“I was brand new to the area with no established pet sitter and needed to travel last minute. Local kennels couldn’t accommodate me on such short notice. A Google search turned up the Rover app which in turn brought me to Gina and Erik. They had good reviews and repeat customers, so I contacted them via the app. They could accommodate me, had good prices, and asked me if I wanted to come see their home first. My cat is both a mama’s boy and a bit of a scaredy cat. I’d never boarded him before. I was worried he’d think he’d been abandoned again. (He’d been a stray after being adopted as a kitten. He was nine when I adopted him.) He was anxious at first, but in the pictures and videos that Gina and Erik sent, I could see that he was relaxing with them more each day. On the day I was to drive back home, I woke with a migraine. There was no way I could do the drive. I had to ask for an additional day with no advance notice. Fortunately Gina and Erik were able to keep my cat one day longer. Also, I forgot to mention the poopy mess that Gina helped me clean up when I first dropped him off. They provided me with above and beyond service. I wholeheartedly recommend them.”

About: Dogs have always been apart of my life. I volunteered in a service dog program called 4Paws4Patriots and in doing so I got to learn so much about dog care/handling. Ever since then, dogs have always owned a piece of my heart, I just had to figure out how to follow my passion. About: I’m a small-breed dog mom to two friendly Shih Tzus. I’ve trained both of them from puppyhood, so I’m experienced in teaching calm behavior, basic obedience, and creating a well-structured environment for small dogs. Leonard and Taylor are both gentle, well-behaved, and great companions for visiting pups. My home is calm, clean, and ideal for small-breed dogs who enjoy a safe and friendly environment. I’m available full time for boarding on weekends and holidays. On weekdays, my two Shih Tzus—Leonard (born April 2024) and Taylor (born March 2025)—stay home from about 10am to 6pm. They are used to a calm routine and do very well together. If your dog is comfortable being without a human for part of the day, weekday boarding can also work. I live in a house with a fenced backyard and a fenced small-breed dog park within walking distance. We go there every other day for playtime and sniff walks. Pet care integrates into my weekly routine, as I currently work part-time, totaling 12 hours a week, at a local animal clinic in Fernley. This arrangement provides me ample time to dedicate to caring for animals. My flexible schedule allows me to easily accommodate pet sitting and care, ensuring that I can provide attentive, personalized care to each pet. In both my home and my clients’ homes, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for the pets I care for. When caring for pets in my home, I ensure they have a welcoming space with plenty of room to play and relax, following their routine as closely as possible to make them feel secure and at ease. I maintain strict hygiene standards and keep the area safe and pet-friendly, with all necessary supplies at hand, including toys, bedding, and emergency contact information. In my clients’ homes, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s routine to provide stability and comfort. I am attentive to the pet’s needs and behaviors, making sure they receive regular exercise, playtime, and any required medications or special care. I communicate regularly with the pet owners, providing updates and photos to assure them that their beloved pet is in good hands. In both settings, I am adaptable and responsive to the specific needs of each pet, ensuring they receive the best possible care under my supervision
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I got my own 10 years ago. I have experience dogsitting for many families and have experience taking care of my own dogs as well. I have experience bathing dogs, feeding, walking, and playing! I am reliable, good at following a routine, and want to make you feel as comfortable as possible to leave your precious pet in my care. I am not working at the moment so have complete open availability starting in late August! I also have experience pet sitting while being in school and/or working at the same time, and am good at balancing my schedule to be able to prioritize good care of your pet! I will only be offering the service of house sitting and watching your dogs at your home. I think this is better so they can be in an environment they know and are comfortable with. I will spend time with them there and can follow the routine you have already set up!

Now that I have met April & Rachel, I would not take Kilo any place else to watch our boy. I felt so comfortable after our meet & greet with the living arrangements and with the humans watching over him. I knew he would be treated like a king and in good safe hands. I didn’t have to worry about him the whole time I was gone. April & Rachel sent us photos/videos of Kilo so that I could see first hand how he was doing. He was getting the love and attention (even more than when he is at home) and this made us very happy. It’s nice to know he’s in great hands when we are away. April & Rachel will be my first call for my next trip and I would recommend them for your pups too. 🐶 🐾”

“I was brand new to the area with no established pet sitter and needed to travel last minute. Local kennels couldn’t accommodate me on such short notice. A Google search turned up the Rover app which in turn brought me to Gina and Erik. They had good reviews and repeat customers, so I contacted them via the app. They could accommodate me, had good prices, and asked me if I wanted to come see their home first. My cat is both a mama’s boy and a bit of a scaredy cat. I’d never boarded him before. I was worried he’d think he’d been abandoned again. (He’d been a stray after being adopted as a kitten. He was nine when I adopted him.) He was anxious at first, but in the pictures and videos that Gina and Erik sent, I could see that he was relaxing with them more each day. On the day I was to drive back home, I woke with a migraine. There was no way I could do the drive. I had to ask for an additional day with no advance notice. Fortunately Gina and Erik were able to keep my cat one day longer. Also, I forgot to mention the poopy mess that Gina helped me clean up when I first dropped him off. They provided me with above and beyond service. I wholeheartedly recommend them.”
