“I needed a last minute boarding for my dog on Memorial Day Weekend. I had never used Rover previously but a friend recommended it. I do allow pets on the furniture, just not in my bed, and have a fully fenced in yard for playtime, as well as the ability to take your furry friend on walks as well! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

About: Being 19, I have taken care of my own 3 cats and 1 big pup for around 9 years as well as taking care of neighbors, co-workers, and my friends furry friends. From old grumps to cuddly little guys, I love them all. I’m currently a part time college student Mon-Thur but I am available Fri-Sat! I also works part time in Manlius that usually ranges from 11am until 4-5pm or night shift from 5pm-10pm. I am always available for a drop in here or there before or after my work shifts that can vary day-day, but will be free all day unless working! I make sure that no food gets dropped on the floor for any furry friends to get into and am very cautious with giving medicine at the appropriate times to our companions. Making sure they get outside with plenty of walks and play time or inside with lots of cuddles is my priority as well!
About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember! I spending time with animals, whether that’s walking or relaxing! I am very used to giving care because I have worked summer camps for 4 years now. I am also a division 1 athlete so I am able to walk long distances for energetic pups! About: For many years, I aided my aunt who owns her own dog grooming salon, keeping the dogs occupied and bathing them! I have also taken care of many friends and family members dogs, even cats! About: My husband and I both work full time out of the house. We're not home during the week 8-9 hours at a time. We live in a single story house on 14.75 acres (no fence). I have had dogs most of my life before moving to Central New York, then finally got our dog in 2017 after moving into our house. My husband and I personally have a dog named Stitch and 2 rabbits, Zander and Rocky. If any of the dogs can't leave their cages alone we relocate the rabbits to another room. No worries they are used to this. Where we can enjoy a good game of fetch in the back yard (long line of course). Your dog(s) will be a part of the family and treated as if they are our own dogs while at our house. If you have any other questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask. Pets are taken care of first. They depend on us to take care of them so that's how it is for us. My pets are well taken care of and socialized. Dogs that come to stay with us are treated like family. They lounge on the couch (if they are aloud at home) with us after a day at work.

“Joan and Duncan quickly agreed to do a meet and greet at their home before Carmella's (my 11 yr old pitbull) first time staying with them, with maybe less than a week before I needed them, so that was very kind. “I needed a last minute boarding for my dog on Memorial Day Weekend. I had never used Rover previously but a friend recommended it. At first, I was a little nervous leaving my dog with strangers but didn’t have many other options. I brought my dog to Matthew and Christie’s house to meet them and their dog a day or two prior and was immediately relieved.
