pets. They were mostly senior and unwanted animals, which is where my heart is. I am unemployed right now, looking for remote work . So I am home all day. I have the time to let your pup out as many times as he/she wants. If they are a little dog I will be right by their side. I am up 6a - 9p. I have 3 senior cats that sleep up high most of the day, so your pup needs to be okay with cats. All pups sleep with me in my king size bed (if they want to). I have a dog bed next to me in my office or a couch in front of a large front window. I have locked screen security doors in case your pup likes to sniff the air. Central AC (I like it cool) and heating. I have many balls and treats (if allowed) and would love to throw the ball a bit. Back yard is not huge but sufficient. All my dogs have passed and I am missing a dog so much but cant commit right now. So let me love on your pup!
“Booked last minute and was very accommodating. I needed a day sitter for my 2 labs and received pictures/ updates thought the day. My dogs had a great day and were well cared for. Would definitely recommend and book again in the future.”

“Gilbert was fantastic with Chance. I received at least daily pictures and updates on how Chance was doing. Gilbert also dropped in to take care of my cat while we were away and did a wonderful job with him too. I appreciate everything Gilbert did and would not hesitate to hire him again. He is the BEST! Thank you Gilbert…. Until next time! 😁😁”

“Sheila was wonderful. Very helpful and quick to respond back to me. I booked an overnight with her to see if my dog and her would be a good match for a vacation planned out of the country, before we actually left. Lil bear did better with her then he has in the past, with other sitters. I am lucky to have found her and look forward to working with her in the future.”

About: I am just starting to my fourth career, playing with your companion. I recently retired from teaching sustainable development at UAlbany. I now spend my days outside with hairy friend Herman. I picked up my first stray, Bandit, at 9. I have had a at least one dog since then, I am now 63. All from shelters or strays. I also did doggie foster care too. Known to be gentle and friend of the furry ones. I start each day with a morning meander across the 25 acres on a dead end road. Your companion will be well exercised, loved and cared for as long as they get along with my 14 year old hairy friend Herman, who lets cats eat from his dishes. He runs the place when it comes to house rules. He does not have viscous bone in his body. After three careers and global travel I am recently retired. My days are spent gardening, walking, sitting on the porch, listening to music, etc. I am rarely gone more than a few hours as Herman, my four legged friend, needs special care at 14 years old. I am typically up before dawn, no dog or alarm necessary. My day typically begins with me waking predawn and greeting the new day with my hound Herman on the 25 acres we cohabitate. Most is abandoned agriculture returning to forest for 35 plus years that is bisected by a small babbling brook. Breakfast is then served before returning outside. In climate weather I am outside more than 70% of my day outside. At 14 he chooses to stay in sometimes. Your companion will be free to make their own choice too. My life ambition is to nurture life. I live sustainably. There are no chemicals in my lawn or garden. I have an enclosed porch that in the summer is open air, but no steps to escape. Only with your permission would I walk a guest off leash. Before walking them off leash I will need feel 100% confident they respond to command when other distractions are present. Again with your permission I would take your friend to a fenced in dog park visit as a trial run. Herman, my housemate, is a happy healthy 14 year old he is my best reference. He also has final word on all guest of all species. About an 1/2 acre is fenced with direct access from the house through the basement door. It includes shaded doggie lounges, a baby pool in the summer, toys galore, and lots of attention as the space is adjacent to my garden and the covered porch. It has the capacity to be divided if unruly dog needs to be isolated or there are little ones that just need time away from the bigger ones. Indoors, dogs are free to roam in the basement and first floor. If they are cage trained I can accommodate that. The two beds are off limits. To prevent misunderstanding with bed loving dogs I will keep my guest room. Both the porch and the living room couches are fine. Little ones may use chairs too. The house is really set up for Herman’s comfort and safety. The 32x10 covered front porch is a favorite of Herman and all his visiting friends. “Sammi was absolutely incredible with my cats. She went above and beyond for them — she kept me updated every step of the way and did everything she could to ensure my cats were comfortable. She truly cares about their needs; of course this is a job, but I could tell she put effort and love into watching my babies. I’d recommend her to anybody!!!”

“Gil's calm and thoughtful demeanor immediately inspired trust. His care of my cat was flawless. I will request Gil next time I am away. I recommend Gil without reservation.”
About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life and helped train them when they were puppies. I have 1 dog and a cat right now, and love playing with, walking them, and cuddling. I worked at a doggy daycare for 2 years and as a pet groomer for under 1 year, and I also earned my Dog Training Certification through Animal Behavior College. I adore pets and always have, and I strive to make any pets day the best with whatever they need! I currently go to school and work part-time. Working part time allows me to have more time to play with your dogs. I am able to spend time with your pups on Mondays and Wednesdays anytime 12pm or after. Along with Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at any time! The first thing I will always do with your pups is let them get to know me by letting them set the course of our greeting, if they are shy we go slower. Whatever the dog needs is my number one priority along with keeping the Pet Parent informed. I will always be attentive when watching your pup in your home, and if there is medication that needs to be administered I can do so properly with the exception of needles/shots.

About: I’ve been caring for cats for over 30years. Began as my own pets and have continued over the years as fosters, rescues, and furry friends. I’m comfortable with all breeds and temperaments, and any medical needs or disabilities. Have experience from bottle fed babies to seniors. Can care for your feline friends in their homes (because as a cat owner I know it’s really their house😹) or if they enjoy walks, I am experienced with that too!
“Colleen cat sitted for me again and did a phenomenal job with refilling food and changing the automatic litter box. I will continue to use her services as she really values the health and wellness of her customer’s pets. I will be booking again very soon!”

“DelilahaLynn Was absolutely wonderful. She took care of my elderly cat and sent me wonderful pictures of him. Our trip ended up being extended, and she absolutely had no problem with taking care of him for a few more days. I will absolutely book her again when I go on my next trip. I believe you can trust your fur babies in her care.”
“Briana, and her little boy, always exceed expectations. My animals will be asking me to go back on the road just so they can see her again. Rover hasn’t recognized livestock yet, but Briana does!”

“Helayna seemed very responsible and genuinely loves animals. However, prior to booking when I asked, she failed to honestly disclose how many pets she currently had in her household already. I was under the impression our easily-stressed out cat would be in a quiet home when that was not the case at all.”

“Grace is so caring and listened to my specific recommendations for Baxter which made me really happy. She Always shared photos and kept me updated on both visits. I will definitely call her again❤️🙏”

I am a new DVM graduate, and am happy to take care of your pets, no matter how old or young, especially those with special needs! I am certified in dog/cat CPR, and am comfortable providing any care needed. *Please note*: My providing pet sitting/dog walking/pet care services does NOT constitute a VCPR, and I cannot provide medical advice unless a VCPR is explicitly established in accordance with NY State Law* I prefer to stay in the client's home especially for dogs as this is generally much more comfortable for the dog to stay in their own environment. About: I have over 7 years of hands-on animal care experience, including running my own dog walking business for 2 years and ongoing work in farm animal rescue. I had two dogs of my own for over 15 years and have cared for many rescue dogs with a wide range of personalities and needs. I’m patient, reliable, and especially comfortable with shy, nervous, or high-energy dogs. I focus on keeping pets safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine while they’re in my care. I do have cats in my home, so dogs staying with me should be cat-friendly. References are available upon request. “Pet care is a central part of my daily routine. I work part-time overnight, which means I’m home and available throughout the day for walks, supervision, and consistent care. I also run a nonprofit animal rescue from my home, so caring for animals is something I’m actively doing every day. My routine is built around feeding schedules, exercise, cleaning, and making sure each animal gets individual attention. Because of this, I’m very used to managing different needs while keeping a calm, structured environment.” depends on each pet’s routine and comfort level, but I always aim to keep things as consistent and low-stress as possible. In my home, I provide a calm, structured environment with regular feeding schedules, exercise, and plenty of supervision throughout the day. Dogs get daily walks, enrichment, and individual attention. I take introductions slowly and make sure everyone is safe and comfortable. I pay attention to behavior and body language and adjust care based on what each pet needs. My goal is always to make pets feel secure and well cared for, whether they’re in my home or staying in theirs
“I can’t thank Gil enough for the attentiveness, caring, and love he showed to my 15 yr old dachshund! Gil took the time to listen to my wife and me when we described to him our pup’s tendencies and hinderances. We felt confident as we pulled out of the driveway that our old guy was in great hands! Gil made sure to send us photos of our pup throughout the day, as well as updates on its evacuations (very important for an older dog). Overall, I can say unequivocally that Gil was a perfect sitter for our elderly pup, and I would 100% recommend him to anyone needing a pet sitter in that area! Kudos, Gil!”

About: ** I took a break from Rover, but I’m happy to be back and excited to offer pet care again! (Est. Jan ‘26) 🐾✨ I bring over 5 years of hands-on experience from working at a local dog daycare, caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. I’m by no means a trainer, but have worked with one, and am comfortable training puppies on basic commands and have experience providing gentle, attentive care for senior dogs as well. I treat every dog like my own and always strive to make them feel safe, happy, and loved. I regularly dog sit for friends and family, so caring for animals is already built into my routine. I also currently have a crew of my own — 3 dogs (just welcomed a puppy in Dec. 2025) & have a flock of 24 chickens! As I continue using Rover, I’m excited to grow this into something more consistent, with the goal of potentially offering pet care full time in the future. Animals truly are a big part of my everyday life 🖤🐾 I’m able to be home and present, so pets get lots of attention, playtime, and care throughout the day. I also have dogs who do great with other dogs, which can be a fun and positive socialization experience when it’s a good fit. I have crates available if needed, extra bowls, and enrichment toys like snuffle mats and games to keep pets engaged and comfortable. My goal is always to make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

I’m an experienced pet parent who just said goodbye to my 17 year old rescue pitbull; I’d like to open my now-too-quiet home to your beloved family members. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ friendly ❤️ I’m a professional writer who works exclusively from home. My flexible schedule allows me to cater to any specific needs, take all the potty breaks, and ensure both enriching play & restorative snuggles. And treats, of course! I have a fenced potty area off my porch for easy quick breaks, and several long leads for exploring the unfenced portions of the property. My senior dog recently passed away but she left soft beds in every room, jars of treats, and a big basket of toys I know she’d love to share.
“Kevin did a great job with my playful, big, high energy pup! He had great communication setting up the booking and pickup times. When I picked up my dog, I could tell that she was happy and tired. Very happy with the experience!”

I am currently working part time so I am able to spend plenty of time playing and walking with your fur baby as needed during the week and sometimes on weekends. Currently, I am looking for opportunities to play and walk with your fur baby. As I do not have a fenced yard to board them at this time.
About: Animals and nature have been my greatest passion for as long as I can remember. I’ve been exposed to, and well acquainted to a variety of animals, including fish, rodents, reptiles, dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and even a baby squirrel rescue! I am also a volunteer dog walker at my local shelter, which is my therapy and brings me great happiness. I have two dogs of my own that I’ve raised since they were eight weeks old. They are my entire world. I am knowledgeable in basic dog training and obedience, and very observant and understanding of animal behavior. I have a very flexible and adaptable schedule and I am open to what works best for you and your pets needs. I am with my dogs all day everyday. They get all of my love and attention. I constantly monitor for potential hazards and act accordingly in order to limit any risks. Cleanliness and order is my main priority as I value a clean and tidy home. I have fresh water out all day and I feed them twice a day. My dogs get a specialized high end kibble which I supplement with fresh meat, organ, eggs, fruits, veggies, goats milk, coconut oil, bone broth, salmon oil, turmeric and a daily vitamin. I wash my dogs as needed or every two weeks. I brush their teeth, fur, and clip their nails weekly as well. I only have high quality chew bones and other toys available that don’t pose a risk as my dogs are heavy chewers.

“This was a great first experience! Briana made an appointment to meet my dogs (and me, but we KNOW it’s about the dogs!). She was intuitive even with this “difficult” breed (Akita). I got pictures from their walks. I’ll absolutely use Rover and hire Briana again!!”

Once I start work, I will be available as much as I can for the pets that I will care for. I live in the countryside with a giant 10 acre piece of land.

I have cared for pets since I was born as my family had cats. There is a fenced area that includes four shaded area. There will be plenty of water, including a baby pool for play as well as sprinklers. This area is shares two fences lines with my garden, has direct access to a walk out basement, and is fully visible from my porch. The dogs will have near 24/7 personal attention and care. Your hairy friend will be delighted by this feature too. One more thing, the hardwood floors are currently covered in rubber “yoga mats” as Herman can not cope with slippery floors. There are also many large dog beds that Herman is happy to share. Opps, where are our manners; welcome to our slice of Paradise!😊

I’ll treat your fur babies as lovingly as I treat mine! I don’t mind cleaning them, bathing, walking, feeding, exercising, or any other thing needed to their specifications. I will follow your instructions to the T. I have all the time to give them my full attention and love, and never less. I ensure you, that with me, you’re barking up the right tree! I am open any and all times, I’m looking for any jobs. I I’m not picky about my times and I’m more than happy to accommodate. I always do my very best to follow instructions as perfect as possible. I ask that you write me a note or send me a text telling me what you want me to do, so I can refer back to it.
