About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for friends, family, and neighbors since I was 16 years old. Growing up, I have always had at least one dog in my house, so I am very comfortable with them. I have cared for cats, older dogs, younger dogs, many different breeds, and both male and female dogs. I have experience dog sitting, dog walking, and just doing mid-day check-ins. I'm currently walking dogs a couple of times a week while their owners are at work and have been dog-sitting very regularly. I love going on walks, hikes, and any other kind of adventure with pups and always cater to the needs of each individual dog. About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

“100/100. We used Victoria for YEARS and she was the best sitter we ever had. She once watched my dogs over Christmas, she bought toys AND wrapped them - using her own money. I can't speak highly enough. We recently moved and the worst is not being close to her anymore, but we will definitely use her if we ever fly out of JFK or LGA. My dogs loved her.”
“Marika was amazing! Feel very fortunate to have gotten her on short notice. My Viszla mix Susie loved her immediately. Marika took her on lots of walks (with tick check afterwards), sent updates, and her house/backyard space were perfect for an active breed. She went above and beyond when it came to making sure Susie was stimulated, making up little games for her to play with the squirrels and rabbits. Anytime I'm in the area I'll definitely be looking to book with Marika.”
“This was my first time using Rover and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. Mildred and her family treated my dog as one of their own for the few days that he was there and when I picked him up, I felt like I was part of the family as well. I got photos regularly and I knew that everything went perfect. I will 100% book again. I can tell that my dog made new friends so even if I don't need to board him overnight again, I know that I can drop him off to hang out with his new friends. I prefer this option over boarding/daycare at a facility where your pets may not get the same level of attention and care. 10/10 Recommend!”
