Now that I have met April & Rachel, I would not take Kilo any place else to watch our boy. I felt so comfortable after our meet & greet with the living arrangements and with the humans watching over him. I knew he would be treated like a king and in good safe hands. I didn’t have to worry about him the whole time I was gone. April & Rachel sent us photos/videos of Kilo so that I could see first hand how he was doing. He was getting the love and attention (even more than when he is at home) and this made us very happy. It’s nice to know he’s in great hands when we are away. About: Dogs have always been apart of my life. I volunteered in a service dog program called 4Paws4Patriots and in doing so I got to learn so much about dog care/handling. Ever since then, dogs have always owned a piece of my heart, I just had to figure out how to follow my passion. Which led me to American k-9 interdiction (AK9I), where I took a 13 week course and became a professional dog trainer. I now have three dogs and own my own dog training business (Big Paws Protection). I have owned a Siberian husky, German Shepard, and an Alaskan Malamute. I currently own a Belgian Malinios. A lot of work have gone into them and still go into them. Caring for dogs can be challenging but I love the work and seeing the dog improving is worth every minute I am a professional dog trainer and have been around dogs all my life, I feel that I can handle most any situation you can throw at me. About: I’m a small-breed dog mom to two friendly Shih Tzus. I’ve trained both of them from puppyhood, so I’m experienced in teaching calm behavior, basic obedience, and creating a well-structured environment for small dogs. I’m happy to reinforce good manners. I have a fenced backyard and a fenced small-breed dog park within walking distance, and we go there every other day for playtime and socializing. Leonard and Taylor are both gentle, well-behaved, and great companions for visiting pups. My home is calm, clean, and ideal for small-breed dogs who enjoy a safe and friendly environment. I’m available full time for boarding on weekends and holidays. On weekdays, my two Shih Tzus—Leonard (born April 2024) and Taylor (born March 2025)—stay home from about 10am to 6pm. They are used to a calm routine and do very well together. If your dog is comfortable being without a human for part of the day, weekday boarding can also work. I live in a house with a fenced backyard and a fenced small-breed dog park within walking distance. We go there every other day for playtime and sniff walks. Both Leonard and Taylor are friendly, gentle Shih Tzus who make great company for visiting small dogs. My home is clean, safe, and perfect for small breeds. I also have both small and medium crates available if you prefer your dog crated.

About: We live on a 4 acre "farm" close to town. I've had dogs on and off all my life. we got our Border Collie (mix) when he was 8 weeks old; he was born 7.25.23. we have an enclosed dog run (10x43) with igloo, 8x22 tiled sunroom (where your pet will be crated at night), added a pet water fountain in sunroom (stainless steel continuous flow which discourages bacterial growth), open grassy backyard and a field to run in. Please contact me for a free meet n greet. I'm a retired senior so I'm usually available 24/7. We have dog crates available (required for overnight stays). We have a large 8 x 22 tiled sunroom available for boarding. our dog and i walk "down to the barn" several times a day and your dog would join us. we have a semi-fenced property in addition to the 10 x 43 fenced dog run. I can also tether your dog outside on the lawn. We have a kiddie pool available for water lovers. we have added a stainless steel water fountain in the sunroom for fresher water (discourages bacterial growth). we can combine 2 crates for a cat condo: small one for litter box and large one for bed, food and water for overnight and open to full sunroom daily.

I have a fully fenced in back yard with a new lawn and a dog door (labelled "for large dogs" at home Depot) that is open 24 hours. The three of us all enjoy spending time with new dogs and we invite you for a meet and greet at any time prior to any stay. Playing is the number one priority of my buddies, so your dog will not be bored; with either outside toys, or inside ones, I'm certain that my buddies and your buddy will be fast friends.

“Kilo had the best vacation stay with April & Rachel (Aliyah & Honey too). He was so happy and came home exhausted!! He needed a day of RnR from his stay. Now for my personal review. Now that I have met April & Rachel, I would not take Kilo any place else to watch our boy. I felt so comfortable after our meet & greet with the living arrangements and with the humans watching over him. I knew he would be treated like a king and in good safe hands. I didn’t have to worry about him the whole time I was gone. April & Rachel sent us photos/videos of Kilo so that I could see first hand how he was doing. He was getting the love and attention (even more than when he is at home) and this made us very happy. It’s nice to know he’s in great hands when we are away. April & Rachel will be my first call for my next trip and I would recommend them for your pups too. 🐶 🐾”
