“Leaving your dogs is never easy, but Christine made it seamless for us and joyful for Willow and Jones. She treated them like her own, created a warm space, and shared the sweetest updates. We came home to relaxed, happy pups, which says everything.”

“second time booking G. It’s always scary leaving your fur babies somewhere but he handled her so well & sent lots of updates ! Always does ! she got comfortable super quick an took on lots of walks, 10/10 recommended him!”

“They took in a big girl even though they didn't usually do large dogs! We appreciated their willingness to give larger dogs a try! They took great care of her! She came back very sleepy, so we know she was getting around! ????”
“Brett was awesome with my dog Scout. He was a great communicator and flexible with drop off time. Scout had a great time hanging with Brett at home watching sports and even went on two different hikes in the area. Scout came home exhausted and happy. Would definitely use Brett again !!”

“We were visiting Tahoe and needed a sitter last minute for our small Velcro dog for a day. Laura was amazing, our dog promptly claimed her lap as his place of leisure. She took our fur baby on multiple walks and kept us updated throughout the day with pictures and texts. I highly recommend her, she has a beautiful house, a lovely family and an adorably gentle dog.”

“Tim took such great care of our dog Jack and made sure to take him on lots of adventures. He was really good about sending multiple updates and pictures, which we loved! He was also really responsive and flexible when we had to pick up our dog 30 minutes late. Highly recommend!”

“Gina and Erik were fantastic. I appreciate how they sent me pictures and updates of Nori. Love seeing that my dog is enjoying her time and well taken care of. I can tell she had a great time because she definitely did not want to leave. Would definitely book again whenever im in the area.”

“Teresa was wonderful to work with and clearly took great care of my dog over the five days I had her boarded. She sent adorable photos of her curled up and cozy on the couch — it’s clear she was a happy pup (and spoiled)! I’d definitely book with Teresa again.”

“Adam was great! I needed a last minute place for my Boston terrier and Adam responded almost right away. He took my dog on a ride, walk and got to lounge and play for a couple days. Koa had just as much of a great vacation as us! I received pics of his little adventures and Adam communicated great. Will be booking again next time we go to Tahoe and need a place for our pup.”

“Leilah was absolutely wonderful with our dogs! She was incredibly reliable, communicative, and clearly treated our pups like her own. I highly recommend her services and will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Nicole was amazing! She was able to take my puppy in last minute and I was very grateful for that. She made my puppy feel so loved! She was taking such good care of him and sent me pictures and updates about how their day was going. I definitely felt a sigh of relief knowing my puppy was happy and safe with her!”

“Faith is an absolute gem of a dog sitter, and I genuinely can’t recommend her enough. I reached out last minute — the kind of request most sitters would turn down without a second thought — and she said yes without hesitation. What really stood out was how thoughtfully she handled Atlas’s anxiety. She didn’t treat it as an inconvenience; she approached it with patience and genuine care, and it made such a difference knowing my pup was in calm, understanding hands rather than just being “watched.” On top of that, she was incredibly flexible with pick-up and drop-off times, and even made a special exception for me when I needed a time outside her normal hours. She didn’t make me feel like a burden for asking — she just made it work. That kind of grace is rare. And the updates! She check-ins with photos and messages that were so reassuring. You could tell she wasn’t just going through the motions — she actually cared how he was doing. If you have a dog with any special needs or anxiety, Faith is your person. She went above and beyond in every way. Thank you Faith! 🐾”

“Melissa watched our pup while we stayed in a non-dog-friendly house on our first trip to Tahoe. She was responsive, friendly, and able to accommodate us at the last minute when our other sitter canceled. I always feel guilty leaving Frankie with a sitter he doesn't know. But Melissa sent us lots of photos and updates; you could tell Frank was happy and comfortable the whole time. On top of everything, she even sent us home with a cute framed photo of Frankie that we have on our mantel! HIGHLY recommend Melissa - especially for dog owners looking for a guilt-free weekend trip :) We'll definitely be reaching out whenever we're in Tahoe!”

“Melissa is the best! Great communication and very dog friendly environment. This was my first time ever leaving Gus overnight & she went above and beyond to make sure he felt right at home. He and Cody were instant BFFs & it’s great to know he has someone who makes him feel so safe and comfortable when I am not able to be with him.”

About: I am a dog mommy of a medium 14 year old pit mix, Roxy. I love all dogs and have family with everything from a Chihuahua (with no teeth) to a dopey Great Dane named after prince George. I have babysat all of their dogs and love to play outside with them. I like to run and hike with my dogs and we like to be silly together. She is getting older (14 years old) so she is not as active as she once was. I'm an educator, so my own pup is used to me being gone during the day, but because of holidays and summers I'm also free frequently. My own dog in the past struggled with stubborness and reactivity, so I know how to work with stubborn dogs and easy going dogs of all sorts. I have also worked with geriatric dogs and know what a struggle it can be when dogs are getting into old age. As an educator I work Monday through Friday (most weeks) during the day, and am home evenings, but have extensive availability weekends and holidays. My schedule can be somewhat flexible I am available to come to your home if your dog needs some company or can have your pup at my place. I also have transportation for taking your pet to the beach, river, or parks. I am happy to run, walk, or just hang out with your pets.

“Teeda was fantastic with our dog, who was nervous being away from “mom and dad”. They took walks in the woods, played and we got lots of pictures while we were apart. I highly recommend Teeda! She provided a wonderful “vacation” for our Cesky Brita!🩷”

“Payson is an absolute gem! She is so caring, loving and attentive with our dog. You can clearly tell she loves dogs and all animals really. She provided lots of updates and pictures which we really appreciate. She even went above and beyond when our dog had an accident in the house too. I felt so comfortable with her taking care of our dog while we were away, especially with her background in vet care. We’re so glad we found Payson to help take care of our dog when we’re away!”

“Anika was amazing with our dog! She gave her plenty of loves and attention, and was very good about sending us updates and photos. Always on time and dependable. Our pup was very comfortable with Anika and well cared for.”

“Brenna is absolutely wonderful! She takes such good care of my kitties when I’m gone, sending me the cutest pictures of my boys and giving thorough updates every check-in! Can’t recommend her enough!”

About: I am very comfortable with our feline friends and love a good kitty cuddle, if your kitty is so inclined, or will leave your skittish friend be if he/she is not so into socializing! I am available for any type of visit your cat may need and can also take your kitty into my home for longer stays. IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CAT STAYS; PLEASE READ: Cat stays are limited to seven days. I do not take cats in my home under the age of 1 year. Litter box MUST be hooded. I do not accept litter boxes that are basic without a cover and upon arrival, I will turn you away if litter box is unacceptable. Please be advised, cats in my home must have general good home behavior. I understand that "cats will be cats", but if your cat is used to regularly climbing on surfaces where food is prepared, i.e., counter tops and tables, and if your cat is a heavy furniture scratcher, I would be happy to visit your kitty at your home and take care of him/her there.

“Mairead was so great and I felt totally comfortable leaving our kitten, Pebble, in her care. She was quick with communication, very nice and friendly, and it seems like Pebble had a great time with her. I really appreciated the status updates and pictures each visit! We will definitely ask Mairead to be our sitter again.”

“I had tough time finding cat seaters on Rover, so when I saw Marian’s profile with her cats pictures, I knew it would be a great match! My three cats loved her! They wait for her to come everyday! Including my 22 year old Willie! She usually gets sick when I am gone but this time she got so much attention from Marian that she didn’t! Winter and Tommy, my two boy also got so much fun with her! They did not hide, amd were always around for the time with Marian! Thank you so much Marian, and definately I will book with you again!”
About: Greetings. I’ve had a best friend who was with me everyday for 15 years. I was with her from the beginning to the end. I am sensitive to the needs of our dogs and always very aware of our surroundings. I’m ultra aware of the cayotes up here and all their tricks. With the new smells and distractions for some dogs that are not from here I always feel safer to keep them on leash during our walks. I live alone in a quiet cabin on a quiet street, no traffic and no neighbors. Big fenced back yard and a small gated front porch. I know all the trails in Sierra track as well as the whole area. I’m very flexible and will take care of all the little things that are needed and the unexpected ones that pop up. I know how stressfull it can be traveling and then leaving your best friend with someone. I will communicate with you and make it easy and stress free. It’s a big adjustment not having my sweet girl Francis. I was so used to waking up and she was there, or coming home and she was sitting in my spot waiting for me. Honestly this is good for me having a dog around. It’s helping with this process I’m going through. I am very flexible and available almost anytime and on short notice if life happens. I know how that goes. I know the trails and areas to go that are safe and fun. Im an early riser, and I enjoy mornings walks when it’s nice and quiet with no traffic or crowds of people. I have no problem with taking the pup with me in the car to run a quick errand or even better a day trip somewhere. Some dogs love car rides with the window down and nose out. And some do not. It’s all optional, absolutely no problems leaving him or her at home while I’m out for a sec. I primarily work from home and would be with him/her almost all the time. My dog Francis was a little attached. Maybe loyal is a better word. I was very lucky with her and didn’t have to worry too much. But I learned to never ever let anything happen to her. Very aware of our environment. Cars, other dogs, cayotes, bees , bodies of water and all weather conditions, hot pavement and even to always avoid the drains/grates in the roads ect. I’m not disactred by my phone or anything else. I’ll only feed what the owner approves.
“Denise was fantastic! She was prompt, babied my cats, dealt with refilling the automatic feeders, and sent great photos every day (including of our reclusive outdoor cat). Our house looked great when we got home. Excellent experience!”

About: My family has had cats as pets from before I was born. I have 2 cats myself. One is named Kk and the other is named Tommy, whom is special needs. He had a thrombosis that caused one of his legs to lose circulation. The vets answer for me was I needed to put him down. I cried for a whole weekend and then started wondering if there were other options. Using my psychic abilities I came up with amputation. When I asked if they could amputate his leg they immediately said yes! And now I have a 3 legged cat. I love him so much and have gone to the ends of the earth for all my pets. Kk is my fat princess. She is beautiful and so soft. She is my daughters emotional support animal but she has gone away to college so I got to keep her. She loves me so much, she stares into my soul and purs and drools on an everyday basis lol.
“Alena was perfect. She was thoughtful, flexible with timing and our cat was happy when we got home. We have been on trips when you could tell they did not get attention when you returned, but not this trip. THANK YOU Alena! Highly recommend.”

“I cannot recommend Melissa more highly! As a first time puppy owner and Rover user we were very nervous to leave our girl! Upon meeting her and seeing her home, I knew Izzy was in good hands. She kept us updated through out the day and even sent pics. She made our last day in Tahoe a great one! I only wish we had found her sooner. We will ? be using Melissa next summer when we come back to Tahoe.”

“My dogs first sitter & I had a great experience, awesome communication and i got updates throughout which I really appreciated. I felt super safe leaving him with leilah! Will definitely be coming back to her next time around :)”

“Wow! What a great experience we had with Adam and Lauren. It was way above and beyond our expectations. We couldn’t say enough about their generosity and service. When we told Adam that we are having our anniversary, he made himself more available and making our trip more memorable. We highly recommend their service. We really like the way how Adam meets up first with our dog, and his knowledge about dog behavior and needs. The walks he takes our dog on were breathtaking views. You can see that they really love animals. So now, we have found our dog sitter for our dog, Rocky. So if you’re heading to South Lake Tahoe, and you need a dog sitter, we highly recommend Adam and Lauren.”

About: I’ve had dogs of my own since I was less than 10 years old, and have had my current dog Sandy for about 6 years. I have a lot of experience with dogs of all kinds- puppies to seniors, healthy to serious health concerns, I’ve done it all! I am a work from home teacher, so even during the weekday I am home for the majority of the day. My dog Sandy and I usually spend the day playing in the backyard, relaxing on the couch, or playing with her toys. My work schedule is not demanding, and I have summers off, so I have all the time to spend with your pups. I live in a 2 story duplex with just myself, my 10 year old friendly dog Sandy, and my fiance Austin (who also loves dogs!). The backyard is fenced and is shared by the other family in the duplex. Sandy usually roams free in the home, but we can crate in the home if necessary.
“Teresa was fantastic! We reached out just three days before needing care for our two dogs, and she was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with from the start. She sent us photo updates while we were away, which we really appreciated and gave us peace of mind. We were visiting from out of town, but we come to the area quarterly and will absolutely be using Teresa again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Patty & Randy were perfect dog sitters for Beckham. They couldn't have been more welcoming. Beckham is usually a little shy, but he adapted quickly to their beautiful environment and their other three small dogs. We look forward to using their services again. It was a comfort to know he was in loving hands.”

We provide a safe, active, and loving environment for your pets while you’re away. Since we are both fully remote, your fur baby gets consistent attention, not just quick check-ins. Our days naturally include multiple walks (morning, mid-day, and evening), outdoor time, and plenty of downtime for cuddles and relaxation. We’re very attentive and always know where your pet is, so you never have to worry about safety or supervision. If you’re looking for reliable, communicative sitters who will treat your pet like their own, we’d love to help. Our daily step goal is 8-10k steps so walks are a breeze starting first thing in the morning and after every meal. Nicole loves to create a calm environment in the home and cozy up on the couch. Alex is very active and will go for hikes, longer walks, and loves play. We have stairs in our home that lead down to our bedroom as well as to get down to the front door. About: Hi! I am a full time Gardnerville resident and would love to meet your furry friend. I am experienced with senior dogs and am very patient with our older friends who need a little more patience and tlc. But I also love a rambunctious youngster and would love to take your little one on fun hikes, walks or just a leisurely stroll around your neighborhood. I am available for walk visits, feeding visits or any visit your pet may need, even if it's just some love and a belly rub. I will also take small dogs into my home for overnight stays provided they are crate trained. I am available seven days a week. I work 3 mornings out of the home, but am only gone for approximately 2 hours. My husband is home most of those times and can look after your little one while I am gone in case any issues were to arise during my absence. I have a large fenced yard with plenty of room for your bestie to run around and enjoy the outdoors. There are no other pets in my home and if I am watching your pet, he/she will be the only animal in my home during that time. If a pet is staying overnight, they will need to be crated. I do not allow pets to sleep in my bed, but they can sleep in the bedroom with me and my husband if that makes them more comfortable.

I’ve spent the past few years caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and needs. I’m based in South Lake Tahoe and currently offer services that come to you, as I’m not able to host dogs in my home at the moment. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out—happy to chat! Looking forward to meeting you and your pup! I'm especially interested in overnight boarding for well behaved, house trained dogs. Younger or more challenging pups, I’d be happy to walk or watch outside of my house. I have a large fenced backyard centrally located in South Lake Tahoe. I have a small 8 year old Aussie Sheppard who gets along very well with others, especially small dogs.
About: I grew up in a rural area of Southern California and had animals my entire life. From rabbits to chickens, cats, dogs and livestock we had them all. I rescued my dog Molly about 12 years ago and she's my partner in crime. I am a personal trainer and highly active, outdoorsy person. Molly is a boston terrier mix and requires at least an hour of exercise each day. You'll see me walking, running or biking Molly along our local trails everyday and your dog can join us! If your dog requires substantial exercise we're the sitters for you. Because I work only several hours at a time as a personal trainer, I am in and out of the house often during the weekdays, so if you're looking for an alternate to doggie daycare while you're at work we could be a great fit. I have a flexible work schedule with large blocks of time free in the middle of the day, which is a perfect time to give your pup a walk break! I have a fully fenced in yard and my dog wanders in and outdoors throughout the day. I visit your home to take your pup out for exercise wherever she feels most comfortable.
About: Hi there! My name is Haley! I am a wife and mother and have been a long time animal lover since I was a little girl. I have always had the biggest passion for animals, before I even understood what that meant! I have pet-sat previously and I haven't met a dog that I haven't had an incredible connection with! I am currently a stay at home mom with my 2 year old son, who also LOVES dogs! We spend so much of our time outside, going on walks and getting energy out at the park - I would love to be your Pet Sitter and help out any way that I can! Our schedule is pretty consistent! In my house, we are either going for a walk when it's cool outside, playing in our fenced backyard with sprinklers and a doggy pool, or playing at the park and getting all of our energy out - or all of the above in one day! Being outside is our jam! I treat all animals with massive love and respect, they will get all of the attention they need in my care! The safety and happiness of your dog will be my #1 priority!

“Brett was awesome with my dog Scout. He was a great communicator and flexible with drop off time. Scout had a great time hanging with Brett at home watching sports and even went on two different hikes in the area. Scout came home exhausted and happy. Would definitely use Brett again !!”

“Gina was a great pet sitter. My dog Trixie had full run of the house. I was happy that they are home most all day. The trips to the dog park was an added bonus. Trixie can home happy and tired! We will be back. Thank you so much!”

“Our 2 Chocolate labs stayed with Lisa and her family for 3 days. She sent us updates and pictures which allowed us to enjoy our weekend away. The girls were happy and cared for and we will definitely leave them with her again.”
