And their pup and mine got along really well, so that was a bonus that he had a buddy for the week! It was also really nice that I got pictures all week of the boys playing and chilling together. She did drop-in visits 4 days in a row while my husband was working and while I was out of town. She sent me TONS of pictures and updates which was great! My dogs warmed up to her very quickly and by the end of the 4 days I think they thought she was a member of the family! About: I’ve watched many pets of friends and co workers. I’ve myself had a lot of pets growing up as well. I used to volunteer at a pet shelter as well. Recently graduated and work part time and I have a lot of free time. Weekends are usually free too for taking care of a pet I make sure to take long walks, give a lot of pets and love. I love hiking as well so I can surely make sure your pet releases all of their energy

About: I grew up with dogs and recently owned 2 rescued dogs. I have land around my home and access to a wooded area with trails for longer walks. I am comfortable with caring for dogs in any facet. I am a teacher and I am looking for summer work. I am free every day until late August. I am willing to walk your dog in your neighborhood or board a dog over night. I have a stake in my yard for when my daughter visits with her 35 lb. Dog. Previous bigger dogs were walked on a leash at all times. I usually walk my dogs 1-2x daily for up to a 1/2 hour.

Have availability to take on a few more dogs due to the passing of my current clients pets. Dogs are unique with their own needs and boundaries. I have a fully fenced back yard that dogs can access using a doggy door. Each dog (or family if siblings want to be together) are booked into their own room that is set up for their specific needs. The dogs gets to decompress and given whatever space they need to be happy and relaxed. I have crates of every size if the dog needs one. I do not crate unless there is a safety concern. Dogs have free reign of the house and yard as long as I am home. If I am not home the dogs are in their rooms which are video monitored (maximum of ~4 hours). The rooms are closed off with gates so dogs have open view of hallways. I use TV or music to create background noise. Dogs do not interact without supervision and any dog introduction is done slowly and never forced. The house is large enough that should a conflict arise the dogs can be placed in separate levels of the house and not interact. When dogs stay with me I see them as my dogs and treat them as family.

About: (Saying up front that I am not comfortable using a prong collar, so if that’s something you use on your dog, I don’t believe I’m a right fit for the service you want. Please don’t invite me to your home and surprise me with a prong collar—I will not use it on your dog.) Now here’s my bio: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

About: I’m missing my best friend of 13 years! For my 10th birthday I adopted a labradoodle puppy and was her main caregiver. I trained her and took her on long walks in Green Lakes State Park in Upstate NY (my hometown) her whole life. Now, I have a hole in my heart and would love to fill it with some new energy. About: I love all dogs regardless of size or breed. I’m quite active so if you have an energetic dog that needs to burn some energy, I am the gal for you. I love to take my dogs on adventures with me. Hiking, exploring, finding new trails. As long as they're up to date on their tick medication, we are good to go! :) I also love to groom dogs and more than happy to give them a bath (sometimes I do anyway after a muddy adventure) so that is an added bonus! I’m comfortable administering oral medication. I have my own vehicle that’s completely pet friendly so if I have to travel or take your dog somewhere, no problem! About: I’ve had fur babies throughout my entire life growing up. Nine years ago my own fur baby came into my life, Bailey. We love to travel, go to work together and meet new friends. “After meeting Mariana, initially we knew we wanted to hire her to help us both in the care of our dog and behavior training to help eliminate some bad habits that were formed as a puppy before he got any older. We knew what needed correcting, but we were struggling to employ specific strategies that would actually help us enjoy our dog more normally. His fearful and bossy ways were confusing to us because he was often a very loving dog and his behaviors seemed contradictory. Upon meeting Mariana and going on this training walk, I was able to watch how she interacted with Sparrow and see very quickly that she was reading his very subtle body language and redirecting or correcting his behaviors before they escalated. Actually understanding WHAT Sparrow was expressing was a game-changer. We left the walk feeling that it might take some work, but understanding animal behavior is crucial to correcting it and it gave us the confidence to feel we could indeed improve Sparrow's manners and eliminate his bad habits. Mariana was very loving to Sparrow and was very good at teaching us what she knows. She displays a genuine sense of gentle compassion towards animals and people, but she also has a firm confidence and a wealth of knowledge about animals!”
