(I work at a golf course as well.) I’m available everyday of the week, except for some weeknight afternoons and weekend mornings - but this changes frequently so my schedule is pretty open. I am extremely careful caring for pets, as I would want and expect for anyone to do for my dog as well. Nothing is ever left out for my pet to get into, doors/windows/etc are always shut, yard is fenced in and my dog is always leashed when I am with him, unless he is in our fenced in yard.

About: I've taken care of my neighbors cats who are barn cats, as well as indoor cats. I do not sit for indoor/outdoor cats as the risk of them not coming back inside is a liability I will not take on. I have also been a cat owner in the past myself. “I can't say enough good things about Rebecca and her care for Gypsy! Gypsy is a rescue who has severe separation anxiety and this was her first time at a sitter and staying with someone other than my family - who she is around frequently. Rebecca made sure she was settled down a bit and that I was comfortable before leaving for the day. She asked me questions about Gypsy's care and background to make sure she understood her needs and how best to care for her. Gypsy was incredibly skittish at first and I was nervous it was not going to work out. However, Rebecca was up for the challenge and slowly introduced Gypsy to the other dogs so as not to overwhelm her more than she already was, being in a new place, and make sure they all got along well. Throughout the day I received pictures of Gypsy which further reassured me of how well Rebecca worked with her. The pictures made it very obvious that Gypsy had calmed down and was enjoying playing with friends and her stay. Rebecca has a large fenced outdoor space for the pups to run and play, and when I picked Gypsy up that afternoon I could tell she had done quite a bit of that! She came home and was tired out that evening. I am very happy to have found someone that I know I can trust with her care when needed.”

About: I've taken care of all types of dogs for over 21 years. I'll treat any dog as if it was my own. I have a large backyard in the country on a private road that is a self contained peninsula right on the banks of the West Canada Creek. With miles of well maintained walking paths through the woods and on the Creek's bank, there is no shortage of places to go on adventures, all without having to worry about anyone else. If I ever need to leave, you can rest assured that you're pup won't be lonely, as my retired parents also live just a quarter mile away. My dad, Steve, is especially helpful, and is always there to come down and stay with your pet, let the them out/walk them. He's happy to meet you and your dog(s) during a meet and greet beforehand as well. I recently was 100% working from home. However, my jobs now requires me to be in office Mon-Fri from 7:30-4:00. My dad, Steve, will step in and make sure your dog gets one-on-one special care while I'm away. He's retired and lives just 1/4 mile away. He's a character himself, and has been my second hand man from the start. Sleep well knowing that his animal experience, and understanding of dogs is just as good as mine. If needed, I have indoor cameras to monitor, and even speak with both your pup if both me my dad happen to be away. So nothings ever going to catch me off guard. All dogs have their own unique needs, so I'm going to rely on you and I will ask you for any specifics your pet(s) might need. I will tailor my care based on your input. Just to illustrate both ends of the spectrum , if you want me to crate your dog, I can do that. I'm also totally fine giving free reign to my house if your dog is trustworthy not to do any damage. If their are worries about your pet getting into anything and doing any property damage, I'm very diligent in making sure I remove anything that could cause an issue (including putting up gates, providing stimulation toys, and making sure there is nothing he/she can get into food wise). If you want to board your pet with me, typically I'll do a meet and greet at my place to introduce myself to you and your pet(s), as well as show you my property both inside my house as well as my large countryside property. If your not boarding at my house, depending on where you live, I can meet at your place to meet you and your dogs. I know what a dog with separation anxiety can do, and know how expensive the damages can be. Thankfully, my retired parents live just up the road and can make sure your pup isn't alone for anymore than a few hours at most during the workweek. My dad is still very active and great with dog walks. So if for some reason I am stuck at work that day, my dad can come down to visit your pet, take her for a walk, or just keep company. Lastly, I have an 15 year old female Terrier mix that stays with my retired parents just up the road, she's very sweet with other dogs and cats, and is only 18 lbs. If I have to leave your pup alone for a few hours, she can provide company to your dog as well, supervised by my dad, if wanted. This is totally up to you, though.
